Recently refreshed, Dancing Bear Lodge is a centrally located, dog friendly retreat that will please the entire family! From new lighting to fresh, neutral paint, the updates create the perfect home base at Deep Creek Lake.

Step inside, and you are welcomed by gleaming hardwood floors and cathedral ceilings. Decorated with a modern lodge theme, the main level's open layout easily lends itself to spending quality time together. Sink into comfortable leather sofas to watch TV with the glow of a crackling fire to warm you up on a crisp mountain night.

Newly equipped with black stainless steel appliances, dinnerware, and small appliances, the kitchen has everything you need to make delicious homestyle meals. Lots of counter seating gives everyone a spot to sit when you share big breakfasts or late-night snacks.

On the main level, you will find two bedrooms. Each one has a wall-mounted TV and is decorated with a good night's sleep in mind. One is furnished with a queen bed and the other with two bunk beds.

Upstairs, the primary suite gives you privacy so that you can completely unwind after a day spent exploring the outdoors. Filled with beautiful wood furnishings, it is both attractive and restful. You can watch TV before closing your eyes to dream of Deep Creek Lake adventures.

Each morning, you can pull up a rocking chair on the covered front deck to drink your coffee and consider your daily itinerary. Will it be hiking, biking, swimming, or fishing? The choice is up to you! Do a as much ~ or as little ~ as you please. The large grassy lawn that surrounds you has plenty of room for the kids to run and play with Fido. Plus, the back deck is ready and waiting to host an afternoon barbecue.

Centrally located, you are within minutes from restaurants, mini golf, marinas, shops, ziplines and more.

Wisp Resort is nearby offering four seasons of fun! Experience skiing, golf, snow tubing, the mountain coaster, disc golf, escape games and much more. On top of the mountain, the Adventure Sports Center is home to white water rafting thrills on their man-made river.

Area state parks are brimming with activities for every age and interest. Miles of hiking trails, sandy beaches for swimming, canoe rentals, cross country skiing and fishing are just a few ways to enjoy our public lands.

Much needed break.

Fantastic lodge. Open family room with lots of space connecting with the kitchen. Ample seating for gathering of family and friends. Enjoyable area in back with hot tub and fire pit. Plus, wonderful large front porch with rocking chairs for casual relaxing and morning coffee.

Returning family vacation at Deep Creek Lake

The house is centrally located but off the main Hwy. which is nice. It’s across the street from the lake but with no lake access except at the State Park about 8 miles away. The house itself is well maintained, nicely furnished and cozy. We liked the rocking chairs on the front porch especially.

Fun at Dancing Bear Lodge

We all enjoyed our stay at the lodge - very spacious and clean and comfortable for everyone in our group. We brought our dog, who is older, but had an easy time navigating the area. We enjoyed exploring deep creek lake, swallow falls, kayaking nearby, and some very nice restaurants nearby. We would recommend others staying here. Peaceful and relaxing!

Great house and convenient location to all that DCL has to offer.

Overall we were so happy with this house. We brought our boat and we were so happy that the driveway was nice and big to accommodate our trailer and vehicles. The house has been updated and everything worked as it should. We would recommend this location to anyone.

We had a group of 6 women who were away for a girls weekend! The house was beautiful and up to date, and we enjoyed the hot tub and back patio area. Family vacation

The home is nice. Close to things as well. We had no a/c the day we arrived. The house was hot and miserable. I called right away. They don’t answer the phones but sent message via email. Technician was sent out next day. Got unit running but it never cooled. He said it was on its last legs and wasn’t sure it would work. I called and emailed every day after and they never replied. It was unbearably uncomfortable in the house. Very disappointed as it ruined our whole stay

Great spot near Wisp!

8 adults and a couple small doggos stayed in this property for a long weekend trip to Wisp to go skiing and snowboarding. The house fit us well! The kitchen/living space was very open, which was nice for socializing. The kitchen had everything we needed appliance and cookware wise. However the house doesn't come with any consumables - you will need to bring everything with you including toilet paper, towels, dishwasher/laundry detergent, condiments, spices, cooking oil, hand soap, etc. The house is a quick drive to the slopes, but a little far to come back for lunch during the day so plan on being at the hill all day long. The driveway is steep and with the ice and snow we got while on our trip, one of our cars got stuck and couldn't get up the driveway. They provided a shovel and rock salt, so we managed to create a way to drive up, but just fyi that it could be an issue without 4 wheel drive! Hot tub was great. Would stay here again.

I rented the Dancing Bear Lodge for a group trip to deep creek lake Maryland and it was a fantastic experience! The VRBO was exactly as described and very clean! It was a 5 minute drive from several restaurants, a grocery store and a marina where we rented a boat from! I would highly recommend staying here!

Very enjoyable stay

Rented the cabin for the weekend. It was very clean, nice kitchen with new appliances and a good set of pots and pans. The house is very well kept, and is definitely one we would consider renting again.

Nice weekend escape

My family stayed at the Dancing Bear Lodge for a long weekend away. Location was close to everything downtown Deep Creek, restaurants and activities. There was a lot of traffic noise when outside, not exactly peaceful. Also be aware that the property management does not provide any outdoor seating until the end of April due to weather concerns. They were very responsive and provided us some chairs so we could sit around the firepit outside. Clean, comfortable and well appointed.

Amazing Place to Stay!

I stayed with 9 other ladies for a relaxing ladies weekend. The house was even better than I imagined! It was extremely clean! Everything was perfect! The house had everything we needed, and more! The outdoor space out back was amazing - hot tub, table and chairs, patio furniture, great yard, and an area for a campfire! I am hoping to stay here when I come back with my family! It was also a great location!

Great House!

We came with our teenage sons and our dog in late March. The weather wasn’t great but this was a great place to be! We had multiple dog beds for our dog to use and the space was perfect. There was a power outage for 1/2 the lake shortly after we arrived and we got an instant answer to our phone call and the property owner stopped by to check on us (it was cold). Would stay again!
