Nice time away

Great house, however, not stocked as well as most we've stayed at in Crystal. Only 2 beach towels, no can opener (had to borrow one from the neighbor). No beach toys.We go two or three times a summer, so luckily we know what we'll use and take it just in case. Close to the beach for early morning or late day walks!

I cannot say enough about this property. Everything was perfect and the location to the beach is GREAT! There is direct beach access right near the cabin. The owner was THE ABSOLUTE nicest!!

Outstanding property and stay

This was our third time staying here and it did not disappoint. Gorgeous house, close to the beach, and great outdoor space in a quiet neighborhood all combine for fun ad great memories. We will be back when we’re ready for our next dose of relaxation, great views, and salty breezes.

Mother’s Day Getaway

Lovely beach house in a great location! The back deck faces the beach with a terrific view of the ocean! I loved the lift, the gated yard and the huge back deck. The owner was kind and available. Everything was easy! Just wish we could’ve stayed longer.

Super nice

We loved this location, and that it has a lift. Ha. That was amazing. It was great having bathrooms for each room, and plenty of seating! The view was nice, the kids loved being able to get to the beach quickly. We had three generations staying and we all enjoyed it. The grill was a little tricky but we made it work for us.

Great for a family!

Sometimes on the rental home booking sites, you get to a house and you wonder where they took the pictures as it looks nothing like the house. Here is the opposite. We already liked the pictures, but they didn’t do it justice. Much nicer than expected and with two families including small children, we were impressed with many of the little things that come with the property. Like the lift to get everyone’s belongings upstairs when you arrive and down when you pack up. As the Dad who would have made 20 trips up and down the stairs, I thought the lift was outstanding. The kitchen was fully stocked with whatever you’d need to cook with including a roaster pan and crock pot. So many of the rentals have the bare minimum and sometimes you lug a lot more with you just to be able to have meals for your family. Not here though. We were pleasantly surprised. The whole place is great. You can see the beach from the massive deck. Upkeep on the exterior is done really well. Outdoor shower for washing off the beach sand worked well. There was a smoker, charcoal grill and gas grill for all your cooking options. Although you can drive on the beach which we did to set up our tents and chairs…the kids walked back and forth to the house only about 100 yards. In Texas we have been to Port A, Galveston, Surfside and Freeport, but this the first trip to Crystal Beach. We will surely be back and I’d book this house again in a heartbeat.

Location to the beach was as advertised and nice. The Interior was clean and very functional and well furnished. Disappointed with the rotten non functional gates on both decks and the rotten deck wood, stair posts, and deck chairs, also the downstairs sink was not functional.But despite those things it was a good stay.

Carefree Getaway!

Our group consisted of two retired couples and this was our special trip to the beach, and it didn't disappoint! With the outside lift to transport our luggage and then our groceries, it was so much easier than having to lug everything up the stairs. Everything was super clean, with the exception of a "gift" on an exterior rug from possibly a neighborhood dog. There were plenty of towels with the washer and dryer being available with laundry soap for cleanup at the end of our stay.We spent a lot of our time on the deck watching the waves and feeding the birds. They seemed to prefer Walmart's cheeze-it crackers over bread morsels.We rented a golf cart which we thoroughly enjoyed! We made several passes up and down the beach, visiting along the way. In summary, we had a wonderful, carefree vacation at this beach house and would definitely recommend it as one of our best stays on the beach!

Birthday trip

Beautiful home where you can see the water from various places in the house. The deck upstairs is big and the downstairs area is everything you need. Plus a fenced in yard for your pet or child. We celebrated our birthdays and it was perfect. We can’t wait until next year!

An Altnernative Labor Day getaway

We snuck out the weekend after Labor Day for our grandson's 4th birthday. Great house nice updates throughout, well equipped kitchen, lots of different spaces for groups to hangout. Short walk to the beach. Fantastic Host. Small issues with internet were quickly addressed by the host, giving us lots of confidence for the rest of the stay. Which was problem free.

Family Bday getaway

My 7 year old grandson always wants to celebrate his birthday at the beach. My husband and I decided to rent a beach house so we could all stay together. This house was perfect, three separate bedrooms with three separate baths. It has a beautiful back porch that overlooks the beach. Only a one minute walk to the beach. Both of our sons and their families were nicely accommodated. Each group could come and go as they pleased and we could also spend some meal times together. The connivence of a washer/ dryer and large patio grill were wonderful. We brought our small terrier dog who enjoyed a separate fenced in area. The outside shower area was great to rinse off after the beach and the electric lift made it easy to move our luggage in and out. Overall it was a great getaway.

Great Getaway!

Overall we had great stay at the house with our family over spring break. We had some trouble getting in due to a door malfunction but that was resolved quickly. So nice and close to the beach.
