This bedroom is located in the sleepout, which is fully contained and connected to the cottage by a flyway. With stunning views up to Buck Rock from this bedroom and a feeling of "sitting out in the paddock" you'll revel in the tranquility.
Our open plan indoor living space means those spending time in the kitchen arent isolated from conversation. Indoor dining is done at the counter top

About this property

The Miners Retreat, Waiorongomai

Take it easy at this unique and tranquil getaway, nestled on the edge of the native bush of the Kaimai-Mamaku National Forest Park at Waiorongomai, near Te Aroha.

Our high end Miners Retreat has been custom built to be a high end accommodation hideaway. The name is a nod to the area of Waiorongomai, an old gold mining field of the late 1800's and early 1900's.

We have styled this new build to feel like a miners cottage, like it belongs to the area and its history of the region.

The Miners Retreat is a small single bedroom house with a high-end sleepout attached by decking and verandah. Inside the main house is the lounge, office area, kitchen, master bedroom with King Size bed, walk in wardrobe and master bathroom. 

The sleepout consists of a full bathroom and toilet  and bedroom with a king size bed. The sleepout is part of the large "tin" building consisting of the garage, laundry and sleepout.
