Delightful, nicely furnished 3-bedroom, 2-bath single family rancher in the quiet neighborhood of Candlelight Acres in Bethany Beach. Approximately five blocks to the beach and the Atlantic Ocean! Features private back deck with barbeque grill, flat-screen TV, Wifi. and upgraded bedding. Central air conditioning, well-equipped kitchen, washer, dryer and more.2 TVs (all flat-screens), 2 DVDs, iPod docking station, board games, books, outside shower, gas grill, Wifi.

Things to know
Delaware regulations require all guests sign a lease agreement within 10 days of booking. A lease agreement will be sent within 24 hours of booking and an electronic signature is required before final check-in information is made available.

We enjoyed the house. It had a nice layout.However, it needed some maintenance. All of the beds were uncomfortable, the amenities in the shower were emply or broken, toilets are low to the ground and seats not properly attached, the glass on the deck table was broken but not replaced, the hand sprayer in the outdoor shower was broken off, coffee maker needs repacing. Vacasa's responce to our calls were slow or nonexistent. Despite all that we had a nice time at the beach.

Perfect location, not so clean

Really can’t beat the location. It’s such a quiet neighborhood an easy 15 minute walk from the boardwalk at a reasonable price. As for the house, as other reviewers have noted, it is not the cleanest, really gross carpets with bits of food and lotttts of dust. Cleanest room in the house was the laundry room…

If you’re looking for a fully functional home near the beach keep looking. On the surface this house was cute. A deep dive showed management and upkeep issues. Had to fight with rude Vacasa reps for beach parking passes. Finally was told to buy them ourselves (120.00) and propane for the grill (25.00) and we’d be reimbursed. Still waiting on my money. * If the owner is seeing this, if you haven’t checked in on the house recently you probably should. It’s cute but wear and tear are showing.

We enjoyed our time there. We wished we had booked a longer trip.

We all thought the house was very nice. It could have been cleaner. The bathrooms need an upgrade. Security bars need to put in place and your toilets need to improved. They are not made for older adults or handicapped adults. The tobs could use some mats or resurfaced so they are not slippery.

Inadequate kitchen supplies for basic cooking and the teflon pans were scratched and unusable, no cookie sheet or even a whisk. Patio furniture was disgusting and unusable. As for the cleanliness, there was at least 12 disgusting pillows in the hot mess dirty laundry room that should have been thrown out. The floors were that dirty that they turned your feet black. Zero toilet paper or trash bags. No curtains on the patio doors and I had to put a towel on the Master bathroom window. We have rented homes for 20 years and this was worst. The table outside was a frame without a top, the weeds were that bad that you couldn't use the outside shower.

Home was great! But cleanliness and management not so much

The home was beautiful plenty of parking and quiet. However whoever cleans and manages the property between guest needs major work. Was a lot of areas still dirty not touched and unsanitary. Reached out first day arrived about their not being a park pass like said is included and all I got was they put a ticket in for it and someone would be coming by never heard back and never got a parking pass. It’s a shame because the house is great but whoever manages it needs to make a lot of improvements.

Relax at Candlelight Acres

We liked this home a lot. The best part was that it had clean bedding and towels plus a lot of every day essential like dishwashing liquid. The house is comfortable and nicely furnished. It lacks a screened porch, but it has a nice deck. I would recommend getting a shelving unit or cupboard to put to the left of the fridge for the guests’ food. I would also replace the useless wicker “chairs” with normal chairs. I would definitely go back.

Great location, needs better cleaning and kitchen re-stocked

Overall this location was great for a short walk to the beach but the cleaning was lackluster and the kitchen needed to be restocked with normal cooking items and utensils. The floor didn't was dirty and the vacuum really didn't work, there were ping pong balls under couches and socks under beds, etc. We did contact Vacasa and to their credit they offered $100 but I would suggest the owner consider new management/cleaning or else this would have been at least 4 stars! Overall spacious inside, full size washer and dryer was nice. The gas grill was a nice bonus.

Cozy Cottage

The house is located in a quiet area with very nice neighbors. It is only a few blocks to the main road. It has a nice shaded deck on the back for privacy

Meh or you get what you pay for

The house was cute with nice bathrooms, good mattresses, a big kitchen table and a great deck. But the appliances were pretty old and the cookware and tools just ok...not even a rubber spatula to flip an egg! Close enough to the beach though and with our parking pass we did not have a problem accessing the beach. It was moderately priced for a reason. A few updates would go a long way to making this a cozy vacation house. Also house was NOT clean when we checked in but the property manager sent the housekeeping folks over and they cleaned for an hour and a half while we sat on the deck. It was sparkling when they left.

Great location in quiet neighborhood

Spacious inside and deck and off-street parking. BUT---doormat was moldy, can opener had obviously not been cleaned in months (we threw it away and left a new one), deck and outside shower had not been cleaned before us, fridge was small and scratched up, and the one it replaced was left on front lawn for entire 2 weeks that we rented the place.

Location was great. Local to everything in Bethany Beach, beautiful neighborhood.

The house we rented was not cleaned to satisfactory condition. The couches had white smears of something all over them, I used our own blankets to sit on couches, laundry room was a mess, sand and torn cushions where left in room not even cleaned. None of the rooms had fresh comforters. You could tell the comforters had not been washed in-between families. I opted for my own linen so I removed the top comforters and sham pillows and used our own blankets. Thank god I brought 4 large comfy blankets. The landscaping in the front of the house was un kept and an eye sore in comparison to other properties.... The houses that circled us look so well kept compared to ours. The final straw was after I cooked breakfast the dishes where piled on the counter waiting to be loaded into dishwasher, I ran to the bathroom came back about 10-15 minutes and there where these small black flea like bugs all over the counter and our plates. That was absolutely disgusting. We had black little bugs that where all over the house. Me and my older girls woke up with them on us . The location and neighborhood was great, but I would not rent this house again and not sure why the cleanliness of this house wasn't checked better, when we arrived the Housecleaning Manager was there but apparently he didn't check the house even though he came walking out of it while we were pulling in the driveway????? I took pictures of the plates that had these tiny flea like bugs all over them.

Very nice home and location is great

We were very please with the home and the location was perfect. It would have been nice if the grass had been mowed and the outdoor shower needs some work but we had a very nice time.
