Arboretum Garden Apartment

A cozy private living area, kitchenette (microwave, toaster oven, refrigerator), bedroom with Queen-sized bed and bath with tub and shower. There is a couch in the living room and a small adult or child can sleep there. Extra sheets are provided. It is not a sleeper sofa, it is just a regular sofa. Located in Madison Valley, across the street from the Arboretum, the unit has a separate garden entrance with ample street parking in a quiet neighborhood. Major bus lines only 4 blocks away take you to Capitol Hill, Downtown, UW and the Central District in less than 20 minutes. Strong WiFi and Netflix. Perfect for 1 or 2 people, and possibly a child or small adult - all backgrounds are welcome in my home.

Cool little hideout down by the arboretum. Quiet, Calm, Relaxing fully contained place with everything you need. Clean, Well stocked, guess my only thought would be a little TV in the bedroom???

Lovely stay. Great location within steps of the arboretum and walking distance to several restaurants and coffee shops. Host checked in to make sure I had everything I needed. Would definitely stay there again.

Yes, the apartment was comfortable, had all the essentials we needed and the host was friendly and responsive each time I messaged her. It is in a lovely neighborhood - safe and friendly with generous on street parking. We hope to stay there again.

We loved being close to the Arboretum so we could enjoy nature in an urban environment. Also our room was facing a garden on the property with two chairs and a table. The property is very quiet and we slept soundly. We will definitely try to stay here again when next in Seattle. Thank you Carmen for being so quick to respond to our comments and questions. It is just a five or ten minute walk to a lively area with interesting shops and restaurants, and easy and affordable transportation on public buses that link up with a train to the airport and many other locations.

Really great for those looking for a cheaper option! Host was absolutely wonderful, bed and couch were comfortable, and the whole place was super cute. Public transit to and from was relatively easy. My only complaint was that the bathroom smelled a little mildewy, possibly just from how rainy the city gets. But overall, there were no real issues. We would definitely choose this option again if we visited Seattle again!

Convenient to the bus line, the host was able to guide us from the bus line to the apartment which got us started on using the bus. Bed was very comfortable. We were there kind of out of season, but I bet the backyard was like a secret garden in the spring or summer. Very private and very quiet.

We enjoyed thoroughly our stay in Carmen’s garden apartment, it so private, quiet, and comfortable with the pleasure of viewing nothing but green through its French doors. The garden apartment is just lovely! It's a perfect getaway spot-very cozy, well stocked and private. It's also an easy walk to Madison St. and to the Arboretum. I was there to see my daughter at Seattle U, so for any SU parents this is a great spot-easy 10 minute drive to campus. Would definitely stay again. Thanks Carmen!

I was born in Mexico, but have lived in Seattle for over 20 years. When my sons grew up and left the house, I decided to rent part of it through Vrbo. I have two dogs, Chester and Gus, and live upstairs with them and my partner. We love to take walks in the Arboretum, that is across the street, and we love to cook.

Why they chose this property

The neighborhood is close to main transportation lines to downtown and the University district. We are also close to Madison Street (4 blocks) with its restaurants and shops. The best thing about my neighborhood, however, is the Arboretum, a huge beautiful park with miles of trails and gardens.

What makes this property unique

It opens out onto the garden. It's very private and the bed is really comfortable.
