The property is charming and clearly has a long and interesting history. We had a great time on the upper deck and from the front porch, watching birds at the feeders. The kitchen has limited counter space, especially when cooking for 5 adults, but we made it work.
Arrived to cool weather, a slight breeze and a welcoming house. The house has history and it was great reading about "Papa" George. Coincidentally, my name is George. The Family moved in quickly and immediately following that we sat outside in the shade and listened to the breeze blow through the trees. The house is very comfortable and the heat was not needed at all the whole weekend, nor was there a need for AC.Day trips around the area to see Bisbee and Tombstone were had, but each evening it was back to the Ranch, a good meal and watching the sun set.We all got had a great time watching the deer that came around every afternoon (3pm'ish), they loved the carrots. We also got to watch a fox, a mess of squirrels and to many birds to count.Very relaxing, exactly what we all needed. Feeling better and much more relaxed we set out for home planning the next trip to the Bear Mountain Ranch.
Great location for Tombstone, Bisbee and Ramsey Canyon Preserve! Great accomodations for multiple family group.Kitchen was small but was well stocked for meal prep. Enjoyed the grill and outdoor fire pit on cool evenings. Whole family loved the place. Host communicated well about things that may not be standard like the food disposal switch was under sink. That was so thoughtful to think of letting guests know. Thanks for everything.
Ramsey Canyon area is beautiful. Stayed during the weekend of 4th of July and it was very quiet and serene. Will definitely be coming back to Hereford area in the future.
We enjoyed the quiet, well equipped and lots of individual privacy of the house. We are birders and the house is well located to many prime areas. The family history of the house was lovely as well. It felt like we were guests at a family’s retreat.
Nice property with lots of room for our family. Would stay again.

Our stay at Bear Mountain Ranch in Ramsey Canyon was nothing short of great. Nestled in breathtaking nature, it offered serenity and unmatched hospitality. The accommodations perfectly blended rustic charm with modern comforts. Exploring the surrounding trails was a highlight, showcasing the area's natural beauty. This ranch is a rare find for those seeking tranquility and adventure. It left us all rejuvenated and eager to return. Highly recommended for an unforgettable getaway.
This was a family trip to the Tuscan Gem Show. The home was as described. Quiet and peaceful. It was farther from Tuscan then we expected, but we enjoyed other areas. The kitchen pans could be updated. We cooked all meals at the house and the pans were sub-par for my taste and I would recommend replacing them. Thank you for being a gracious host.
Home is large with plenty of space to move around in. The upstairs library and patio were the best part any time of the day, with windows looking out through the trees and to the mountains. All bedrooms are on the bottom floor, with a couple of steps leading to the living room, dining room and breakfast area. It was a little warm when we visited but the A/C in this home was fantastic. The first thing we heard when we drove up was the wrestling of the breeze through the tree tops, it moved in waves that was mesmerizing!
This home was large and comfortable for our family of 8, plus a dog, many bedrooms and living spaces where people could find a nook to relax. We came to enjoy the bird watching in the area, and especially enjoyed walking/hiking from the house on the dirt road, E Brown Canyon Rd. The bird feeders were really well used, and fun for us, we recommend putting up oranges for the Scott's Orioles. The kitchen was quite well supplied, good appliances, washer and drier, bathrooms clean and functional, comfortable beds, good yard for the dog. Warm at night even with temps below freezing. Thank you for a great stay.
David made everything easy. House is in a perfect location in a beautiful, quiet canyon with lots of birds and quick access to multiple hiking trails and historical areas around southern Arizona and the San Pedro Riparian Conservation area.
The views are gorgeous and the home is spacious. We enjoyed hiking the trail that goes directly in front of the property. A quiet get-away for sure. We had trouble finding the light switch for the dining room and there's no obvious place to take out the garbage, but other than that we had no issues and loved our stay.

Why they chose this property
This house belonged to my parents and has been in our family for decades. Our family is originally from Bisbee, AZ and my father started with the Arizona Highway Patrol when they first began in 1957. He patrolled all over Southern Arizona throughout his career so we have a special connection with this area. This house was a place for family gatherings and many special memories were created here. We hope you and your family can experience the same. .
