We are thankful for your stay and so glad you made some memories! Thank you for being easy to communicate with as well. It surely is appreciated.
Chantell's home is lovely and the view spectacular! The very steep grade to the lake was challenging for us as was the fishing, but we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves.

It certainly is a workout and why 4 wheel drive transport is recommended. I am glad you had a great time despite the grade.
The property was so nice, well decorated and clean. We loved the cabin feel but yet it was very spacious. The neighborhood was so quiet all day long, especially the evenings and nights. Our host was very helpful and informative. We will plan our next trip to the area on available dates of this property.
We had an amazing time at Chantell’s beautiful cabin. The location is ideal and the cabin offered all the amenities we could need. Additionally, we had a question early on in our stay and Chantell responded to us within minutes to answer our question and solve our minor issue. Fantastic host, fantastic space! 10/10 experience. Thanks!

Thank you for choosing our cabin! We love that it is close enough to do anything you’d like but still in a peaceful, relaxing spot! Happy to share so you could make some memories and relax. We appreciate your stay very much.
Continuing a family tradition of fun and relaxation.
As often as possible, my adult children join me for a weekend of fun and relaxation. Having a large house gave us private space as well as together space. The deck overlooking the lake was peaceful and allowed a spectacular view of the blue moon! The pier was a big plus as we love fishing and boating. A pontoon rental allowed the family to enjoy the lake together.
I would definitely rent this Stormy Retreat again!

We appreciate your stay. Thank you very much and we just put in a 40’ gangway to the peer!!! :)
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Stormy Retreat and would highly recommend. Property is as advertised and communication with Chantel was easy and efficient. We've stayed in the area numerous times with the biggest challenge being true water view and access. This property has both (definitely do recommend having 4 wheel drive vehicle for hill as is steep for some). Only recommendations (not criticism just areas of improvement opportunity) would be lighting/screen in deck areas to better allow group/game time. We come to this area annually and will certainly look into booking with Chantel again.

Thank you for staying with us!
So glad you had a wonderful time. I will keep your recommendations in mind.
Clean, well cared for home. Kitchen well equipped for all our cooking needs. 10 and 13 year old enjoyed games in garage. Lake was dropping so we were unable to use dock this time of year but kids still had plenty of enjoyment wading on Banks of the lake and playing in the mud. Views of mountains are spectacular. Great views of main channel Of lake from home as well. Smoker grill gave our burgers and pork chops an amazing taste. Hot tub was clean and views while in it were Also incredible. Beds were all comfortable and plenty of extra linens and pillows in closets. There were only 5 of us but this home could have slept many more with all the pull out couches. Each child had their own room and their Grandpa who came with us had his own private space as well.

Thank you for your stay. So glad you made some memories here:)
Our first vacation as a family of 4.
We hardly ever rate places unless it’s food related.
This property deserves a badge for being top notch 5 stars. A home so spacious & so cozy and inviting. Lovely sunrises & sunsets. The view to other hilltop locations and the binoculars made available to view birds or whatever that may spark your interest.
The interior is just as you see it.
I love the fireplaces and the high ceilings.
I’m pretty OCD , so when I say it’s clean and smells great it surely is.
I really enjoyed the master bath tub , the jets are on point with water pressure to help with any back or body aches. The master shower is a stand up and it can fit like 4 people in there , I’m saying that as a description. The light switch does have a side button like thing to adjust the lighting (the main light)to that master bathroom.
Also for every room too, you just click it up or down for how bright you want your lighting and then for the fans it has its own too for the flow of the fan.
Hot tub was nice and does get hot and satisfied me with relaxation and being able to look up at the stars was peaceful.
My favorite tub was the master bathroom though by far :-) we would definitely come back if we can the chance to again. ❤️ Property manager is very accommodating and responsive. She has definitely made many many families feel safe with their alarm system.
It’s like an upgraded suite on 3 levels , a home away from your personal home type feeling.
I didn’t one time feel uncomfortable. It was welcoming and cozy.
We really loved our experience.
Shame on anyone that would say any different, this was much needed for my boys and I, we highly recommend this.

Thank you for coming and making memories here! Hope to have you again sometime
Everything about our stay was wonderful. The house is right on the lake, the walk is a little steep but didn't bother us, it was good exercise coming up lol! The house is beautiful. Love the large windows and all the games downstairs. Our family had a lot of fun and we can't wait to stay again! House was very clean(I loved the smell of the sheets!) and had plenty of items we needed, we did bring extra TP and paper towels. Chantell was awesome at communicating. I can't rave enough of her and her property. There were barking dogs hours of the night but you can't control that. We look forward to staying again, thank you!!

Thank you for being good guests to host. Hope you all made some memories.
This is in a very nice neighborhood with large cabins spaced apart. It sits on Douglas Lake wih mountain views. There is a fire pit with a cooking rack down by the lake.
It is a short distance to Pigeon Forge where all the activity is and not too far from Gatlinburg.
It has 2 king size bedrooms each with its own bathroom/shower. One of these bedrooms is in the basement. In has a 3rd ensuite with 2 king beds (each bed in its own connected room). Each bedroom/bathroom was on its own floor which was nice for allowing privacy and space.
Also there are plenty of decks with various types of furniture. We ate dinner one night out on the deck.
The kitchen has everything you need. We cooked quite a bit. The only thing I would say is don't rely on them providing coffee because we only received 2K cups for our 4 night stay for 6 people. But the owner was super helpful and let me know everything that I needed to bring. Also the owner was always easily accessable when we ran into a question or problem. Also, they did have quite a few spices available for use.
There is a cool 2 person pacman game, sand shuffle board, air hockey, and an indoor basketball game. There is also a 4 person hot tub. All were very nice and worked great.
We had a few issues while we were there but nothing so bad that we wouldn't go back. Only thing that was the carpenter bees. They were so bad that we couldn't sit out on the deck until evening 2 of the days.

Sprayed for carpenter bees today. Crazy how fast they move in. I am glad you all made some memories. Thank you for your stay
The property itself was very nice especially with the Christmas decorations. We checked in on Tuesday and check out was Sunday. On Thursday our Family Christmas turned into a nightmare. The electric went out due to a winter storm that happened. The owner told us to hunker down because the power would only be out for a few hours at most. The power was out for over 40 hours. We had to survive over 40 hours without electric, heat, or water. The property is all electric so no wood or gas burning fireplace, the property had not one candle nor flashlight. We had to try, to not freeze to death with temperatures at 9 degrees and a pandemic with no water and unable to flush any toilets because the pump is electric. The owner had no provisions in place for any kind of power outage. My family was left to survive on our own, because we all saved for this vacation we couldn't afford to go to a hotel nor could we afford to leave because we had family come in from all over the U.S via airport and flights didn't leave until Sunday. So we were stuck! The owner offered on Christmas day to pay for battery powered heaters if we could go and find them but because it was Christmas nothing was opened. So we had to shovel the driveway to get out, to find a gas station that sold charcoal to try to cook food to eat being we bought all the food with us because we thought we would have access to a fully functional kitchen. You would think an out of state owner renting out there property would have some type of provisions in place, in the event of an emergency or an act of God. That the renter shouldn't have to go without heat, water, electric, and sanitized bathroom conditions for over 40 hours with temperatures below 10 degrees.

This was not anything anyone could have planned for. Local neighbors who have lived there for years said this was the first time in 10 years power was out for more than a couple hours. You could have asked for a refund at anytime and left. We did not force anyone to stay by any means. I did offer to pay for alternative heat, which stood true for the whole stay. This still does not condone your actions and damaging our property. Again, I can not control acts of God or Mother Nature and apologize for things out of my control, nearly 20000 people were in the same situation and no generators were available, I did try.
We are in the process of changes should anything like this happen again as this is something I never dreamed would have happened.
Warm and comfortable cabin. Beds are comfortable, kitchen is well stocked with dishes, beautiful view, kayaking, and plenty of space to enjoy friends and family. Highly recommended!
