Gorgeous home, cozy with tons of space for our large group of 8 to stretch out! Easy walk into town for meals, drinks and gorgeous views. Easy check in and check out process. Our group especially loved outdoor evening relaxing around the fire pit. Highly recommend!
We had an incredible stay at this gorgeous home! The location is so perfect and even with small children you can walk into town. Having cribs available and a closet full of family games was a huge plus. There is a lot of space to spread out for a multi-generational visit. The house is stocked with everything you need (especially for a gorgeous lobster dinner). The owner is so helpful and easy to communicate with. We will definitely be back!
terrific location for those who like to walk into town everyday like us. Easy to get to all beaches. Plenty of room and rooms for our entire family ( 6 adults and 4 grandchildren).
This home is exactly like it is pictured. The best location with an easy walk to Dock Square. So clean and comfortable. The host was so gracious and helpful. Do not pass up this opportunity if you are going to Kennebunkport.
This is our second year at this property and we love it. The home is very comfortable, exudes charm, character and class and is in the perfect location for the many activities in and around kennebunkport. The home is beautifully decorated. We look forward to many years at the property.
Exactly as pictured- so lovely. Plenty of space to spread out. Katie was very communicative and helpful. Gave great recommendations- like ordering from Port Lobster and doing a lobster bake on the deck. It was so great! Will def book for my next group visit.
Once in a lifetime experience to stay in a truly grand historic property. From the wide plank floors to the exposed wood beams it felt like every day we stepped back in time to a different world, all the while keeping the modern amenities that any traveler would expect. We also loved all the antiques and various decorative elements in the house, which gave it a rich character full of local/regional flair. More than enough space for a large family, including the baby!
The property owners kept in close contact with our family throughout our stay to make sure we had everything we needed.
While it rained quite a bit during our stay (New England life) we enjoyed every minute of our adventure in the "Cup and Saucer" house!
The Cup and Saucer House is not just a place to stay but an incredibly comfortable home to spend time in with your family. We know the area well so we weren’t just looking for a place to stay but a home we could spread out in and enjoy each other’s company, cooking together, celebrating with multiple living spaces so ten of us could spread out. Historic charm combined with modern amenities made this a magical experience. Everyone kept saying it felt like being in a Hallmark movie.
Wow, what a great house for our annual family vacation. This house is HUGE. Plenty of room for everyone to spread out. We stayed with our two adult children and their families. We did not even use half the rooms there was so much room. The house had been beautifully restored and updated. You can tell the owner has taken extra care to maintain the charm of the house. The driveway was very big and held our 3 cars no problem with room for more. The backyard is wonderful and private. We had a family barbecue and everyone loved it. This location is easily walkable to town. The only time we used our cars was to go to the beach, which was a very short drive and we did not have any problem finding parking. On the main road for the beach you need a permit but we found plenty of side streets you could park for free. There is one small beach close enough if you don’t mind a longer walk but we only visited that beach one time for the fireworks. So many restaurants in the little town, which we walked to daily. The home is well stocked and clean. Honestly, nothing more we could have asked for. We stay yearly in different locations for our family vacation and hands down everyone agreed this was the best overall with location and size of home. The owner was great. Contacting us to make sure we did not have questions and when we did have questions she was quick to respond. If you are visiting Kennebunkport you can’t go wrong with this property. A+ all around!
The property is extremely close to Dock Side Square. Walking to the coast was a regular morning treat. The house was huge and everyone in our family loved it. A couple of us had to work and they found the Wi-Fi was excellent. There are so many rooms that if you needed some quiet time away from the group you had your pick.
The little kids 2, 3, and 4 loved playing with their toys in the sunroom. The Dutch door acted like a baby gate.
The room off the driveway entrance was our favorite as it had easy access to the backyard and deck. The backyard was a great place to let the kids get their wiggles out. It felt so private with the landscaping you wouldn’t have known we were in a neighborhood.
The fire pit was lovely to sit by at night.
The kitchen was big and no one was on top of each other when we were cooking. There are two ovens and a six burner cooktop so plenty of space for cooking multiple meals at once. It was also pretty well stocked. We are very particular in how we treat our own home so the helpful notes around the house were welcomed. The refrigerator and freezer are huge so you will have plenty of space for your needs. The Clam Shack is in walking distance as is Roma Pizza. We shopped at the Kennebunk Hannafords as it was nicer than the one in Wells.
There are great children’s shops in the Square too.
It wasn’t noisy at night so perfect for those that want to get good sleep. The beds were soft and comfy. Highly
recommend this beautiful historic home.
We enjoyed the close proximity to the restaurants and shops in Kennebunkport. The beds were comfortable and we used both cribs. The kitchen was well equipped and we enjoyed cooking lobster. We had a little hiccup with the propane gas running out but we used the outdoor grill and Katie was quick to respond and correct the problem. We loved Mother’s Beach for the young children since it also had a playground. We watched a sunrise at Walker’s Point and the sunset while enjoying dinner in Kennebunkport and along Ocean Ave. We also took Kylie’s Chance lobster tour which was a great child friendly boat ride. We finished off the week with S’mores at the fire pit in the backyard.
Our family enjoyed our stay at Katie's home. The location was great. In the past, we've stayed within walking distance of the beaches, and it was nice to stay closer to town this year. We enjoyed our short strolls to the shops and restaurants, and figured out a nice system for beach drop offs as well.
We had some issues with two of the AC split units on our first night, so we left a message with Katie. We heard back the next day with an update that she'd contacted the company who installed the units. She checked in regularly until the units were fixed.
If you are looking for an historic home with charm to match, this is a nice option. The cribs were great for the adults with an infant, and the twin bed room was fun for the cousins to share. We spent every night on the screened in porch and were grateful for that space. Katie was easy to work with and we had a great week.
I invited seven friends to join me at the Cup & Saucer for my 75th birthday. We had so much fun.
Though we didn’t do much cooking we could have easily cooked and served a five course meal. A special thank for for helping make my birthday so memorable.
This colonial home was beautiful and perfect for our family reunion! The home was built in 1784 and was expanded to preserve its original charm. We all felt like we were living in a museum as the home is filled with antique furniture and furnishings. The amenities were superb! There was plenty of space for large family dinners and offices for those who had to work remotely. We used the back yard for badminton, lawn darts and fire pit gatherings. The location cannot be beat; it is a short 5-minute walk to town. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed their stay at the Cup and Saucer!!!
Our family had such a wonderful experience in Kennebunkport and this house was absolutely perfect. It was clean and had all of the amenities so we didn’t have to worry about a thing. There was more than enough space for our family and we loved the large table on the back deck. Thank you for a wonderful week!
We had a wonderful stay at the Cup & Saucer House. Katie was a very accommodating host and seemed like she really wanted us to have a great time at her house. The house is incredibly spacious and well located -- just a short walk to town. There is a great screened-in porch and a beautiful, large yard.
This property was just as described in the listing. Walking distance to everything in town, spacious rooms, bathrooms galore. Katie was an amazing hostess and made sure we were happy and settled in. We used the fire pit several times to make smores in the evenings which may have been my son's favorite part of the stay! Would highly recommend to anyone looking to stay in town.
My three kids, their spouses and I spent a week at Cup and Saucer. The house is not only lovely, but so comfortable and warm. The kitchen has everything you need and then some. We loved having s’mores by the fire pit. Location was great - walk to town, day trip to Portland or Olgunquit. And Katie was easy to reach and very gracious and helpful.
Perfect home for two families with small children!
We stay here with our family (2 adults and three children ages 6, 4, and 2) and my brother’s family also 2 adults and 3 kids the same ages. The house could not have been more perfect for us! The house was well equip with everything we needed including beach chairs, boogie boards, and beach towels! The beds were comfortable and the bedrooms spacious. Our kids loved running around in the back yard and we enjoyed eating outside on the deck most nights. The house is also a very short walk to town which was great for our crew. And Katie is an excellent host. She checked in frequently to make sure we were enjoying our stay and was available before, during and after our stay to answer any questions we had. We would definitely return to this property and highly recommend this house for two families with small children to share.
We had a great time at the Cup & Saucer. The house is impeccably furnished, with all the comforts of home. Plenty of space for our group to spread out and work and play. Backyard is sumptuous and we enjoyed evenings out in nature by the fire pit. Walking distance from town is a plus - you can pop in for ice cream or pharmacy or to pick up takeout! Katie was a great host. Thank you!

About the host
Hosted by Katie Pressly
We bought this lovely historic home to enjoy with our children and grandchildren. We enjoy inviting our friends up as well to share this comfortable home and large yard for cookouts and lobster bakes.
Why they chose this property
Our Cup and Saucer home appealed to us because of its uniqueness. Though the third oldest home in Kennebunkport built in 1784, it has been lovingly restored with everything supplied for an easy getaway. One of our grandchildren’s favorite things to do is to take a short walk into town to buy ice cream and explore the shops. Our home just up the hill for Ocean Avenue for beautiful walking or biking as well as adjacent to two public parks.
What makes this property unique
Our home’s unique benefits is its spaciousness so everyone can spread out in its five bedrooms, four living rooms plus a quiet sunroom overlooking the backyard. Our private yard is perfect for toasting marshmallows, having cocktails around the fire pit, playing yard games, croquet and kickball. The upper deck is perfect for grilling or having a lobster bake. Our home offers all of the creature comforts of home and is easy walking distance to town and a short bike ride or car ride to the beach.
