Clean and updated quaint cottage wedged in between Green Lake, Woodland Zoo, and Phinney Ridge. This is an ideal place if you are looking for a place to enjoy walks around the lake and quickly moving in between the Green Lake neighborhood, Phinney, Fremont, and Ballard. This is an ideal place for two coupled adults, a family of four, or if you're looking to work remotely with access to a one gig fiber line. Due to the unit’s location next to a main avenue, there may be potential street noise.

Thank you for taking the time to provide your feedback, we truly appreciate it. We're glad you liked the place and would love to have you back again!
The location was super convenient for exploring the surrounding neighborhoods. It had everything I needed and was very cozy. While it was close to the freeway, you could barely notice it while inside. I would definitely recommend this home for someone who wanted to get a feel for life in Seattle!
The house was so cute!! It was well taken care of and very clean. It was chilly, but we turned on the heaters and it didn’t take long to get warm and cozy.
Charming one bedroom unit walking distance from a huge park and a delicious coffee shop. I drove my two golden retrievers to visit friends in the area and this was the perfect home base for our stay.Easy instructions to access the property and a great local guide was provided when I checked in for details about close points of interest

We had a very nice stay at this little cottage - it's in a great location nearby Green lake, with nice walking and restaurants/coffee shops nearby. Cottage itself is very nicely setup and is very comfortable - we had a great stay - highly recommend

Awful experience. Avoid!I put my credit card in for the deposit on the third party platform for payments which went fine, and assumed I would be charged automatically for the stay. The host messaged me the night before my stay and said I had one hour to pay or else and that I needed to submit a “professional selfie” even though I had already put a selfie in the payment platform.I get to the house and it is not a “quaint” place ideal for working remotely as advertised—it is right on the freeway and the office/bedroom measured 80 decibels which is VERY loud. I left after one night of a one month stay but the host would not refund me.Host communication was poor—they never answered phone calls and their communication through the VRBO app was terse and unhelpful.
Very happy with the house and location. Easy and quick communication with host.

House was ok and clean.no driveway parking which we werent aware if until the day. Location is extremely loud at night, we didn't have any internet/ tv for the first 4 or 5 days.Advertised as sleeping 4 but there is only 1 bed and the other was a blow up mattress that deflated over night.Really recommend bongos and red mill for a feed.Vince was very quick at replying to all emails

We needed a place to stay for some appointments at Harborview, over a weekend. The house was so clean and easy to get to. The only "negative" we had is the proximity to loud traffic on Aurora,

Super Clean but Horrendously Loud
We booked this based on proximity of family and the Woodland Park Zoo. House is represented nicely on the website. However, Highway 99/Aurora Ave is quite literally in the backyard and traffic noise is 24 hours a day and horrendously loud. The house itself is comfortable and clean.

I greatly enjoyed the month I spent at this property. My dogs and I walked to the Woodland dog park everyday across the bridges. The unit was well equipped and clean. The traffic noise is a bit loud but that comes with city living I suppose and the owners did provide ear plugs. I highly recommend this rental.

The property was easy to find, pleasant appearance from ou, and parking was easy. The interior was clean and the kitchen was modern. It took a little while to warm up the baseboard heating because it was a cold night. But we were comfortable.

Green Lake cottage
House is an older home, darling and the right size for only one or two. The heating is individual (older electric space heaters) so rooms are hard to maintain a comfortable temperature. No heating for kitchen area which was uncomfortable. Located next to a busy freeway(in back of home) be prepared for noise at night and early morning commuters to city. Overall, it’s a safe, decent location to Green Lake, and walking distance to good restaurants. Wish the manager would’ve been more flexible with a late check out.

Thank you for your thoughtful feedback. I'm glad to hear you appreciated the home's charm, safety, and proximity to Green Lake and local restaurants. I apologize for any discomfort caused by the heating system or freeway noise. These are aspects I'll continue to evaluate for improvement.
Regarding the late check-out, I strive to accommodate all requests when possible, though scheduling constraints sometimes limit flexibility. I appreciate your understanding and will keep your comments in mind to improve the guest experience.
This was a tremendously disappointing stay. We moved in with two dogs, including an 8 week old puppy, hoping this would be a refuge between a number of cross state moves, health issues, and new employment. Between the construction happening, the lack of basic household goods, the rundown aspect of the house in general (holes in the walls, exposed electrical from defunct HVAC equipment, peeling paint etc) and the extreme proximity to a very loud highway we were pretty on edge over the first week but were willing to stick it out because of the logistical pain of moving. However a week into our stay we were treated to the absolutely disgusting experience of someone power washing the house with unsealed windows and doors, spewing a misty stream of filthy water all over the living room, entrance vestibule, and bathroom hallway. We were forced to move out of the Vrbo completely, received no compensation or consideration from the host, and were forced to go 12 rounds with VRBO support before receiving a refund for the remaining days on our reservation. In short, A for VRBO support finally figuring out the gravity of the situation and F- for this host.

Thank you for taking the time to share your detailed feedback. We regret that your stay did not meet your expectations. The property is accurately represented in the listing, but we understand that external factors such as nearby maintenance and the power washing incident caused disruption. While we wish the circumstances had been different, we appreciate your comments and will use them to continue improving our guest experience.

I come to Seattle a couple times a year to visit family and booked this property for 9 nights because of the location and based on the positive reviews. Unfortunately, I didn't have the positive experience noted in other reviews. The photos show a nice well-manicured front which didn’t accurately convey the foot high weeds I had to walk through to get to the front door. The interior was clean but the furniture was tired and not comfortable. I experienced multiple occasions where the outer door latch stuck in a locked position and I couldn’t access the house without having to contact the property owner. Other issues: a number of things falling apart or not working properly (such as the shower handle which had to be repaired by a handyman, mini blinds, the outer door handle, spotty internet, insufficient fans). The claw foot tub seems like it would be a sweet touch, but it’s awkward to shower in and there’s no place to put your toiletries other than the sink which requires you to open the curtain and get water all over the floor. Also the noisy street directly next to the house should not be underestimated. Even with the provided earplugs it was a restless sleep each night. I won't stay at this property for my any future trips.
