About the host
Hosted by Michel Leger

Hi, I'm Michel Léger – your host!
I am Acadian and speak French and English. I'm a passionate traveler who has explored the world, from the vibrant streets of Japan and China to the tranquil landscapes of Laos, Thailand, and Cambodia. I've ventured through every country in Europe, immersed myself in the rhythms of Brazil, and taken part in life-changing cultural exchanges along the way. One of my proudest moments was winning a photography contest at the World Expo in Japan – a reminder of how powerful stories can be captured in a single image.
Though I've seen much of the world, I'm deeply rooted in the Yukon for over a decade. I am originally from from the east coast, I am acadian therefore i speak french. Life up north has taught me to embrace the outdoors – whether it's fishing, boating, hiking, or hunting. I also have a deep appreciation for wild foods, especially mushrooms. Foraging is more than a hobby; it's a way of life. I'm always grateful to share a bit of that with guests, including my carefully harvested chaga mushroom tea.
As your host, I look forward to offering not just a place to stay, but a meaningful experience. Whether you're here to relax or explore, you'll find comfort, stories, and a warm welcome waiting for you.
