About this property

This house is a fully restored 18th century building, located in the town of Chassiers, a characterful village in South Ardèche in the Monts d'Ardèche Regional Park.
You will enjoy in absolute calm a panoramic view stretching as far as Mont Ventoux, whether from the terrace or from the swimming pool. The swimming pool is heated from week 20 to week 39 (*). A petanque court is at your disposal.
The property has a capacity of 7 people, ideally suited for 2 families in the same group. It is classified as 4* tourism furnished and fully air-conditioned. We offer you a stress-free arrival: prepared bedding, towels, hygiene products. Wifi and Netflix are available. End of stay cleaning is included. Dogs are welcome.
The house is located on the first foothills of the Cévennes, surrounded by vineyards, olive trees and chestnut trees. The town of Largentière is 10 minutes away by car with all its amenities (retail shops, supermarket, medical center, tourist office, Tuesday market, etc.). The property is not suitable for people with reduced mobility (stairs, height differences, parking at a distance from the house)
30 minutes away, the Ardèche gorges national reserve and the Caverne du Pont d'Arc (CHAUVET Cave - classified as a UNESCO heritage site)
You can also enjoy another house, "La Calade de Joux", with similar services with a large swimming pool and ventilated covered terrace, located 500m from "La Calade de Joux". This cottage is available on this platform.

Bestes Ferienhaus in traumhafter Umgebung

Das Ferienhaus ist rundum wunderbar. Es ist alles da, was man braucht und noch etwas mehr. Sie Küche ist sehr gut ausgestattet, die Betten sind bequem. Die Einrichtung ist sehr gut durchdacht und die Stimmung im gesamten Haus einfach schön. Der Pool hat eine tolle Größe und auch hier ist alles vorhanden, um ihn während des Aufenthaltes zu pflegen. Nach langen Wander- oder Mountainbike-Touren konnten wir uns im Pool abkühlen, dann etwas feines kochen, in den schönen Badezimmern mit großer Dusche frisch machen und abschließend entspannt einen Film auf Netflix schauen. Es ist ein gemütliches Zuhause, aus dem man nicht mehr weg will. Die Lage ist außergewöhnlich: man muss zwar erst ein gutes Stück über teils enge Straßen fahren, aber wenn man ankommt ist es soo ruhig, der Ausblick ist traumhaft und nachts konnten wir unzählige Sterne und sogar eine Sternschnuppe sehen. Die Kommunikation mit Philippe war außergewöhnlich gut. Er war immer ansprechbar und hat umgehend auf unsere Fragen geantwortet. Uns hat es so gut gefallen, dass wir unseren nächsten Urlaub bereits in diesem Haus geplant haben. 😀

Super séjour dans le calme

The cleanliness of the house is great! It's cosy and offers the possibility to spend a lot of quality time together, as find a personal spot for some alone time. Every garden and terrasse has a bench or a lounging area. The house comes equipped with herbs and kitchen supplies such as a mixer and a scale for baking. Also other appliences come in good quality and variety. The master bedroom has a newly renovated bathroom and its own garden and terrasse. The bed was very confortable! Philippe and his family are very accomodating and polite. They offer a bycicle renting service, but don't 'push' their services. They focus on the 'détente' of the customer and have a lot of respect for your privacy. There is the possibility for nature hikes starting from the house. Philippe offers an overview of these hikes (might change due to rural area and local maintenance works). The house has a lot of documentation on activities in the area. I recommend going horse riding Lauzieres. Chassiers (5km) has very little ammenities. Largentiere is the best, most close by town with shops, restaurants and bars. It's a 10 to 15 minute car drive down (and back up). The walk to Largentiere would take you longer then the google estimated 1h15 (we are not skilled hikers). Best to stop in Leclerq in Aubenas for big grocery shopping. The swimming pool is great and has wifi. It is on the street side, but okay because dead end street with only 4 quite inactive neighbors. We enjoyed it a lot! Def recommend!
