Seagull - 2 bedroom / 2 bath

*****There is construction on the upper Carlsbad beach sidewalk until late spring 2026 and then again during the winter and spring of 2027. They are replacing stairways to the beach and widening sidewalks. Nearby access points to the beach are still open and the lower seawall sidewalk on the beach is open. We are happy to confirm details and progress.*****

Welcome to Vacation in Carlsbad's newest property - Umi House! Luxuriate in our renovation while enjoying all the best that Carlsbad has to offer! You are directly across Carlsbad Blvd from the world-class beaches and popular surfing spots. Stroll, walk, run or bike along Whalewatcher's Walk into the Village to enjoy its shops and restaurants. 2 minute walk to Vigilucci's Seafood & Steakhouse for lunch, happy hour and sunset dinners. Only 2 miles to Legoland, the Flower Fields and the outlet mall.Less than a mile to full-service Von's grocery store.

Sparkling clean with comfortable furnishings and great amenities! Our kitchens are fully stocked and have Bosch appliances. We have hard-wired wi-fi access points for our super fast reliable internet (250Mbps). The master bedroom has a comfortable king bed and private bath, and the second bedroom has a queen bed. There is also a queen sleeper sofa in the living room - all luxury linens provided. There is one oversized, reserved parking space.

We also provide beach towels, beach chairs, umbrellas and boogie boards.


Day Trips to: Legoland - San Diego Zoo - Sea World - San Diego Safari Park - Disneyland - La Jolla Cove - casinos - wineries.

Shop the Village, Carlsbad Outlet Mall or at The Shoppes at Carlsbad.

Beautiful, convenient, and relaxing

Our stay was absolutely amazing! We were within walking distance of the beach and were able to enjoy a nightly/evening stroll and/or jog everyday. It was conveniently located near the village so we could walk for our meals and then enjoy the shops afterwards.

We had a great stay with our family of 3. Very conveniently located to the beach and village shops and restaurants. Very responsive host/property manager. At first I wasn’t sure about the shared beach gear and if there would be enough for everyone in the building but there was plenty to go around. Plenty of amenities and stuff to get started with such as laundry detergent, soap, shampoo, toilet paper, etc. I would definitely stay here again and recommend to others.

Wonderful getaway

Everything about this property was stellar, it exceeded all of our expectations. Mostly though, it was the care, concern and hospitality of the owner/ manager that will bring us back! We had a family emergency that prevented us from arriving on time. She worked with us so that we were able to enjoy our time there (once we finally arrived). Thank you!

July Vacation

We booked last minute and was unsure of location but this was the perfect spot. It is right across from the beach so if you forget anything you can quickly go back and get something. They had plenty of beach chairs, umbrellas, boogie boards to use. It was only about a 10 to 15 minute walk into town where there is plenty of shops and restaurants to choose from. Everyone was so helpful and we really had a great first visit to Carlsbad and can't wait to come back!

Perfect vacation Rental by the Beach

This two bedroom two bathroom apartment was so conveniently located , with a min walk to the beach. It is very well organized and clean. No disturbances which mean you get a peaceful sleep. 4 miles from Legoland. 5 mins drive to local convenience stores for groceries and other needs. Very much worth the money spent to rent this beautiful place, looking forward to come again.

Wonderful place

We really enjoyed our vacation at the Seagull place. Beautiful Carlsbad beaches. Start with Keyless entry, very clean and top of the line appliances, plush towels, very nice beds, lots of pillows. Place had everything we need. Best of all about 200 feet from the beach. We watched almost every evening beautiful sunset from our deck or on the beach. We will definitely rent it again.

Surf Break Across the Street

The simplest property. Well maintained, good beds, almost all you need to cook anything. It is right across the street from a surf break that will work for any level. A nice 10 minute walk to the Village, restaurants and cafes.

Great location and fantastic hosts!

We spent four days in October at Seagull, and it fit our needs perfectly. We had all the amenities we needed, and the beds were VERY comfortable. We had great access to the beach, and also a short stroll to great restaurants down the road. Spent time on the beach, catching up with family, and enjoying all the pups during our daily walks. We will definitely come back in the future.
