Had several areas that were updated in the living and kitchen areas. Furniture was nice looking and fit a beach theme. Also, enjoyed both Xfinity and streaming services. Definitely will be back.

We Love Sea Colony, but….

Sea Colony is an incredible vacation spot for families. We love it there and will continue to come back. There are so many great things to do and the town of Bethany is just right. This particular unit had many problems and it was in need of some repairs that made our stay a bit less relaxing than we would have liked. If there was on site maintenance crew that simply went through each unit after they were rented, they would have easily caught the issues and could have fixed them before the next guest. Relying on customer feedback to inform the needed fixes is only one part of the solution. There needs to be more property management oversight. Hope this helps make a great place better!

Decorations are not everything!

My family and I have been going to see calling me for over 10 years and this is the first time where we have stayed at a place that was so disappointing. We walked into two bathroom doors broken, a closet door in the master bedroom on its hinges, the dryer never worked so I couldn’t use the washing machine. We also had an ant infestation. I don’t think Vacasa felt that any of these issues were of grave importance so the response to repair was poor. I give Bethany Beach rave reviews but this condo needs some TLC.

Old, dirty, not maintained and ant infested

The first thing we noticed upon arriving was that there was an ant infestation. They were all over the countertops, inside the drawers and cabinets and on the floors. We couldn't use any of the kitchen items because of this and had to store any dry food items in bags on the dining room table. We called pest control but even after treatment the ants were an issue the entirety of our stay. We also noticed that the unit was very dirty. I had to clean the master en suite shower and the tub/shower before using. There were pillowcases and towels that were also stained. The kitchen sinks had disgusting build up along the rim and the drains, and the right side of the sink wasn't able to be used because it was clogged and immediately filling up with water. The garbage disposal also wasn't working, even after trying to reset it. There were food crumbs and other food pieces all over the counters, floors, near the bottoms of the cabinets and all in the garbage can and surrounding areas. Our son dropped a toy car and when we went to get it, we noticed that under the pull out sofa there was so much dirt, dust, food crumbs, goldfish crackers, etc. It very obviously had never been cleaned underneath. It was likely the source of the ant infestation and was just absolutely disgusting. Other issues included; -Exhaust fan in master en-suite does not work -Master bed headboard was broken and leaning, bangs into wall -Master bedroom TV volume doesn’t work using the remote and the buttons don’t work on the TV either -Master shower head sprays the wall instead of you and is not able to be adjusted -Master bathroom shower drain pipe is too long and sticks out, not allowing dirt and sand to go down the drain and pools up in shower -Bathroom floors are soft obviously from some kind of water damage and the floors throughout the unit slope in certain areas and feel like they’re caving in. -2nd bedroom closet is broken The thing that was most upsetting is that upon reading the guest book, it’s apparent that most of these issues have been existing for quite some time with no resolve. We are very disappointed and bothered with the issues we had during our stay and unfortunately would not recommend this unit to others.

Nice unit.

The layout was what we were looking for. Place was clean and furnishings comfortable. Only negative comment would be the very small MBR bathroom. Hard to move my arms in the shower! However, that was not a deal breaker for us and would definitely stay again.

Loved this unit

This is our 3rd year in Sea Colony, and we’ve stayed on Round Robin each time. This was our favorite unit by far. The home was decorated in a warm and homey way and the outdoor space was great. We would happily rent the unit again.

Very nice condo

This condo was clean, nicely decorated and recently updated. Short 10 minute walk to the beach. We really appreciated the use of the beach chairs and beach cart. The back patio is spacious with plenty of comfortable seating. It was nice relaxing in the morning or after a day at the beach. Also, there were plenty of dishes, cookware for cooking in. There were also numerous games and books to use. The only suggestion I would have is a larger hot water tank. Ran out of hot water very quickly.

Cute little house

Cute house, seemed updated. But... the bathrooms were def not cleaned. There was hair and shampoo in the shower and the sinks were dirty. ☹️ Had to clean them myself. Everything else was good though.
