From celebration to just another weekend away!

The space is open, well detailed and with beautiful views just outside the windows. There is much nature to explore in the area and if you are a birder be sure to bring your binoculars! The amenities include everything one needs to cook up a delicious meals. We were there during a rainy day and thoroughly enjoyed the gas fireplace. We will be back!

Primera vez en Shelter Cove! Lo renté con la intención de celebrar el cumpleaños de mi mamá y encontré justo lo que quería, una vista divina! Mi familia y yo tuvimos un recibimiento q no lo esperábamos, la sorpresa de encontrar una tarjeta dándonos la acogedora bienvenida y además una botella de champán 🍾 en la refri fué un detalle hermoso! El Apt es so gorgeous uno de los top tops de los q me he hospedado, increíble vista hacia el mar y además puedes caminar hasta el mar, me encantó que las toallas se veían nuevas💯, muy bien cuidada la ropa de cama 👍. Me mandaron un email con indicaciones q me ayudaron muchísimo dónde una de las cosas más importante que decía era q descargara el mapa antes de salir porque no hay señal y eso me ayudó. Lo único fué que cuando puse la dirección en google en la foto aparecía una vieja cabaña y me asusté muchísimo porque no coincidía con las fotos que aparecían en la app. Pienso q tendrían q actualizar la foto de google o poner un comentario en la descripción o cuando se manda la dirección a la persona que lo renta para que no le pase lo mismo q a mí y confundirse un poco. Por último mi familia y yo tuvimos una de las mejores experiencias en shelter cove! Love it ❤️!

We loved this vrbo! Such a beautiful home with private black sand beach. We loved the space and had such a nice experience with the host and the whole process of our stay. We will recommend and be back!

Superb views

The pictures of the property don't really communicate just how grand the views are and how large the space is. The apartment has an open floor plan, with no separate rooms except for the bathroom, and the ceilings are super high, with enormous windows overlooking the ocean, so the space feels very large and open. The house is perched right above the beach, so it's a great location for hiking north up the coast.

Shelter Cove

Wonderful privacy and location to enjoy a few quiet days. House was immaculate. We rented both up and down units and did not stay in the lower level apartment. The units did not communicate with one another. Totally separate. If you are planning a stay and want the whole house for a family reunion or get away, I’m sure the owner would work on allowing access between apartments.

Shelter Cove Honeymoon

My partner and I love the Northern California coast so we decided to stay in Shelter Cove for our honeymoon. Simy’s place is an amazing home base for comfort and exploration. If you want to stay in, you have a beautiful view, hot tub, deck, fireplace, and kitchen (if you like cooking) to enjoy. If you want to get out, there are the tidal pools, black sands beach, hiking, and mountain biking trails to enjoy. We visited Gyppo for beer and appetizers - definitely recommend. The WiFi was perfect for staying in touch via text / video chat. Wildlife in the area = deer with fawns, mama fox with kits, skunk, seals, sea lions, star fish, sea birds.

Unbelievable stay by the ocean!

Simy's place is as good or better than the photos. You are right on the ocean, and look down onto black sands beach! It is clearly newly renovated. Everything was perfect. He's also an absolutely amazing host. I highly recommend staying with Simy at his ocean-side home.

Beautiful coastal getaway!

We had a great time in Shelter Cove. Views of the ocean are as amazing as the listing claims! It was great being able to sit inside and still have the same view as we would have sitting outside, since it was a little chilly. We appreciated all of the blankets! The only (minor) downside was there was a bit of sound-bleed through from the downstairs neighbors. Not a big deal since they were pretty quiet and we only heard TV noises, etc., but it would be nice to have a little more sound isolation between the units if possible. Overall though, its a beautiful place with a fantastic view -- we will definitely be back!

Breathtaking

We were so excited to go and get out on a mini vacation. The minute we opened the door all of us “ooh and aww” the whole time we went through the rental. Beautiful cathedral ceilings with amazing natural light since the house has panoramic windows. She has EVERYTHING planned. From spices in the kitchen to a sparkling Rosé in the wine cooler, accompanied by a lovely “hello” letter. If I had any issues I could send a quick text and she responded promptly. The jacuzzi on the porch was amazing. Sit in it and look at the ocean, listening to the waves. Then at night, sit in the jacuzzi and star gaze. So many deer roaming around. Made my heart flutter. It truly is an amazing home. All you need to do is bring food and water as everything, EVERYTHING, is provided. We loved our stay and will come back.
