We had a lovely stay at Le Chant des Ablettes near Albi. The house is very peaceful, spotlessly clean, and full of thoughtful touches that made our stay feel special. It’s also just a quick drive from the city. The hosts were welcoming and helpful, and the terrace by the water was a highlight: quiet mornings on the terrace, lovely views, and a sense of calm that made it easy to unwind. A perfect spot to enjoy the Tarn region and it’s beautiful towns and villages, we’d happily return.

Tranquil

Beautiful riverfront location. Well furnished and equipped with everything needed for a self sufficient holiday. Very peaceful surroundings on the edge of a small village. Picturesque and relaxing.

A real gem, the photos don't do it justice, it has far more space.Catherine contacted us and arranged to meet at the house and show us round.The location on the river bank is perfect. The house is down steps from the private covered off road parking.As well as the table, chairs, loungers and swinging hammock by the river there is another whole area with table, chairs and barbecue on the other side of the house. So there is always a great place to sit outside.The description says "Air-conditioned" and I was a little disappointed that this was just one big unit at the top of the stairs. However, I didn't realise how well built the house is for its location, with very thick walls and maximum use of natural shade. We had several days over 34C and never even thought of needing air conditioning, the house just stayed at a comfortable temperature.All the rooms are large and high ceilinged, the beds are comfortable and there was all the equipment we could want.In fairness I must mention the one drawback, from 1700 or 1800 the mosquitoes or other tiny biting insects mean you must wear repellent or stay indoors. This will be the same beside any river, but take precautions.We had a wonderful peaceful relaxing holiday. Thank you.

Nice and clean

Nice and clean house. Nice spot at the Tarn. A lot of birds. You can fish, canoe or row. Owners are very kind. Surroundings good for cycling (race). We did visit Albi which is a very interesting and cosy city. Also Cordes is a must go (steep streets).

An exceptional gite, with kind and helpful owners.

This is a stunning property with everything you need for an enjoyable stay. The reality is even more impressive than the photos! Marssac sur Tarn is only a short walk away with three small supermarkets, a bar-restuarant, an excellent butcher, bakeries, and a wine merchant among others. So, if you're looking for a quiet retreat in a welcoming small town, you don't actually need to venture very far at all. The owners were also extremely helpful and friendly. We forgot to bring bed linen but they were able to provide this. They even gave us a lift from the train station on arrival! The gite and owners were both perfect. I would suggest though that the 500 euro damage deposit payable on arrival is made clearer in the advert. Whilst this is a commonplace practice in France, it may not be expected by overseas visitors. It didn't present an issue for us and was refunded very promptly at the end of our stay, but it could present an issue for someone who is not expecting it and doesn't have banking on their smartphone for instance.

Una preciosidad de Casa y su posicion en frente al Rio espectacular.A la casa no le falta nada tiene acesorios de cocina y todo muy limpio.No se puede pedir mas, el sitio tranquilo para disfrutar de Paz y a 15min de Albi para visitar el Museo y la catedral .Hemos estado muy que muy bien.Gracias u hasta pronto espero

La maison au bord de l’eau, est tres agréable, tres bien équipée, avec une vue sur le Tarn reposante , d’on ne se lasse pas. Elle est toujours fraîche, même avec le temps très chaud que nous venons d’avoir. Les chambres a l’etage , sont climatisées . On peut y pêcher depuis l’embarquadere , partir pour une balade en canoë ou barque disponibles avec les brassières de sécurité. Tres bien située pour accéder au centre commercial d'Albi à 10min.Nous remercions Catherine et Franc pour leur accueil, nous avons passé un excellent séjour d’une semaine avec nos petits enfants.

Magnifique séjour au gîte, le chant des ablettes. Nous avons eu l'historique du lieu en photo et en parole de la part des propriétaires qui sont adorables. Le gîte est vraiment au bord du Tarn, idéal pour les pêcheurs et les rêveurs.La terrasse, face au Tarn est idéale pour les longues soirées entre amis et aussi à faire des photos magnifiques de soleil couchant.Tout est fait pour pouvoir vivre un séjour inoubliable, les espaces sont grands et volumineux, ainsi que lumineux. Il ne manque rien pour préparer des bons repas.Nous reviendrons, assurément avec grand plaisir.

Cet hébergement est la copie conforme de l'annonce, et est véritablement une pépite. L'emplacement, le confort et le cachet certain de cette maison, au bord du tarn, en font indubitablement un "MUST" . la présence du Tarn , qui coule paisiblement, est véritablement apaisante, le paysage invite à la paresse et a la contemplation : seule déception pour nous, ne pas avoir pu sejourner une semaine de plus. Un grand merci aux charmants propriétaires qui nous ont accueilli dans ce lieu rare, et exceptionnel

Magnifique petit havre de tranquillité au bord du Tarn.Décoration intérieure soignée. Bien équipée pour cuisiner, plusieurs endroits pour manger à l’extérieur. Barque et canoë pour faire une balade bucolique sur l’eau. Tout est bien pensé pour un séjour optimum. Les propriétaires sont très sympathiques. Adresse à partager.

Belle vue

Quelle jolie maison et quelle vue sur le Tarn ! Quel calme aussi. Bien équipé, entre Albi et Gaillac, un abri pour la voiture, petits commerces à Marssac. Bref, un séjour très agréable et des hôtes accueillants.
