About this property

Creekside Cottage | Private Dock, Edingsville Beach Access & Marsh/Creek/Ocean Views

Creekside Cottage | Private Dock, Private Edingsville Beach Access & Marsh/Creek/Ocean Views

Discover your own private slice of the Lowcountry at Creekside Cottage - a breathtaking 4-bedroom, 3-bathroom retreat (1 King, 1 Double, 2 Queens) nestled beneath ancient live oaks in the exclusive gated community of Cowpens on Edisto Island. Tucked between the Atlantic Ocean and a serene tidal creek, this is the kind of place where your phone stays in your pocket and your soul finally gets the rest it deserves.

A Nature Lover's Paradise
This is Edisto Island at its most unspoiled and unhurried. Cast a line or drop a crab trap from your private tidal creek dock, launch a kayak into glassy morning waters, or simply sit and watch bottlenose dolphins arc through the salt marsh while pelicans coast overhead. The extraordinary biodiversity of the surrounding Lowcountry ecosystem - tidal creeks, ancient marshes, maritime forest, and open Atlantic - makes every walk, paddle, and sunrise a genuine experience.
Just a half-mile stroll or bike ride brings you to the legendary and largely undiscovered Edingsville Beach - a private, pedestrian-access shoreline where low tide reveals shells, fossils, and fascinating artifacts from the 19th-century village that once thrived here before a series of powerful hurricanes claimed it in the late 1800s. History, nature, and solitude all in one extraordinary stretch of sand.

Lowcountry Comfort Indoors
When you're ready to come inside, Creekside Cottage delivers warmth and elegance in equal measure. Magnificent hardwood floors, smooth ceilings, and thoughtfully curated furnishings set a tone of relaxed sophistication throughout the living area. The well-stocked kitchen features top-of-the-line appliances and everything your group needs to whip up a Lowcountry feast worthy of the scenery outside.

Ease into the evening on the screened-in porch with your favorite book or a cold cocktail as the southern breeze rolls off the marsh and the last light fades over the creek. There's simply no better seat on the island.

Satellite TV is available for those rare rainy afternoons, and Edisto Beach's restaurants, shops, and Plantation Golf Course are just a five-mile drive away when you're ready for a night out.
