Amazing stay

The location is incredible: right in the heart of Waikiki, with many restaurants, shops, and beaches within a few minutes walk. Bobber was incredibly responsive and helpful! The condo was the perfect size for 2 people with plenty of space for our luggage and clothing. We would definitely consider booking this space the next time we visit!

Very clean room with A/C and a full kitchen. Not hard to find or check in. Beautiful place close to Waikiki beach. Prop. Manger is very to talk to and very understanding and keeps in contact with you as well as answers the phone when you need him.

Great location

The location is great: within walking distance to Waikiki and many great restaurants and shops in the area. The free parking is a great value and convenience. Bobber is also great to work with. He responded quickly and resolved the one issue that we had (some laundry issue on the extra bedsheet). He also accommodated our request for an extra blanket quickly. The instructions for getting into the parking lot is a bit lacking but we managed to figure it out eventually. The building attendant was a bit grouchy though with us having to ask questions but he did help clarify things a bit in the end. I would consider renting this apartment again in the future.

Clean, comfortable bed, refurbished kitchen and shower and all you need to have an amazing holiday.This condo has the best location - walk around the corner and catch a bus anywhere over the whole island. Beach is only two minutes stroll to the first wave on Waikiki beach. You reading this review book it now! You will only be sad to leave. When we first showed up at the apartment in the Marine Surf building we were very impressed with the style and cleanliness. The location was also very desirable. We moved all of our things in (we had a lot of luggage since we had been in Hawaii for six months) and went to the beach. Upon arrival to the apartment that evening I used the bathroom, while in the bathroom I saw a roach crawling on my shampoo bottle. I thought nothing of it because everyone told us how common roaches are in Hawaii because of the climate. I went into the kitchen and pulled out the drawer to get a fork... there were at least eight roaches crawling all over the silverware. Then I knew this was a problem. My boyfriend called Bobber and asked him to send someone over to take care of the problem. He was not in town (not sure if he even lives in the area) and said someone would be over the next day. My boyfriends father was in from New York to visit and came over with traps and spray to try and help curtail the issue. He found a hole behind the fridge where swarms of roaches were coming into the unit. This had obviously been an ongoing problem as there were even eggs and babies in the kitchen drawers. We couldn't even stay in the apartment that night out of disgust and smell from the massive amounts of spray we had to apply. The next day the cleaning woman apparently came over to assess the situation. She had said that she barely saw any and insinuated that we brought the roaches from our last apartment. While our last apartment may not have been as expensive or nice looking we did not see ONE roach because the owner took the correct preventative measures. At this point we felt exasperated. We did not want to stay at a place with such an infestation and Bobber basically told us to pack our bags and get out. That time of year it is hard to find a place to stay in Waikiki and thus we wasted more money on hotels and changing our flights to leave Honolulu early. Not only did we spend money on those things, Bobber never answered any of our following phone calls (we each left at LEAST four voice mails). We are college students and were taken advantage of in this situation. It has been almost a month and neither of us have heard from Bobber or received any of our significant deposit back. I would not want someone else to fall for this scam or be taken advantage of in the way we were. I don't know what kind of person takes money from two college students...

Great stay

We had a great 2 week stay in Bobber's studio! It was admittedly a bit tight for 2 adults plus a toddler but not too big a deal since we were in the heart of Waikiki with lots to do just steps away. We've stayed at various Marine Surf Waikiki studios and find that they've got the best combination of space, amenities, location, and price. Not to mention it's pretty unheard of for a Waikiki property to have a parking space included at no extra cost! It's quite noisy, but we knew that would be the case going in given its location.

This condo was fabulous! It is a convenient location and close to shopping, restaurants, and Waikiki Beach. It was spacious and perfect for my husband and I but could definitely work for a smaller family as well due to the additional couch available. There were plenty of towels for use in the condo and extras to take to the beach. Kitchen was stocked with plenty of dishes and small electronics if you want to enjoy cooking in the unit. The building security was very nice (have to use fob to access the main door after hours and use elevator during all times). Bobber was VERY accommodating and answered all of my questions in a timely manner before our stay. We were especially grateful because he let us have a late checkout which just shows you how great an owner he is. Would definitely recommend this place to anyone!

Good Condo at Marine Surf Waikiki

The condo was centrally located, had good amenities, was clean and quiet, and had mostly modern updates. "Pat" the evening building security guard was very friendly and helpful when we arrived. The bed was comfortable and the lanai offered a good view. I used the beach umbrella and a couple of the beach towels on Waikiki beach. The swimming pool one floor below on the roof was relaxing and somewhat private. During our 4 night stay, one of the two building elevators was shut down which caused some lengthy waits when times were busy (no fault of the owner). The air conditioner worked well but we had to prop a chair against the drapes to close a gap to prevent the morning sun from coming in. A two inch horizontal extension on the end of one drape would fix the latter issue. An extra electrical extension cord on the window side of the bed would have been helpful for charging my wife's cell phone. The bathroom didn't have an exhaust fan which resulted in high moisture when taking a shower. The owner might consider having one installed. All things considered, a good property.

Great place, great location, would reccomend

Short and simple, this is a newly remodeled fifth floor condo right across the street from the Trade Center and half a block from the center of Kalakau (sp?) Ave. so a few blocks from the beach. Close to everything, parking included which was great for our rental car, laundry right outside door of unit if needed. Others mentioned noise but I had no problem with noise for 9 nights other than a police siren or two for a split second as they zoomed by which probably bothered every building. We didn't use the pool but there is one. We walked to most of the restaurants and shops as this is, like I said, in the heart of everything. Owner is really great. I would definitely stay there again.

Fantastic accommodations in the heart of Waikiki

I stayed in this location in order to attend a conference and I was thoroughly impressed by the studio. Impeccable, clean, excellent security. Steps away from Starbucks and the International market (and lots of other shopping) and a 10 min walk to Waikiki beach. I would absolutely stay in this location again. HIGHLY recommended!
