Pet Policy Dogs of all sizes are welcome. Please bring pet bedding or use the provided dog bed. We kindly ask that guests clean up after pets and keep them close when outdoors. We had a great stay at the cozy cabin! Perfectly situated in nature, yet close enough to society, this was the perfect weekend retreat to get away from the every day hustle.
Hosts were very accommodating and supportive! Helped me every step of the way. Clean and spacious area! Very relaxing and serene. Plenty of things to do from board games, movies, to learning about the history of the area. Hosts were very sweet and welcoming! Went out of their way to put up a birthday banner for my husband. we loved or stay and can’t wait to be back with our friends and family!

Perfect for a weekend getaway in the beautiful redwoods. Secluded but plenty of activities at the property. Outdoor shower and restroom are actually very nice. Many more kitchen ammenities than expected and very dog friendly.
Steven's place was a wonderful, peaceful get away. The property is just beautiful and our dogs loved all the space. Steven was very responsive with questions and accommodating for us! Would definitely recommend!
Property is cute and nice; wish they provided a local road map as had no internet access for the three nights there and no idea of where to go for things I liked
A great property and perfect base camp for exploring Gold Country. Like having a campground to yourself with the added plus of all of the comforts of home. Was a great solo (+dog) getaway and would be great for family trips and get togethers. Thanks for sharing your special place!
The best vacation rental I’ve ever booked. The property exceeded all expectations and we were so sad to leave. We are already looking at our calendar so we can book our next trip

Why they chose this property
Why We Chose This Area
We fell in love with this corner of the Sierra Foothills for its peaceful silence, open skies, and endless natural beauty. It’s the kind of place where you can hear the wind through the trees, see every star at night, and truly slow down.
The area blends small-town charm and outdoor adventure—from historic Gold Rush towns like Mokelumne Hill and Murphys to the rivers, lakes, and forest trails nearby. We love that it feels remote, yet it’s still close to great local spots like Sender’s Market, cozy bars, and Calaveras wineries.
Every visit reminds us why we built this retreat. It’s a place to breathe, explore, and reconnect with what really matters.
What makes this property unique
Our peaceful, cozy Sierra Foothills cabin blends rustic charm with the comforts of home, giving you the feeling of your own private campground on 5.5 forested acres. This dog-friendly, family-friendly retreat is perfect for guests who want to unplug without losing touch. There is no Wi-Fi, but strong cell service allows you to disconnect from screens and reconnect with nature. The treehouse platform, zipline swing, and outdoor movie nights by the campfire make this getaway truly one-of-a-kind in the Sierra Foothills.
