This place is very peaceful, clean, and very roomy! It was so much space for the kids and our family for our daughter’s 8th birthday!! The kids loved the space and the deck. The beds were very comfy with memory foam beds! The pictures on the site do not do it justice. We LOVED our stay!!
I was concerned about reviews from the previous months and mentioned it. I got the reassurance I needed from the host and my stay was great. This was the halfway point to meet up with family for Christmas. There was plenty of room and although we were in a neighborhood the trees encircling the property made us feel like we were in a cabin in the woods. It was clean and the property manager even called to make sure everything was in order.
We loved staying here. Location was great. House fully equipped for a family vacation. We read so many of the books and did the puzzles and had an amazing family time. I loved how they made sure to stack the bathroom with all shampoo, conditioner, body wash. Ryan the host was great. He got back to me immediately
The house is set in a wooded area, which was easy to find using navigation. Very nice main family room. Did have some bug issues that the owner said he is taking care of but must still be in process. It was a little further from Tuscaloosa than we expected (30 mins to Bryant Denny vs 22 shown in listed.
This property was the perfect size and location for our family of four, traveling with our dog. Upon arrival, we did have some concerns over the condition that the previous guests had left the property, but our host was incredibly responsive. He offered to send over the cleaning crew and even sent some new cookware via Instacart. We really appreciated the excellent customer service.

Liked: Location
Disliked: Cleanliness, listing accuracy
The rental property wasn’t cleaned from the prior guests. There were ladybugs everywhere in the upstairs bedrooms and a dead cockroach right inside the front door
This property is in a very quiet location, did not here any traffic or neighbors. My family and I were in for an unexpected death in the family and it was the perfect spot to have for privacy.
We enjoyed our stay as we attended activities at U of Alabama. It was a convenient location, about 20 minutes away from the university. The neighborhood is very quiet, and the property was spacious and clean. Thanks so much!
The property was as described. Ryan was wonderful to work with. Check in process was simple with no problems. House has plenty of room for large family. Internet and tv services were amazing. House is on a hill so may be a little challenging for someone with a disability if you wanted to walk in yard but otherwise it was wonderful.
Avoid! I was skeptical after reading the reviews and I wish I would have followed them. We arrived to the property and it had an overwhelming number of dead bugs everywhere (like, hundreds!) including on the beds and in the bedding. The bathrooms were not clean - including stains in the toilet and hair in the shower. The bunk bed seems like it's missing some bolts and was unsafe for my children. The pictures are not accurate either. That pretty serene deck? It is actually 3 broken down chairs and the view is basically trash all over the forest and underneath the house. After traveling all day with two children, this is a completely unacceptable condition to walk into. We messaged the host letting him know that we were dissatisfied and he never responded. We ended leaving and found a hotel. After 3 hours on the phone with VRBO and pictures of the place, we were able to come to a resolution. Awful experience!
Horrible experience and place is not clean. The pictures don’t resemble the actual place in terms of cleanliness. Moldy furniture outside, garbage under the balcony, roaches, busted energy drink in the freezer. When we got there the place had not been cleaned since the prior rental. Dirty towels and sheets on the kitchen floor and bathrooms. Beds not made. Washer and dryer don’t operate correctly. Cleaning crew wasn’t done cleaning until 10pm the second night. I do not recommend staying here.
The property was in a good location, and was large enough. There was a major rodent (rat) problem. I contacted the owner on Friday night and he said a pest control company was coming out Saturday and they didn't come.. Saturday morning and Sunday morning the rodents had ate all the food on the counter and then left droppings all over the house.. I won't be there again..
This is a really beautiful home. The beds were very comfortable. There were puzzles to play with (but the one we put together was missing about 30 pieces). The cabinets were stocked with some extras. There were soaps and shampoos. The owner was extremely helpful and responsive. There were a few negatives though that need to be addressed. We saw several signs of rat droppings around the house. There was some trash in the carpet in the bedroom upstairs that was not vacuumed up. There was what appeared to be pet hair in a dish in the cabinet and some on the dining room table. There was something splattered on the walls in between the kitchen and living room. There was also something splattered on the blinds going up the stairs. The towels and washcloths on the shelves above the washer and dryer were still wet so we weren't sure if they were still wet from not being washed or if they had been washed and not dried. I recommend this property if the above is addressed.
Easy booking, good communication with host, very clean and neat property. House is exactly as it appears online. The neighborhood is very quiet. We were in town for a Bama home football game, quick 25 min drive to stadium. Would definitely stay here again. Highly recommend.
This home is in a nice neighborhood and it is very relaxing. The road the home is located on is a dead end street so there is very little traffic that travels by this property unless they are local residents. I never heard any outside noise and I felt comfortable and secure enough that I would have stayed here alone. The house was clean and nicely decorated. It was pet friendly which is a huge deal for our family. It’s very spacious with plenty of room for extended family. The house has a nice large deck for outside entertaining. There isn’t a lot more that I can say about the home that the ad doesn’t cover so the next time you have to travel to Tuscaloosa or the surrounding area, get away from the busy streets and check this place out.
We really enjoyed our stay. Kitchen had everything we needed and house has a lot of room. Neighborhood is very nice and quiet. Just a short drive from Tuscaloosa but there are stores in the area for groceries, etc. Definitely recommend.
Spacious home. Plenty of room to sprawl out and enjoy TV and putting together the puzzle in tge dining area. Piggly Wigggly and plenty of convenience stores nearby so you aren’t constantly running into Tuscaloosa. The gas stations have propane tanks for tge grill so don’t go clear to Tusca if gas needed for tge grill. House was clean and spacious with comfy beds.
