About this property
A VERY NICE 43' YACHT WITH LONG RIVER VIEWS AND ONSITE RIVERSIDE DINING
The Jewel in so many ways, has it all: For openers, you will have 2 parking spaces, and they are directly behind the Jewel! Pulling a trailer? We will find a space for it as well.
As for boarding, it is relatively easy no matter our ages. (See picture)
Then once you are inside, you will enjoy either central AC or heat, a private bedroom and bath with a shower/tub, a second very large v-berth bed and a small second bath with shower, a well equipped galley with fridge, separate ice maker, microwave/convection oven, cook top, filter style coffee maker (coffee aboard), toaster, double stainless steel sink, ample counter space, cabinets and everything needed to cook and serve your favorite dishes. And when the day is done, you will find a 32" smart TV and internet, a comfortable leatherette sofa and two very nice stuffed recliners just waiting for y'all to enjoy in the Jewel's spacious living room.
Outside? You can enjoy a covered stern deck to just laze, or to watch the show of life along the river. And at the end of the you might might wittness some absolutely stunning sunsets.
NOTE: This section of the marina has several liveaboard families. Therefore, loud music or excessive partying will not be tolerated!
To continue: If history is your thing, then you will appreciate that no one spot in the U.S. can offer more of our history than the five miles surrounding this area. It was all here, from prehistoric Indian villages (Pocahontas lived here with her husband John Rolfe), and the 2nd English settlement (Henricus, 1611, which was named for King James' youngest son), or the earliest plantations or Civil War and Revolutionary War skirmishes and full scale battles.
Sports of every kind are close by too, including the new Virginia Capitol Trail for cyclists, hikers and meanderers. And it might sound like bragging, but there is no place in the entire area that can surpass the fresh air surrounding this vessel! That is because the river runs south thru southwest just off the Jewel's stern. Yet off her bow open farm land runs from the south thru southeast and back to the north to complete the circle.
This boat and the surrounding areas are a great find for those who want to enjoy a quaint, private, and safe location, whether it is for a one night stay or a longer staycation.

About the host
Hosted by Captain Ron Blaha or Gianna Blaha de Leon

As an octogenarian and the last "huckleberry" still dangling on the bush along the James River who captained tugboats when they were "made of wood and men were made of steel", I am still making my way through the river of life as I enjoy meeting wonderful guests of every background, color, religion and creed, and from many places around the world.
Why they chose this property
This vessel is about as good as it gets in terms of privacy, value and service. It is clean, warm or cool (depending on the season) spacious and bright with great views of the James, and it is only a short stroll to the now famous Lily Pad restaurant and Chef Nick's hand cut and breaded calamari and his unequaled crab dip.
What makes this property unique
This small family owned marina is well managed 24/7/365.
