julie, the host, was awsome. if i had any questions she answered them right away. the house and the surroundings were beautiful. will definitely go back
The stay was great. We had 4 couples spend the weekend sledding. The only issue we had was the internet was down for a bit, but it was fixed the next day and she also refunded us 100 for the small inconvenience. I would also say, if I would change anything, it would be to add small soap and shampoo in the showers. Thanks for allowing us to stay in your beautiful property. -Tyson
Place is beautiful, location is perfect. The property was clean and has room to sleep many people comfortably. Our stay was perfect and will likely be back!
This house was absolutely beautiful and so perfect for us or really any family! There was tons of space and rooms! Beds were very comfortable, everything was very clean and was decorated so cute! The owner was great to work with and we cannot wait to come stay here again!
Excellent property right on the lake. The home is roomy, beautiful, and well appointed. It was perfect for our family reunion. Julie the owner was great to work with. Thanks Julie!
House worked out well for our group of 3 families. Plenty of space for kids and adults to hang out together or separately. Kitchen was well equipped. There are quite a few steps down to the lake, so while it might be a concern for some, we had no issue going up and down them. Would definitely stay here again, but for longer than just a weekend!
This is truly a St. Germain gem. The images in the listing are nice, but they do not capture just how spacious and pristine this cabin truly is. Its beautifully furnished and fully functional with everything one could imagine needing during an extended stay. While spacious, it still has a warm and cozy essence about it. It’s perfectly located near a grocery market and other conveniences, yet remote enough to still facilitate a great escape. I highly recommend this rental and plan to rebook with this warm host in the near future.

Thanks so much for being our guest! Thanks for the great review!
My husband and I chose Hideaway Pines for our summer gathering spot six months before he died. We all loved it and know he would have also! Our two grown children and their families and I had plenty of room for privacy, but the house had plenty of common space for time together. The kitchen was very well stocked and we enjoyed it being a part of the great room. The younger kids loved the sand area by the lake and everyone enjoyed the kayaks, lily pad etc. We rented a ski boat that was perfect at the dock and lake. This beautiful home and property was the Perfect spot for our time together. We included 1 grandma, two families with 5 grandchildren ages 4-12. There was plenty of room to spare. Loved it!
We stayed for 7 night. We were so pleased when we arrived at how nice the home was. We put our fishing boat in at the public landing that was close and the dock on the property was very sturdy and nice. We also rented a pontoon boat from Rocks Rental and met them at the landing. The dock had plenty of room for both boats and could be seen from the house. It very private and we left our equipment on boats. Very convenient. Yes there are stairs but I’m 66 and husband 65 and we did fine. Neither of us work out. The furniture is comfortable. We slept very well. Internet good for streaming. Phone reception was good. The grill was like new and we prepared all meals but one there. We saved a lot not eating out and enjoyed preparing meals as a group. The fire pit is right outside the lower floors sliding doors. Convenient to bathroom and fridge on that level so we actually had more fires than we have had on other trips. We also used the kayaks and everything about the lake was good. Still no Muskie after all these years but it was a great trip for 3 generations of family.

It was alright..
The view was probably the best part of the whole house, and it was very spacious, I will say the WiFi wasn’t working, which wouldn’t have been a huge deal except I had to sit on the phone with support to get it working again which took time away from my vacation.. I tried to mention it wasn’t that important but was already on the phone with the WiFi company, we were able to get it working again but it was annoying. They mentioned they would provide garbage bags but they had only 2 for the whole house, so we had to go buy more, along with dish soap, they had regular hand soap but zero dish soap, oh and only a roll of paper towel.. Which I would have brought all myself had I known they weren’t going to provide the bare minimum, and I also never had to bring any of those supply’s for a 4 day weekend before.. from my understanding they made it seem like they had basic kitchen supplies but ended up not.. the house was also pretty dusty and had dead flies all over the place.. not deal breakers but definitely never had so many inconveniences while staying at a VRBO. Over all the place was in a nice location and the lake was beautiful.
We paid over $11,000 for staying in a rental that was grossly misrepresented on VRBO. We have rented via VRBO more than 20 times in our lives and never been this misled. Eight of the 10 guests did not stay the week out of frustration with the compromised condition of the rental. Two people were not able to negotiate the 72 stairs to get down to the water the entire week. in your advertising description you talk about "gently sloping" access to water...this is just a blatant deception. (I have pictures)
Upon arrival, after buying steaks for 10 people the first night, we learned there was no propane for the grill; and, the grill was filthy, rusty, and burnt out (I have pictures).. Who would eat off of this piece of junk?
The refrigerator is another piece of junk ...no inside shelves on either door (I have pictures)--no shelving in freezer side as well
Loose spacing in sliding screen doors (I have pictures)
Bathtub did not drain...standing in 3 inches of water (I have pictures)
No Wood
No swim towels as advertised
No dish cloths or towels as advertised
Outside plastic chairs cracked (I have pictures)
No, all the beds are not new (as described in VRBO)
Garbage overflow by Monday
I had to drive to town three times to get propane, dishwashing pods, and draino. $11,000 and I am driving to town to furnish the rental!
Downstairs TV not working
I could go on and on...terrible.
I am requesting a 50% refund.
Please advise
We absolutely loved this property! It was stunning and even more beautiful than the pictures. There is plenty of space in the driveway for multiple vehicles, tons of beds for all your guests and multiple gathering spots on the property (inside & outside). Julie was always quick to responding and super helpful in answering all of my questions leading up to the trip. This place is a hidden gem and I will definitely be back with family & friends again!
