Great location, house is dated, but it works for groups.
The house appears to be an older three-bedroom, one-bath home with a newer addition. The original house doesn't appear to have been updated much at all, and the downstairs bedrooms and bathrooms, especially, could do with freshening up. When we arrived, there were small elastic hair bands lying on the floor in the hallway, making me think the floor had not been vacuumed, and there was a pile of dirt/sand that had been swept together and left in the middle of the back living space. Many of the items I took out of the kitchen cabinets/drawers had to be washed (which can happen in a rental). The beds are older but comfortable. We like a softer bed and did fine. The unit worked really well for a group, as you have two different living spaces and plenty of beds. We only used the downstairs washer/dryer, which worked well. Having the beach gear to use was nice, and we found a crab trap, which was fun. The main living room TV had channels, but the second living room had no hookup. Thankfully, we brought an HDMI cord and a laptop. There are two kitchens in the unit, but we only used the main one. However, the oven didn't work well, resulting in our pizza being undercooked. The oven in the addition (back) was fine, so we used that one. There is an electric griddle, and they do have a crock pot, but it is a smaller size (maybe 4 qt?). They could do with more silverware, and the only thing I needed was a 9x13 pan. The AC worked well overall in the house, but the three downstairs bedrooms got stuffy when the doors were closed. We found two box fans, which helped. The living space is comfortable in both sections. Both tables have counter height tables, so if you have someone elderly, it may be hard for them. There is a hose in the back for rinsing off after the beach and the outside space is nice. We never heard a neighbor the 4 nights we were there. The biggest benefit is the location. It is quiet in the neighborhood but walking distance to the beach and boardwalk. You are far enough down the beach at 15th street you are not in the middle of the big crowds but close enough to all the action still. crossing the streets on 15th is not bad because there is a traffic light with crosswalk there. We had 6 teens with us and they loved being able to walk to everything. Overall the house worked well and the location was perfect.
