We had an amazing time at this holiday home in Crete. The pool was perfect for cooling off, the interior was beautifully furnished and had everything we needed, and the view from the terrace was breathtaking. A special thanks to Marcin, who was incredibly friendly and gave us fantastic local tips. We’d definitely love to come back!

We had an amazing time, property was fantastic with a wonderful outdoor space to while away the hours in peace. This was a great location to explore southern Crete, there were plenty of restaurants close by for a great meal if you wanted to. Drive up the hill was interesting, but not a problem. The apartment had everything needed and more. My only criticism was, for me, the bed was a little hard but that did not spoil or influence how much we loved our time here. Thoroughly recommended to anyone who wants a relaxing, quite, private holiday.

An amazing spot for the ultimate relaxing holiday. Apartment has everything needed for a relaxing getaway and the pool was an added bonus on the hotter days. The drive up can be a little daunting at first but it is absolutely worth it when you reach the terrace with views over the hills and mountains. The perfect spot to watch the sunrise and sunset. We would definitely come back to this beautiful place again :)

Amazing Views

This villa was the highlight of our trip to Crete. The view of the town below you, the personal pool to cool off in, and just the right amount of space inside (with air-conditioning!) to retreat to after a day of checking out nearby Kalamaki Beach or the quaint local towns. There are a couple of restaurants within walking distance and a grocery store a short drive from villa as well. The villa is is a perfect location and is very quiet, we basically had the top of hill to ourselves during our stay. It will be a while before we make it back to Crete, but when we do we will be sure to see if this villa is available.

Wir hatten nach unserer Ankunft am Flughafen Kontakt mit Marcin aufgenommen (er ist sowas wie ein Hauswart) und als Treffpunkt die Apotheke in Kamilari ausgemacht. Von dort aus hat er uns zum Haus geleitet. Die Straße nach oben ist eine steile Schotterpiste und nur für geübte Autofahrer geeignet. Das Appartement liegt im Haus der Besitzer, die oben im Haus wohnen (waren während unseres Aufenthalts allerdings nicht da). Es ist ein kleines aber gut ausgestattetes Appartement. In der Küche war alles vorhanden außer einer Bratpfanne, die uns Marcin auf Nachfrage am nächsten Tag gleich brachte. Im Bad gibt es keine Lüftungsmöglichkeit. Man muss dann die Glastür öffnen und über das Schlafzimmer Luft hereinlassen. Der Kleiderschrank bietet ausreichend Platz. Handtücher/Duschtücher waren die in großer Menge vorhanden. Es ist empfehlenswert alles gegen Mücken mitzunehmen. Wir hatten einen Mückenstecker für drinnen, Mückenspiralen und Citronella-Kerzen für draußen. Die Aussicht von dort oben ist ein Traum. Man blickt auf das Dorf, die Olivenbäume und sogar auf das Meer. Man muss sich aber bewusst sein, dass man in Hanglage wohnt und sollte gut zu Fuß sein. Das Dorf mit zahlreichen sehr guten Tavernen erreicht man in 10-15 Minuten. Der Pool bietet angenehme Abkühlung. Er wird von Marcin am frühen Morgen gereinigt, wenn alle noch schlafen. Wir hatten einen tollen Aufenthalt und können dieses Appartement weiterempfehlen. Ausflugsempfehlungen: Matala, Rouvas-Schlucht, Phaistos

Die Lage des Apartements ist traumhaft - absolute Ruhelage aber dennoch nicht weit weg vom Ort Kamilari sowie vom Strand Kalamaki. Auch Matala ist nur ein paar Kilometer entfernt. Für ein Paar oder eine Familie mit Kleinkind ist die Größe der Unterkunft perfekt - es gibt ein großes Doppelbett und laut Inserat könnte im Küchen-/Wohnbereich auch eine Person schlafen. In der Realität würden wir das nicht empfehlen, da es sich um eine gemauerte Bank handelt, auf der sich nur SitzIflaugen befinden. Uns wäre das zu unbequem gewesen. Die Ausstattung des Apartments ist top - alles vorhanden, was man braucht und die Einrichtung ist liebevoll gestaltet worden.Nicht ganz so optimal ist die Lage des Badezimmers - es ist im Schlafbereich hinter einer Glastüre ohne Lüftung und ohne Fenster. Und vielleicht auch wichtig zu wissen, wenn man mit Kleinkind reist - der Außenbereich ist nicht komplett eingezäunt und es führen Stufen zum Parkplatz hinunter, der wiederum direkt am Hang liegt. Mit unserem fast 4-Jährigen war es kein Problem, aber ich hätte mich ein wenig wohler gefühlt, wenn alles eingezäunt gewesen wäre. Alles in allem war es jedoch ein wunderschöner Aufenthalt, die Gastgeber waren sehr freundlich und bemüht, uns einen schönen Urlaub zu bereiten.

Unterkunft mit atemberaubender Aussicht

Wir hatten einen wunderschönen Urlaub in dieser Unterkunft. Sie ist super ausgestattet und sehr gemütlich eingerichtet. Von der Terasse aus hat man einen sehr schönen weiten Blick und man kann sogar das Meer sehen. Wir können die Unterkunft aufjedenfall weiterempfehlen!

Highlight: Pool und Aussicht

Wir waren 10 Tage in der hübschen Wohnung in Kalimari und haben die Zeit sehr genossen. Die Aussicht ist unvergleichlich, die Wohnung sehr sauber und liebevoll eingerichtet und der Pool und die Klimaanlage machen den Aufenthalt auch bei 36 Grad perfekt. Bei Fragen hatten wir jederzeit einen Ansprechpartner, der uns weitergeholfen hat. Das Örtchen bietet schöne Tavernen (Kelari, Akropolis, Loggia ...) und einen kleinen Supermarkt. Viele Deutsche sind hier zu Gast. Der Pool und der Außenbereich sind perfekt. Durch den Schirm und die teilweise Überdachung gibt es immer irgendwo ein Schattenplätzchen, um sich auszuruhen, was sehr schön war. Auch die Wohnung ist toll, es ist wirklich alles vorhanden, was man braucht! Einzig das Bett ist sehr hart und wir wurden leider fast jede Nacht im Schlafzimmer extrem von Insektenstichen geplagt. Wir hoffen, dass gegen diese Insekten dauerhaft etwas unternommen werden kann. Ansonsten eine absolute Empfehlung!

Genoten van een fantastisch verblijf

We hebben genoten van het prachtig ingerichte appartement dat alles had wat we nodig hadden. We hebben vanuit hier veel leuke plaatsjes en strandjes ontdekt, in heerlijke restaurantjes gegeten en genoten van de omgeving.

Toffe accommodatie op een heuvel. In de namiddag is voldoende schaduw en een windje die de warme temperaturen dragelijk maken. Het huisje is voorzien van alle comfort en benodigdheden. Goed werke airco en het privézwembad is heerlijk. Zeker een aanrader!

Wir hatten wunderschöne Tage in diesem süßen kleinen Appartement. An Ausstattung ist alles vorhanden, was man braucht. Der zauberhafte Blick vom Berg auf den Ort, das Tal und die Berge ist außergewöhnlich. Der Gästeservice freundlich und prompt. Wir kommen gerne wieder!

Excellent séjour !

Nous avons passé d’excellentes vacances , reposantes et ressourçantes . La maison bleue en haut de la colline est très agréable, décorée avec goût et authenticité, il ne manque rien … c’est agréable d’être en vacances et de se sentir chez soi !! Et quelle vue magnifique à 360 degrés . Mille merci à vous Christine et François pour votre hospitalité et votre extrême gentillesse, pour ce bon moment de convivialité que nous avons fortement apprécié et que nous ne sommes pas prêts d’oublier. Tout cela nous donne envie de revenir . Sans oublier Marcin, toujours disponible pour l’intendance au quotidien.

Sweetest Mountain Stay

We stayed in October and it was just hot enough to enjoy the pool and lying about in the crisp but warm mountain air. Property is sweet and check in caring. Space feels like a home rather than business, with generous touches of cheese and tomatoes to welcome us. Kitchen well stocked for cooking. Bed was a little hard after 4 nights. But all round we LOVED this place.

Chaleureux appartement perché sur une colline

Nous sommes arrivés un mardi soir vers 22:00. Malgré l’heure, nous avons été très bien accueilli par Marcin. De manière générale, l’appartement (décoré avec beaucoup de goût) était propre, la piscine aussi. La vue…… une des plus belles vue que j’ai pu observer dans ma vie. Franchement magique. Les seuls points négatifs seraient pour moi l’accès en voiture (bon on avait une Fiat 500… ça n’aide pas non plus) ainsi que les aoûtats qui ont eu notre peau. Mais mise à part ça, c’était un merveilleux séjour, très bien situé, à seulement quelques minutes de différentes plages et randonnées. Encore un énorme merci!!

Séjour magnifique, appartement au top et hôtes super accueillants.

L'appartement de François et Christine est idéalement situé, a proximité des plages, de Matala, de sites archéologiques, des tavernes et des commerces. Niché en haut d'une colline, la vue y est à couper le souffle. Vous pourrez apprécier le lever et le coucher du soleil, les montagnes au loin ainsi que la plaine dominée par des champs d'oliviers. C'est un endroit qui invite à la contemplation, idéal pour se ressourcer. L'appartement est très bien équipé, très fonctionnel et magnifiquement décoré. La piscine privative est vraiment très appréciable pour se détendre et se rafraîchir. Vous apprécierez sans aucun doute les terrasses privatives, elles aussi, pour prendre un verre ou dîner. François et Christine nous ont chaleureusement accueilli et sont aux petits soins pour que votre séjour soit agréable. N'hésitez pas à leur demander les bonnes adresses, ils vous les communiqueront avec plaisir. François, Christine, nous vous remercions pour votre accueil très chaleureux, pour le très bon vin laissé au frais et qui nous a fait bien plaisir à notre arrivée et pour le séjour très agréable que nous avons passé dans votre appartement.
