Yardley on Argyle A Peaceful Hobart Studio
Situated in North Hobart, just a five-minute stroll from plenty of restaurants, entertainment options and the iconic State Theatre, this chalet-style studio is one of two ground-floor units at the rear of this beautifully restored local landmark building. Explore the CBD, waterfront, and Salamanca Markets—all within easy reach. Inside, raked ceilings and skylight windows drench the space in natural light. Air conditioning, heated floors, high-speed WiFi and a smart TV add to your convenience.
Bright and spacious, this studio offers a modern fitout with Tasmanian oak floors, soaring ceilings and a cosy front porch. There is an electric window control to allow a pleasant breeze on the warmer days and a heating/cooling pump to keep the entire studio cosy year-round. From the wall-mounted smart TV, you can access ABC iView, SBS On Demand and YouTube as well as local channels. Or simply log into your own Netflix account and use our free high-speed WiFi. Play your own music library on the JBL Bluetooth-enabled speaker and FM clock radio which also has USB ports to charge your own devices.
The kitchen includes an electric cooktop, microwave, refrigerator, high-quality cookware, and cutlery. Enjoy the morning sun with a coffee, dine comfortably with an evening meal or stroll to the North Hobart precinct to sample its famed restaurants.
The bedroom area is separated by a partial wall, offering built-ins to store your belongings and a comfortable queen bed with high-quality linen and doonas. A striking custom-built sofa in the lounge can easily be opened into a double-sized bed with a genuine spring mattress, sleeping two additional guests upon request. The bathroom features gorgeous Spanish tiles with a walk-in shower and in-floor heating. The built-in laundry includes a Bosch washing machine and a spin dryer along with a soaking tub.
There is plenty of street parking and on-site car parking is available by request.
During your stay, you and your group will have the entire apartment to yourselves. Please make yourselves at home!

Once one of Hobart's more historic working-class areas, North Hobart has become an inner city haven with easy access to everything Hobart and Tasmania have to offer. You’ll be less than a 10-minute drive from the CBD and Salamanca Markets, while Sandy Bay and Kingston Beach are also within a 20-minute drive.

We are proud to have saved and restored the main building by including two ground level studio apartments at the rear and a stunning townhouse two bedroom apartment above the original corner shop which will continue as a commercial business.
Due to local regulations, we can happily host you for up to 90 nights. Any bookings that exceed this duration will be cancelled by Vrbo.
