Shoulder Season Charm – A Quiet Escape
Spring and fall bring a different kind of Shuswap magic. Mornings begin with mist rolling over calm waters. Trails are quiet, beaches are wide, and local spots feel unrushed. Afternoons are perfect for hiking waterfalls, wine tasting, or exploring ATV trails at Crowfoot Mountain.
On cooler evenings, gather around the fire pit outside or cozy up by the electric fireplace indoors with a board game or movie. With fewer crowds and golden mountain light, this is the ideal base for a couples’ retreat, a quiet family getaway, or an adventure-filled weekend.
Guests love how fully stocked the home stays, even in the off-season — from kayaks and paddleboards to blackout curtains and bamboo bedding.
⸻ Cozy Comfort with Lake and Mountain Views
This two-level home sleeps up to 10 guests comfortably, welcoming everything from small family getaways to larger gatherings with multiple couples or generations.
The upper level features an open-concept living space with airy ceilings, large windows, and views that stretch across the lake and mountains. Natural light fills the home during the day, and evenings are best spent gathered on the deck, curled up by the electric fireplace, or sharing a meal at the dining table.
A carved rock bench near the fire pit is a cozy spot to reflect, and with the lake often calm in the mornings, coffee by the dock or a quiet paddle is a guest favorite.

About the host
Hosted by Jad Skara

Hi, I’m Jad — thanks for considering our Celista Beach House for your stay.
This property has been in our family for over 20 years, and it’s always been a place where we come together to relax, recharge, and enjoy the lake. A few years ago, we started sharing it as a vacation rental so that other families could experience what we’ve loved for so long — peaceful mornings by the water, sunny afternoons on the dock, and quiet nights under the stars.
We’ve worked hard to make sure the home is clean, cozy, and well-stocked. We keep things simple and thoughtful — blackout curtains in the bedrooms, bamboo sheets on every bed, a well-equipped kitchen, a BBQ on the patio, and plenty of extras like paddleboards, kayaks, beach toys, and board games.
I manage the property myself and I’m always available to answer questions, help with logistics, or make your stay as smooth as possible. We really care about guest experience and take pride in keeping the place in great shape. If you stay with us, we hope it feels just as comfortable and memorable as it does for us.

Why they chose this property
Celista has always been a special place for our family. We chose this spot on the north shore of Shuswap Lake because it offers the best of both worlds — calm, clear water with fewer crowds, and easy access to nature and adventure.
The area has a peaceful, laid-back vibe that makes it easy to unwind. Whether you’re here to boat, paddle, fish, hike, or just soak up lake life with your family, it offers a real sense of escape. The morning sunrises are beautiful, and the lake is often still and glassy early in the day — perfect for coffee on the deck or paddleboarding along the shore.
We also love that there are local gems nearby — a winery just up the road, the Celista Farmers Market every Wednesday in the summer, hiking trails, marinas, and great golf courses. And for those looking for a bit more adrenaline, Crowfoot Mountain offers great off-roading and side-by-side trails throughout much of the year.
It’s a place that feels removed from the chaos, but still close enough to find everything you need.

What makes this property unique
What makes the Celista Beach House stand out is its combination of comfort, access, and thoughtful extras — all in a beautiful lakefront setting. It’s not just a cabin or a rustic getaway — it’s a cozy, modernized family home that’s been carefully outfitted with everything we’d want for our own stays.
We’re located right on the water with a private dock, beach, and two large furnished decks. The home is spacious but cozy, with room for up to 10 guests and sleeping arrangements that work well for families, couples, or multi-generational groups. The kids love the paddleboards, kayaks, beach toys, and bunk beds, while adults appreciate the full kitchen, blackout curtains, and peaceful outdoor spaces.
The property is also uniquely positioned facing east — so mornings are bright and peaceful, and evenings are calm with starry skies and soft lake sounds. The carved rock bench near the fire pit is a guest favorite, and there’s plenty of outdoor space for relaxing, playing, or eating meals together.
We’ve also stocked the house with those little details that make a big difference — from a second fridge and freezer for bulk groceries, to board games, life jackets in all sizes, and high-speed Wi-Fi.
Whether you’re here to unplug, reconnect, or explore the Shuswap, this home is designed to make it easy.
