Property was welcoming for pets. Need to keep a good eye on a pet so it doesn't try to jump on furniture. All the furnishings and furniture including beds were attractive, clean, comfortable and good quality. On inspection of the various rooms there was heard a myriad of "Wows"!!We didn't use any outdoor furniture, but enjoyed lounging and enjoying a fire in one gathering room. The house was welcoming and well stocked with kitchen and bathroom supplies for our stay.
I was immediately impressed by the cleanliness of the home, but there were so many extra “little” (and not so little) things that make a guest feel welcome. Thank you for sharing this beautiful home!

Thank you so much for the kind review! You and your family were exemplary guests, and we look forward to your return! Be well! ❤️
What a wonderful place. Our stay was wonderful and the hosts could not have been more welcoming or helpful. We were kept stocked in wood for the fireplace as well as freshly cut Christmas tree replete with lights. The history of the house and the view of covered bridge across the road made it a quintessential Vermont stay.
The property was everything stated in the listing and more. It's an older house, but we were never cold and kept the thermostat at 65º the whole time. While we were there, it snowed several times and the owners came out to clear the drive and walk - amazing. We really appreciate the wonderful experience we had at Henry House and hope to be able to do it again.
We had a fantastic time. The house was amazing. Even better than the pictures. The house was spotless and was equipped with everything that we needed. Communication with the host was very quick and easy. We would definitely rent this house again
We were in Bennington for a graduation. The Henry House was ideally located and perfect for extended family time to comfortably catch up and reconnect. Communication was easy and everything was meticulously clean. We will definitely return any time we need a space this large. Thank you!
We stayed at the Henry House while in Bennington for a family Thanksgiving. It was very spacious for our family of 6. We had all the amenities we needed. For such a large house there was coziness all around. And for such an old house it was immaculate in cleanliness. The character of the house was so special and the touched of decorations added additional ambiance.
We would definitely visit again!
Our family was originally from north bennington and we came back to host a Christmas dinner for grandma. Such a beautiful location for our family to meet for the afternoon and spend the day together.
Thank you so much for sharing your beautiful home and grounds.
Every need was provided for and our hosts were so gracious.
My family and I stayed at the Henry House to celebrate a birthday and see the fall colors in Vermont. The home and grounds were gorgeous, spacious and clean. There was plenty of room for our family to spread out and enjoy the historic charm of the home. The fireplace was massive, the bathrooms were updated and all the bedrooms had their own unique aesthetic. We hope to stay at the Henry House again during the holiday season!
Our group (including ages 4-to-80+ with two dogs) had a wonderful time at the beautiful Henry House and grounds. Spacious, nice kitchen. Historic but with modern amenities and comfy beds. Owners were responsive and friendly. Loved this stay and hope to be able to do it again in the future. Thanks!
Our family had a great time at the Henry House. The house was immaculate and everything was in great working order. We had several fires in both the indoor and outdoor fireplaces. We would definitely stay here again and recommend this property without reservation. The hosts were quick to respond and informative

Thanks so much for your wonderful review!
You and your family were exceptional guests, and we look forward to your return!
Be well and stay in touch!
As enticing as Henry House appears in pictures, it is even more lovely in actuality. The home is redolent with the care of its owners, and that aesthetic and emotional investment conjures an atmosphere of warm beauty. Its kitchen is a delight to cook in and with the combined power of a robust heating system, an enormous fireplace and decorative charm, Henry House looks and feels warm even in the middle of a Vermont January. The owners were very thoughtful, leaving welcome treats for our human and dog party. The few times we had questions they also responded with remarkable speed and congeniality.
I have driven by the Henry House so many times and had no idea what a gem was hidden behind. We had a great stay. Our hostess was very responsive to our needs.
We were gathered for a little family reunion with 12 folks (some local and some staying) and would have been comfortable with more. We got take-out from Spice Root in Williamstown and ate out on the stone patio in front of a fire in the handsome stone fireplace. We had a nice breakfast around the big dining room table. We gathered around the screen in the den for a slide show of long ago family trips. The rooms were spacious and beautiful with lots of bathrooms.
We went to the Food Truck Festival, The Clark Museum and Berle Farm's store and wished we had time for more.
No complaints and highly recommend!

Thank you so much for the fantastic review! We are so happy you enjoyed your stay at the Henry House and took advantage of all the wonderful places/events nearby! You were fabulous guests, and we look forward to your return! Thanks again!
Henry House is the most amazing place! The grounds are beautiful and meticulously maintained - it’s like you’re at a resort! Awesome outdoor patio area with a fireplace and enough comfortable seating for a large group. While keeping a feel that’s true to the historic nature of the house, the inside still has all the modern amenities from kitchen supplies to high quality linens. There are multiple sitting rooms and areas with comfortable furniture. We were a big group and had plenty of space throughout. We enjoyed visiting on the front porch, games at the dining table, drinks on the patio, and reading in the living rooms. The views are idyllic, and the covered bridge is the cherry on top of this charming and one-of-a-kind property. Tom and Denise are accessible and gracious hosts. I can’t say enough good things about them and their house. Our whole group would go back there in a heartbeat!!
We had six Vermont women golfers stay at the Henry House during the Vermont Amateur Golf Tournament. What a fabulous experience! Denise made everything so easy for check-in. She left us a sweet welcome note wishing us luck for our tournament. You can spend hours looking at everything in the Henry House. It's amazing for such a historic home. And the outdoors area is phenomenal. The huge fireplace on the patio is so inviting! We totally planned on building a fire and making s'mores but instead took naps after long rounds of golf on the lovely patio furniture. We set up a chipping course (because really, we didn't play enough golf???) in the lawn area and it's really great for other lawn sports as well. Took a walk to see the wedding venue and again were amazed. My favorite is the small pond, waterfall and brook. I can see why the Henry House would be a go-to for weddings or other family gatherings. Thank you for being such a wonderful host Denise! xoxo
Had a great time staying here with a group of friends and my dog. The house itself was spacious and very well maintained; I was worried it would be a little out-of-date due to its age but everything was very modern in terms of kitchen and plumbing but still managed to hold its antique charm as a house overall.
Hosts were extremely accommodating and responsive when a snow storm warning was active and walked us through every part of check in and check out.
There’s also a dog kennel just a block away for when you need to leave the house without the dog so it worked out perfectly for us.
Would love to revisit the house and I look forward to returning again for another weekend.
The hosts of Henry House have created a wonderful home to stay in! It's clean, charming, well located in Bennington, and our group had a wonderful stay. The kitchen was stocked, there were thoughtful details like fleece blankets around the house and plenty of firewood to use. The hosts were friendly, communicative, and very accessible, which always makes things easier. We would definitely recommend it to anyone considering it, and would certainly book again ourselves if we were coming back to the area!

Kiran and her friends were fabulous guests! Kiran, was an excellent communicator, very pleasant, respectful and positive! She made sure everything was kept neat and orderly, and very appreciative of all the extra amenities! We look forward for her and her friends to return!
We stayed here for a mini-family reunion in between Christmas and New Year’s, and couldn’t be happier. We had ample space, and the kitchen was more than up to us cooking for 9 people.
From the moment we pulled up to the Henry House, we knew our weekend was going to be special. The property was well maintained and offered something for every age. We all experienced the natural beauty whether from the rocking chairs on the front porch with views of the mountains to the marked trail in the woods to explore. The home offered plenty of room for our guests and was fully equipped with games, kitchen necessities, blankets, towels and toiletries. The attention to detail and hospitality of Rebecca and her family were appreciated. The essentials of milk, bread, eggs and cheese and crackers was a welcomed surprise. We highly recommend this home and look forward to our next weekend getaway here.
What a find! A beautiful historic home with a covered bridge just across the street. The hosts were gracious and responsive. We really enjoyed exploring the area, hiking, and Mass MOCA. They really left no detail out. From hammock to lights and fireplace on the porch or inside. We highly recommend this beautiful home.
