Host was friendly & informative. Property is neat but could use some current maintenance. A little dusty with spiderwebs & outside chair was in disrepair. Setting on the lake was pretty. Amenities list could be more detailed. Too weedy for swimming& dock area a little rough.Town is tiny but pleasant with 2 good eateries for takeout & walkable.

Redfish Cottages are an ideal place to stay if you are anywhere in the Lyndhurst / Landsdowne / Leeds / 1000 Islands area. The property sits on a bluff at the edge of Lyndhurst Lake with a nice dock with chairs, canoes and paddles for guests and stairs down to the water and a swim platform a few meters out in the lake. Spectacular sunrises! The owners are exceedingly friendly and accessible at all times. Mel greeted me and showed me my cottage and the property and Susan showed me another cottage due to my curiosity. The cottage had a kitchen that offered everything I needed for meals. The bedrooms and beds are comfortable and quiet and the screen porch that looks out on the lake was a joy with an excellent view (made better with a full moon over the water while I visited). The little village of Lyndhurst is just a 5-minute walk away and the region has dozens of lakes and I suspect more water than land. Great fishing as well! I highly recommend this property.
