Cindy was truly the best host! From the moment we arrived, everything we needed was right at our fingertips—she thought of every essential. The place was incredibly cozy, and waking up to the breathtaking lake view each morning was unforgettable. The unique map features and fun trivia games were such a cool and thoughtful touch. Since we stayed during the holidays, the Christmas decorations made it feel extra special and welcoming. The bonus of being able to use the kayaks was the cherry on top!Honestly, there is nothing that could be added to make this experience more perfect. I would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend Cindy’s place to anyone looking for a peaceful, memorable getaway.
My daughter and I had an extended stay in Florida for training and our stay at the Cottage was perfect. This property is very well maintained and stocked. Cindy and her husband graciously came to our rescue when we couldn’t figure out the TV and the Super Bowl was about to begin. The proximity to the lake provided a serene atmosphere that helped to make our work trip relaxing.
We booked the cottage but they had problems with it an infestation of ants…we were contacted as we landed in Orlando and on our way to the VRBO. Cindy had us stay in the “Breezway” which was is a unit they just finished. It was great. The place is in a nice, quiet, safe neighborhood. We were in town for a weeding and it was 5 minutes from the place. Cindy was a very gracious host and we enjoyed our stay.

Joe, Thank you for your kind words! We enjoyed hosting you and are thankful our other space, The Suite at Lake Mary was available to move you to.
Just a clarification on the phrase “ant infestation”. Living in Florida, ants and other bugs definitely come with the territory. We did have a temporary battle with carpenter ants, but have conquered the little invaders and are back in business- ANT FREE!
The property owner, Cindy, was easy to communicate with. She stays out of the way but you can easily get ahold of her if needed because she lives in a house on the property.
The cottage has everything you need: a full kitchen with stove and microwave, utensils, toaster, coffee maker, glasses, etc., towels, cable TV, and a separate bedroom, with a futon in the living room if needed, and a washer and dryer. The cottage sits well back from the street in front so it's quiet. A lake right in the backyard. Very nice neighborhood.
Parking is no problem right in front of the cottage. Tons of restaurants nearby if you have a car. In the recent past, I stayed in another rental about 3 properties away from this rental. I would easily recommend that one and The Cozy Cottage. The Cozy Cottage is best recommended for a single traveler or a couple.....PK
Cindy and Steve anticipate everything a guest may need and have it in place before checkin.
During an extended power outage following Hurricane Ian they provided a grill, a camp stove, and access to their generator.
They are long-time area residents and have a wealth of information about restaurants, shops, and activities.
Highly recommended!
Fully furnished and very comfortable cottage with accommodating and sweet hosts! Lake Mary is a lovely town and is near to many places to visit. You are right on little Lake Mary with kayaks and canoe available to use. We would definitely come back!
This was our first time renting someone’s personal place on VRBO and it was exactly as shown and more. We didn’t forget items but if you do they got you covered which is very important as you travel and might come in at night after stores maybe closed! Traveling in from Illinois and staying at additional places we also enjoyed the washer and dryer!
We came in to see the Daytona 500 and ended up going to the Kennedy Space Station and seeing a rocket launch from the yard after Cindy directed us where to stand and watch! That was most impressive!
My husband and I stayed in this lake cottage for just two nights on our way home from southern FL. We wanted something relaxing for the end of our trip and this was perfect! Everything was clean, well organized, and well labeled. Super helpful (and cute!) signs around the house to help you feel at home! The highlight of the trip was when we took the provided canoe on a ride around the lake and just enjoyed the beautiful weather. Such a great place to stay!
Clean, quiet and very nice cottage, would highly recommend. We stayed for 10 days this place is close to attractions, restaurants, but on a small quiet lake just what we needed for a getaway!!
Thank you so much for having a great spot for a restful weekend! It was perfect had all the things we needed to cook a little bit too. And the lake was a great view to eat breakfast each morning. Thank you!
After A minor maintenance problem, the owners who lived in the main house on the property moved me to another cottage that they just had completed for rental. It was brand new, I was the first renter. They refunded my money for my first night, and my next two nights were excellent. New cottage was nicer than any hotel that you would stay.Owners were great and I would give it A five star
I was here to visit family in the area and found this hidden gem! It has everything you could think of and more. The cottage is very clean, roomy and has a view of a lake. It was well stocked with paper products, sewing supplies, shampoo and personal items, towels, fully stocked kitchen and I can go on and on! I will definitley be returning!!
The cottage is centrally located, and had everything we needed. It was a comfy retreat and homey space to return to, as we packed up our recently sold house in Sanford.
My husband and his father went here for a fishing trip. They really enjoyed their time. They said the owners were very friendly when they did meet them. They had everything they needed there for them. Overall it was a great relaxing time on a beautiful lake.
Beautiful place, close to everything and was serene waking up and having coffee by the lake. Home was very clean and had so many things all we had to bring was food…would book again!
Stayed here three nights on a recent business trip. The little cottage offered everything I needed. We had a huge storm the first night, knocking out the wifi, and the hosts worked diligently to restore it for my work. I would stay here again anytime, and bring my partner along to enjoy the lakeside.
This little cottage is clean, well furnished and very comfortable. The hosts are welcoming and responded to our every need. Our family, especially our visiting 6 and 8 year old granddaughters, loved the little beach area and eating on the picnic table. We enjoyed watching the birds while drinking coffee by the lake and I even learned how to kayak. We highly recommend staying here.
