About this property
Family friendly lake front retreat with easy access to skiing and snowmobiling
Enjoy open concept living: kitchen & living room on main floor are one large space with a wood-buring fireplace and spectacular views across lake. Main floor has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. The master bedroom suite has a queen bed and a 3/4 bath with steam shower. The second bedroom has a full sized lower bunk with upper single plus a crib. The third bedroom has two twin beds. These two bedrooms share a full bath. There is a wrap-around deck with lounge chairs and umbrellas for sun-bathing and a screened porch with dining set on this main level all overlooking the lake.
Lower level daylight walkout features large sliding glass doors that let the sunlight pour in while permitting great views of lake. There is an entertainment area with a full sized sectional couch that affords comfortable viewing of a 55 inch panasonic plasma with surround sound and blu-ray player. There is a second large fridge and wet-bar area on this lower level. There are both a bunk-room (sleeps 3 plus extra mattress) and another bedroom (queen bed) and a full bath/laundry room on this lower level. Walking out the sliders of the lower level leads to a ground-level deck with sitting area and a 6-person hot tub.

About the host
Hosted by Kenneth Buttermore
We live in Portsmouth and have known the prior owners for 10 years as former neighbors. We have two young children and enjoy our adventures to Hattie Pike!
Why they chose this property
This property offers a tranquil and quiet retreat from life's stressors. No road noise can be heard from the water's edge and no paved roads can be seen from any vantage point when boating.....yet a short 5 min (2 mile) drive to Fryburg provides most services. The large size of the lake makes for great boating and watersports. The lack of boat traffic, even on holiday weekends, is striking. The views of the surrounding mountains, including snow-capped Mount Washington from November-April, strikes a chord with most visitors. The 2/10 of a mile unpaved camp access road (Hattie Pike road) reminds one they are entering a wilderness setting. The gentle slope of the wide-open front yard is ideal…it is flat enough to allow for games of croquet and frisbee in warmer months while transforming to a sledding hill in the winter months. The frozen lake is populated with many ice-fishing huts from Jan-March and serves to connect the many snowmobile trails on either side of the lake.
