Pelican Pointe 429:Walk to Beach~Pool~Free Parking

IMPORTANT NOTICE: Pool Closed & Construction February 19th - March 1st, 2024. Between the hours of 8:00 am and 5:00 pm, there will be excessive construction noise, including jack hammering, as well as the presence of dust. Pool will remain closed and re-open on March 2, 2024.

Enjoy the beach life at Pelican Pointe Hotel and Condo. Cozy accommodations with free parking and a heated pool, just a short walk across the street from beautiful Clearwater Beach. Unit #429 is located on the 4th floor, situated at the far end. It offers a shared balcony that overlooks the pool with a limited but enjoyable view of the Gulf.

Location:
Clearwater Beach - White sand, crystal clear waters, and endless sunshine. A paradise for beach lovers. Pelican Pointe is centrally located in the heart of Clearwater Beach, right across the street from one of the top-rated beaches in America. It is conveniently positioned within a short walking distance from various restaurants, exciting nightlife options, and an array of enjoyable activities that makes Clearwater Beach an incredible destination.
Please Note: There is ongoing construction on the property just north of our hotel. This does not affect our property, grounds or amenities although you may experience construction noise and dust during your stay.

Accommodations:
Our double suite is the largest and most impressive room we offer. It's designed to accommodate up to six guests and offers two full size beds. With a spacious living area of 380 square feet, you'll have plenty of room to relax. A private bathroom is fully stocked with towels and toiletries for your convenience. Additionally, the room includes a well equipped kitchenette and a flat screen TV for your entertainment needs. The separate living area has a full size sleeper futon and a dining area. If you want to enjoy some fresh air, you can step out onto the shared balcony, which has seating for two. To ensure your stay is worry-free, our dedicated on-site staff provides daily housekeeping service so that you can sit back and relax!

Phillies Spring Training and Beach vacation

This Clearwater Beach condo was perfect for 2 people. It was very clean and well equipped…we noticed and loved the improvements since our last stay in 2023. The privacy of the end unit is great. Good location…easy walk to the beach, restaurants and stores. The front desk and staff were very friendly and accommodating. We look forward to our next stay here!

Great kitchenette

Only place my family has ever stayed with items to take to the beach, beach cooler, chairs, totes etc. and the suite had 2 TVs and games for kids. Will stay again!

Great Stay

Stayed here on a trip for work. Close to everything. Very clean and comfortable and good solid wifi which I needed for work. Better to stay here than some overpriced hotel.

Great Stay in Clearwater Beach

We had a great stay at pelican 429! The location is close to the beach and a ton of good restaurants and stores. The place was clean upon arrival, and the housekeepers did a great job at maintaining cleanliness during our stay. Staff was accommodating and let us check in early. We would stay again!

Great location

Location was great and rooms were just the right size. Quick walk to the beach, restaurants, shopping, and even ice cream. Kids enjoyed swimming in the pool and it was great that there were some pool toys to use as well. Everything was spaced out and relaxing

Pros-staff was very friendly attentive and helpful. Housekeeping was wonderful. Location is great. The pool is heated. The full size fridge and sink are nice. Good size space for the price. Cons- the elevator was broken for part of our stay and we were on the 4th floor. We had to carry all of our luggage up 4 flights of stairs after a 12 hour drive to get there. The beds were not comfortable. Very hard, the mattresses felt old.

First time in Clearwater and this location was perfect! We were in walking distance of everything. The view was really nice, so close to the beach and places to eat! The place was very clean and house keeping always got us towels so quickly. Front desk people in the lobby were very friendly. Overall, a very good experience!

Sun, Fun and Phillies baseball getaway

This Clearwater Beach unit was a very clean room and the perfect size for 2 people. We loved the privacy of the end unit on the top floor, which was especially nice when sitting out on the patio. It was a great location. Easy walk to the beach and to many restaurants,stores and other activities. There was a nice, clean pool. The hotel management was very friendly and accomodating. Housekeeping had a great system for exchanging towels and providing additional toiletries. We would definitely stay at this unit again!

great stay.. floors were really dirty. if walking barefoot they were black, I did tell front desk to clean. no shower curtain and lights bulbs were out.. no-one cleaned this room before us..

Great location but needs updating

Location - 5 stars!!! The location of this hotel is its biggest selling point! It is within walking distance of the beach and several different restaurants. It's about a 10 minute walk from the pier and 5 minutes to the beach. 2. The Pool - Our kids loved the pool and we enjoyed it too after coming back from the beach! There were lots of floats and pool toys for everyone to enjoy and they had tables with chairs and umbrellas. Now the not so great: 1. Overall condition - this hotel is in desperate need of some updates and renovations. Our room was pretty bad and the bathroom just disgusting. The shower head and tiles had mold all over. The tub was rusting and it appeared as if they just painted over it to try and disguise it. The vending machines looked like they on their last leg as we and there was only one ice machine that we saw which was on the first floor. We were on the 4th floor so it was quite a hike. 2. The hospitality - this one is rough as we had a negative experience followed by a positive one. We arrived for check-in at 2:51pm and check-in is at 3. I understand we were slightly early, however, not by anything significant. We were told they were not prepared for an early check in and literally made us stand there for 9 minutes and then let us go to our room. On the other hand, when we checked out, we were waiting for our ride to the airport to arrive. My daughter was hot and asked for some water. I went into the office to look for some and didn't see any. It appeared the manager was in the lobby and noticed me looking around. He asked what I needed and then had one of their employees go grab 2 bottles of water for us. I thought that was very kind of him. Overall, if you are looking for a cheap place to stay on vacation and don't care about the conditions of the hotel, stay here. If you are looking for something a little cleaner, I would stay elsewhere.

In addition, we want to ensure that the floors and disinfectant is dry before allowing you to enter your room. We do have two ice machines, one on the first floor and one on the third floor. We do apologize that you had to keep coming down to the first floor for ice. We hope that you choose to stay with us again so that we may exceed your expectations like I know we can.

Dont Stay Here! They have a Ant Infestation Problem

We stayed here dates 9/26-9/28 we were paid through 9/30 however when we returned on our 2nd day there were ants crawling on the walls & floor. When we advised the front office we will be leaving the resort, they offered us a can of bug spray or move to another room. We are not comfortable staying in a facility that has bugs, we don't want to take them home with us, as I'm sure you don't either. Yes the resort was close to the beach, yes they provided plenty of towels, and yes the front office people were nice until our issue. Then we found the office door locked, when we tried to talk to the manager when I tried to call the manager the next day as advised by the VRBO owner he was not available and never returned my call. The building is in desperate need of upgrades, the door to our room didn't seem to close all the way there was a large gap between the door and frame, almost like the door was too small. We were very disappointed with our stay. If you don't mind ants crawling around, sure stay here but I work too hard for my money to sleep in a place where they have a issue with pests.

I see you were disappointed with your stay and I'm sorry to hear that and I would have loved the opportunity to try and resolve your concerns before leaving. On Tuesday Sept 28th when you reported your concerns to the office it was after hours and we had no maintenance staff onsite to tend to your concerns immediately. I was notified and I did return to the hotel to treat for ants and speak with you but nobody was here to speak with. I waited until 9:30 pm to talk with you after my front desk agent had relayed your argument with him that you were not going to move to another room and my treating the room for ants were not options you would accept and that you were already out getting another hotel and had demanded a full refund or we were getting a bad review. I hope you understand we represent the unit owner and have to consider both parties when it comes to refunds. We would never take lightly the money you have invested in your vacation as well as the owners money earned from there investment so we focus on resolving any customer concerns allowing us to maintain our customers satisfaction and refraining from refunds in exchange of bad reviews. I want to make you aware that I did inspect your room finding the trail of ants from the front door to the food crumbs directly under the futon with another trail of ants from the opposite side of the door back to the food crumbs just under the vanity cabinet outside the bathroom but no others on the walls or anywhere else in your unit. We do use Orkin Pest Control for all our pest prevention needs and are under a unique contract which offers a guarantee to be free of bug infestations including bed bugs! Being this is your family business I'm sure you understand how unique this is. I hope this gave some clarity to your misunderstanding as we try our best to leave all our guest with the most satisfaction we can and doing whatever we can to improve a frustrating situation.
