About the home
“Blue Tides Getaway” is a delightful double-storey family and pet-friendly home in Cowes just a short drive or comfortable walk from the beach and supermarkets, restaurants & cafés of Cowes. Some of the many features of this lovely home are detailed below:
Indoor Areas
Downstairs the large open plan Kitchen/Dining/Living Room (with 55" smart TV and a selection of card & board games) flows through to the covered Deck. A central hallway provides access to a Bathroom (with shower), fully equipped Laundry (with washing machine & clothes dryer - located in the Garage), a separate Toilet, Bedrooms 2 and 3 (each with BIR) and Bedroom 1, which features a 43" smart TV, WIR and ensuite (with shower & toilet). Upstairs is the huge Rumpus Room (with 50" smart TV) and double sliding doors lead to the large Balcony.
Outdoor Areas
The upstairs Balcony (with seating for 8) provides lovely water glimpses and, with the covered downstairs Deck (with gas BBQ and seating for 8) overlooks the enclosed rear yard, which is perfect for children and pets. The front yard also features a hot/cold outdoor shower. The Single Garage (with clothes dryer, table tennis table & Foosball table) isn't for parking, however there is parking for 1 car in front the Garage, with an additional space for 1 vehicle (car and/or a boat) in the driveway, and additional street parking available.
Kitchen
The fully appointed kitchen is equipped with cooking utensils, crockery, cutlery, microwave, Delonghi EN750 pod coffee machine, toaster, kettle, Nutri Bullet, Blender, Slow Cooker, Sandwich Press, Rice Cooker/Steamer, Air Fryer, etc. plus a double sink, fridge, dishwasher, electric oven and gas cook top.
Heating/Cooling Systems
There are three wall mounted reverse cycle air conditioners in the home; one each in the upstairs Rumpus room, the downstairs Kitchen/Dining/Living Room and one in Bedroom 1, plus 2 additional stand-alone heaters and fans which can be used where required.
Bedding Configuration
This home has 8 beds, and 2 sofa beds, accommodating up to 14 guests:
Bedroom 1 (Downstairs): One Queen bed
Bedroom 2 (Downstairs): One Queen bed and one set of Single Bunks
Bedroom 3 (Downstairs): Two sets of Single bunks
There are also two Double sofa beds in the upstairs Living Room, each suitable for 2 adults or children.
Linen
It is common in the region for some linen to be provided for bookings, and some linen to be available as an optional extra. By default, a booking at this home does not include optional linen (top & bottom sheets, bath towels and pillowcases). What is included are doonas (quilts) with covers, pillows without covers, tea towels, hand towels and bathmats. If you would like the optional linen included in your booking, please let us know, including which beds you would like it provided for. The additional cost would be a one-off charge of $30 per bed - and we prefer 7 days' notice prior to your arrival to get that arranged.
Peak Periods
Please note that during the peak summer period and other peak times, check in times are set as 3pm unless by prior arrangement. Please also note that if you avail of the optional linen hire over these times, it may involve linen being left out but beds not being made up.
Functions, Celebrations and Schoolies
Please note that the home is not suitable for celebrations, parties or large events. The home also does not take bookings over Schoolies. All bookings are subject to approval, pending Guest verification process - Local council restrictions are in place for this property and compliance is mandatory.
