So sorry you are now expressing your disappointment Jill - I will address your issues the best I can - - * ck-in time is 5pm. if the unit is ready early I have no problem allowing ck-in prior to, or if requests are made for early ck in I always try to accommodate- with that said - you texted me at 4:50 for a keycode - I responded & told you I had not heard from my cleaner- unfortunately there are times when prior guests don't always leave the unit as they recvd them - You were able to get in the unit a few minutes before your 5pm check-in...are you assuming because you arrive early that you should have access? I always try to get guests in 30 min prior, but it's NOT a guarantee & doesn't always work out that way - but you were still in at the stated check-in. * "you had to text twice for Wi-Fi " I always ask my guests to TEXT with questions & I TRY to respond within 30 minutes - you texted me at 5:10 & 5:24, I responded at 6:10 - I apologized & told you I was with clients & did not immediately recve your text.... *Thank you for telling me about the "vice grip" - did not know about that until you posted your review - I confirmed with my cleaner & was told that was an item that occurred with previous guest & unfortunately that could not be replaced prior to your arrival- Had I known I would have certainly made you aware! They did the best they could so that you could actually use the dryer until the part arrives. (Yet you never said anything about it during your stay. 🤔 ) *Elevator: I unfortunately was not made aware of the bldg being hit by lightning & frying the elevator until right before you arrived (was notified by email)- as was explained to you! You then waited until nearly 8pm on Sunday night (you checked in on Friday) to tell me you felt you deserve compensation... I was out of town Mon & Tues - responded Tues evening that I would call you the following day (it was late) & to let me know what it was you wanted.....when I called, you had no idea what you wanted, however you wanted to know what I was willing to offer- I told you I dont see a need for compensation. I have no control over storms, the bldgs being hit by lightning, or the elevator going out. Unfortunately we are all use to storms & the elevator being out of commission - we are not reimbursed by the HOA for those inconveniences, it is part of beach life! ....again I asked you what you were pushing for & you told me you would need to tallk to your partner & get back to me - you never did. We open our home for guests to come and enjoy the beautiful OBX, the beaches, the peace & tranquility the sound offers & so much more - in hopes that people can & will enjoy the area as much as we do! For that reason "lack" of communication is not a problem I have with my guests, I'm sorry you feel that way. I love for my guests to return & share their OBX experiences! - It's always best when you have issues to try & convey those to your point of contact, not wait until after you leave... I wish you the best on your next getaway! 😎
