Hidden Hollow at Fairfield Bay, Arkansas is a beautiful A frame "cabin" in the woods. Very clean, comfortable, and very secluded! As stated, it is located on a very steep lot and the driveway is quite steep. Entry to the cabin requires quite a few stairs and it may be a limitation to some with physical liabilities. Overall, we enjoyed our stay!!!

Thank you for the fantastic review and for sharing such helpful details! Our secluded A-frame setting is definitely part of the magic here in Fairfield Bay, and we really appreciate you emphasizing the steep driveway and stairs so future guests know what to expect. We’re so glad you loved the privacy, cleanliness, and comfort of Hidden Hollow, and we'd love to host you again!
The property is beautiful and fully accommodated as listed! We stayed a week, the host reached out midway just to check in and make sure our stay was going well and we appreciated that! Check in/check out was very easy. Highly recommend staying here, especially if you love to explore the lake. Lake access was available, plenty of hiking nearby the property as well. Very clean and welcoming home. We hope to stay here again & bring the kids next time!

Thank you so much for the thoughtful review! We’re really glad the home lived up to your expectations and that everything felt easy and comfortable during your stay. It’s great to hear you enjoyed the lake access and got to explore some of the nearby hiking—those are definitely highlights of the area. We also appreciate you mentioning the mid-stay check-in; we try to be available without being intrusive. You were wonderful guests, and we’d love to host you again—especially if you bring the kids next time!
Really enjoyed sitting on the beautiful deck and taking in the lovely Ozark mountains. It was very isolated and peaceful. The property was well-maintained and had some nice finishes. I would say that it is not pet friendly -- very steep terrain, with no space for dogs due to the rocks and steep incline. Also, ticks seemed abundant. We had some issues with critters making their way into the walls which made for some noisy nights. The owner stated that it is a constant battle, but animals seemed to be doing some severe damage with the gnawing and digging. Though it is in the Ozarks after all, so I guess that could be expected. The people in Fairfield Bay were very friendly and we enjoyed playing pickleball with them. Overall a pleasant experience.

From the Owner: "Thank you so much for your thoughtful review! We’re so glad you enjoyed the deck and the beautiful views of the Ozark Mountains—it really is a special place to relax and take in the peace and quiet.
You’re absolutely right—our home is tucked away in the woods, which is part of what makes it so private and serene. The natural setting includes unique terrain and surrounding wildlife, which many guests enjoy when exploring and walking their pets while taking in the scenery.
We understand that occasional noise from wildlife can be noticeable, especially in such a wooded setting. It’s part of the natural surroundings, though we do take steps to help minimize any disruptions. We appreciate you sharing your experience, as it helps us continue to provide the best stay possible.
We’re happy to hear you enjoyed your time in Fairfield Bay and connecting with the friendly locals. Thank you again for staying with us—we’d love to host you again!"

Kitchen Light would flash and turn themselves on and off. No hot water in downstairs bathroom had to go up stairs to shower.

When you contacted us during your stay about the kitchen lights, we immediately reached out to help explain that these are smart lights that enter a reset mode if the wall switch is toggled too quickly. Once they were reset, the issue was resolved. Regarding the downstairs bathroom hot water, the fixture has been fully functional for guests before and after your stay. The faucet handle simply has a narrow range where the temperature adjusts from hot to cold, which we understand can be confusing at first. We always strive to respond quickly to guest concerns and appreciate you helping us improve future stays.
