Gaze upon sweeping views of the mountains and valley from this incredible log cabin (yes, it's made in the Lincoln log style!). The views from the enormous 30-foot windows in the living room provide views of Brasstown Bald mountain and three different states. Multiple decks, including one with an outdoor living room, provide space for everyone to relax and be together. The private gas grill is sure to provide fun and delicious entrees cooked outside. Indoors, central air conditioning will help keep everyone comfortable during your entire stay. The home's movie theater is well equipped for movie marathons. Just remember to make up some snacks inside the fully equipped kitchen that includes a wet bar, granite countertops, and a kitchen table that was used in two scenes of the movie “Insurgent.” The entire home is full of treasures like this, including a reclaimed Georgia gold mining cart in the living room, mounted on railroad tracks from Charlotte and set on Georgia barn beams. The wooden eagle in the same room is from Mexico, while the antique canoe and other taxidermy were from sources throughout the Southeast. Can you find the cutout of the Duke? He's hanging out near a prime work station within the home, suitable for remote work or schooling. Two wood burning fireplaces and two gas fireplaces add a warm atmosphere, and the firepit is lit with logs from the original construction of the home. Take some time to enjoy the fresh air inside the private hot tub. There's room for everyone at this luxurious home.
What's nearby:
This home's rural location is part of its charm. But the wider area and natural beauty are sources of wonder and adventure that will keep the whole group exploring. Visitors arriving in October will be able to witness the start of Fall Color Season along the Blue Ridge Parkway - enjoy the view of Appalachia flooded in red, golds, and some lingering shades of green in an autumnal paradise! Morganton Point Recreation Area, right on the edge of Blue Ridge Lake, is a great source of lakeside fun and activities on the water just under 10 miles from the campsite. Don't forget to stop off at the Boat Dock Bar & Grill for some fried pickles, just under 13 miles from the home.
