The Preserve Resort is an exclusive community on the quiet side of the Smoky Mountains but conveniently located a short drive from all the attractions. Honeysuckle Meadows Pool and Deli is at the base of the mountain, where you can swim through Labor Day weekend, fish (year-round), and enjoy a great meal.

Our 2100 sq. ft. cabin sleeps up to 12 guests if you use the teen loft on the upper level. Two guests will sleep on the loft floor mattresses. As seen in the pictures of the top floor, you must climb a ladder to the teen loft.

The kitchen has all the necessary appliances, including a dishwasher, microwave, toaster, Keurig, standard coffee maker, and coffee press. We provide a starter supply of Keurig cups, ground coffee, sugar, creamer cups, and Splenda.

While you can enjoy your stay without leaving the resort, endless fun and adventure opportunities are nearby! Townsend is just 10 miles away and has an entrance to Cade's Cove, part of the Great Smoky Mountain National Park. It's famous for outdoor adventures like zip lines, riding stables, trout fishing, hiking, and tubing. In Townsend, you will also find restaurants, antique shops, and gift stores. Wears Valley is even closer and offers cute and quirky shopping and dining experiences.

About 15 miles from the cabin down Wears Valley Road are Pigeon Forge and Sevierville. You will find Dollywood and The Island, two of our favorite spots! The Island has shopping and great restaurants like Paula Deen's Family Kitchen and Margaritaville. And remember to ride the giant Ferris wheel! If you like country cooking, eat at the Old Mill in Pigeon Forge. For something closer, at the bottom of the mountain, turn right and go to Elvira's for breakfast or lunch.

You can drive through Pigeon Forge to Gatlinburg or take a shortcut from the cabin through the beautiful National Park and bypass a lot of traffic! There, you will find LOTS of restaurants, shopping, arts, and entertainment like Ripley's Believe it or Not, Annakeesta, and Ober Gatlinburg (formerly Ober Mountain). It's a great place in summer and winter to hang out with your kids. Get the wristband and enjoy all the rides, including bumper cars, a mountain coaster, a rock-climbing wall, a small zoo, and even the tram down the mountain to Gatlinburg strip. There is a parking fee, but it's cheaper than parking in Gatlinburg.

Vacation with Entire Family

I can't say enough great things about our stay. My husband and I had our 4 children and their spouses as well as our small granddaughter. We enjoyed the relaxing amenities and the beautiful views from the cabin. The best part was seeing bears everyday from our front porch. The cabin itself was beautiful and fit every need that we had. The kitchen was well stocked and we utilized it everyday of our stay. The bedrooms were perfect. Everyone in our family slept great on the comfortable beds. We would definitely recommend this cabin to anyone who is looking to get away for a week or a weekend. We were close enough to Wears Valley but far enough away that we felt secluded. We can't wait to have another family vacation here♥️

We had a fantastic 3 days of family time!

We had a great stay at Under The Shooting Star cabin. Very easy to find, beautiful views! Christmas decor throughout, very festive! Everything was in working order. If you plan on cooking, the kitchen is very well set up for preparing meals. Would we do it again? YES!

Cabin 2865 in The Preserve 2/13 for three nights

The cabin was just what we needed. Sleeps 14 and we had 11 people staying so we weren't crowded. There were a few things that could be improved on however. There was almost no toilet paper. Lot of trouble to go down the mountain to get some. The air hockey game needs to be replaced badly. It actually sways. These two problems were a small price to pay for my family being together for the weekend. There was much excitement about the bad weather coming in which resulted in some of our party leaving one night early. I was glad they left just to get them safely off the mountain. Was thrilled Monday morning when there was no precipitation yet and rest of us were able to get off also - we were in a two-wheel drive vehicle. Overall, we had a wonderful time - I'd trade the view from my house for the view from your cabin any day!

We love the mountains and decided the Great Smoky Mountains was the best place to begin our vacation rental investment. We've hiked up and down the Blue Ridge Parkway, Shenandoah National Park at the north end and Cherokee at the south end. The Great Smoky Mountain National Park is one of our favorite hiking spots. Our now grown daughters and one son-in-law love hiking and camping, too.

Why they chose this property

We chose this cabin for the beautiful and serene view. The roads in are all paved and very drivable, if not a little twisty at times. But its completely worth the drive! There's plenty of space for our whole family including parents with an easy entrance and main level bedroom. We know your family will enjoy it too! The kitchen is stocked for cooking, or you can drive into Pigeon Forge and eat at the Apple Barn. Beware! The apple dumplings are addictive!

What makes this property unique

Sit on one of the three covered decks and stare at the awesome mountain views. It will make you want to break out singing! You also have to visit the pool and pavilion in the common area. The views there will make you think you are on the top of the world.
