This bay front home on Broadkill Beach is ready to host your vacation stay. Waterfront on Broadkill Beach and the Delaware Bay! Charming wood cottage vaulted wood ceilings and all the amenities -- granite, stainless appliances, tiled bath, sliders to large deck and walkway to the beach! 3 bedrooms, 1 bath with half bath in lower laundry area plus great outdoor shower! Side 4 season porch provides separate area for reading or just space from the rest of the crew! Enjoy building a bonfire on the beach and watch beautiful sunsets over the Delaware Bay, or just take in all the relaxation that the beach has to offer. Cable, high speed internet, outdoor shower and ample parking. Pull out couch for occasional additional guests takes house capacity from 6 to 8 people. Gated front and rear decks to take in the views of the sunrise or sunset.

Property is available for three night stays in the pre and post seasons. Ask your agent for details.

All guests must supply their own sheets, towels and beach towels or OPT in for our linen rental package.

Guests must choose to purchase a $70 Vacation Rental Damage Insurance policy covering $3,000.00 in accidental damage, or pay a refundable security deposit of $2,000.00. Policies of a lesser amount are not acceptable. This amount will not be reflected in the quote amount on VRBO.

The property must be occupied for the entire rental period by the Guest signing the Lodging Agreement (Responsible Guest), and all occupants of the Property shall be supervised by the Responsible Guest. The Responsible Guest must be at least 25 years of age. If the party is made up of unrelated individuals (a group rental where the Responsible Guest is NOT the legal guardian/parent of any other guests), ALL guests occupying the property must be at least 25 years of age.

We accept Mastercard, Visa, American Express and Discover Credit Cards and eChecks for your initial deposit. We also accept personal checks for final payments. Final payments are due 30 days prior to your check-in date. NOTE: Any payments within 30 days of arrival require to be in certified funds or by credit card. You will be provided a link to a Guest Portal where you can securely make your payments online.

VRBO BOOKINGS: This property is hosted by the management company noted as Owner on VRBO. After booking the property you will be charged a booking fee by VRBO. ALL other fees and the rental amount will be charged by the management company and paid to the management company. Once you have booked you will be contacted by the management company and sent a Lodging Agreement that must be signed. Apart from Damage Protection, all fees associated with the booking are displayed in the VRBO booking.

Rented the property before. The kitchen is well-equipped, beds are comfortable. There is direct access to the beach and a great variety of birds! (oh, yeah, well, and flies if the wind is from the west). Both the owner and rental company are responsive.Would recommend.

We loved our stay in broadkill. The place was very clean, quiet and relaxing. You could hear the waves and the beach was very nice. Our dog and baby had the best time.

Sucluded Beach Property

Very clean property steps away to a sucluded beach. There is no parking or access to beach other than those staying here. Broadkill store does make good pizza. House has all your amenities. I would go back in a heartbeat

Great beach house

Only couple minor things when we arrived. Living room rug had couple threadbare spots Broken board outside shower and previous trash not picked up. But the place is an awesome beach house We would definitely rent this place again next year.

Relaxing/Quiet Beach

Reminded me of the Outer Banks. Beach nice and quiet with plenty of room for beach activities. Able to take the dog. House quaint and costal. Only bad things; two bedrooms are not private, open at the top, needed drain cleaner for the water to drain out of tub. Also, water was shut off one day from 10am to 4pm.

Wonderful house on a great stretch of beach

This is a great house for our small family to spend time together walking on the beach, visiting Lewis, or going to Rehoboth, It's only 2 bedrooms, but has a spacious living area and more than enough deck space. Broadkill Beach is a quiet area with few people on the beach, lots of crabs, and quite a few on-beach vehicle fishing (mostly at the middle and end of island). This is our 4th visit to this house and we will likely return again next year. There have been a number of nice updates to the house this year.

We had a pretty nice stay at this house on broadkill beach

Checking in was convenient and the house was lovely. Although upon arrival we had to clean dog hair from the freezer, furniture, and decorations. The upstairs bathroom was not very clean, and the down stairs bathroom had to be cleared of dirt/sand, spiderwebs, and spiders. When cleaning for checkout, the vacuum cleaners were full of dog hair and the wheels fell off of one of them. Aside from cleaning issues the house was very nice and we had a good time. Also the location and surrounding area is very nice.

Gorgeous house, great location

Overall the house was great. It was perfect for two couples and had everything we needed with direct access to the beach. A few little things though kept me from giving 5 stars. The walls are VERY thin. You will absolutely hear everything in the other rooms. Ahead of our stay, the property manager was quick to respond however once we arrived we could not get an answer either via email or phone call to the number provided. There is a lower level where the washer/dryer was that was locked. We asked how to access but never heard back. As we were leaving we found a key on the floor marked as laundry. This definitely should be put somewhere better for folks to see and use. The deck also is in need of repair. There are a lot of places where the screws are not flush or boards are broken/splintered and you will cut your feet. Overall I would recommend this house but be advised.

I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The beach house was in a great location, the beach was beautiful and the sunrises were amazing from the living room. There were a couple of issues- the outside yard area was not maintained, beach weeds were 4 feet tall so my short legged dogs could not use the yard, this meant we needed to take them on walks to do their business.The washer and drier area could of used some cleaning. Sand in the washing machine and a thick layer of dust on both the washer & drier. The top oven needs to be cleaned, we couldn't use it due to spillage from another person. Garbage & recycling had not been picked up and the schedule on refrig is last years schedule (2022). I had to call the management company to get it picked up. It would be great for the owner to supply wine glasses and a welcome book with directions to TV and general household instructions as well as suggestions for the area..i.e restaurants, grocery stores, medical facilities, etc.

Nice house in a beautiful location

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The house is a great size for a small family. It was specious for us and seems as if it would be comfortable for 6. Proximity to the beach is the main draw and is as close to a private beach experience as I can imagine. Most of the week it felt like we were the only ones there. There is plenty of wildlife in the area: fiddler crabs, birds of all kinds, rabbits, and foxes were seen daily. The house is comfortable and the kitchen well-appointed. There was plenty of toilet paper (be sure to use theirs due to septic system) and cleaning products. The house has pillows and blankets. The grill is quite large and works well. Neighbors are quiet and nice. Be sure to bring bug spray. Flies can be irritating, but never drove us from the beach in July. Broadkill Beach is a nice place to bike with the store at one end and nature preserve at the other. Lewes is only 20 minutes away, and Rehoboth is 40 with summer traffic.A few minor issues:- Poison ivy lines the path to the beach and outdoor shower. - The wooden floor of the outdoor shower is beginning to disintegrate leaving nail heads exposed in a small area.

Comfortablebeach cottage

Overall, we were pleased with our stay. The cottage is right on the bay, though it's a bit of a walk across the dunes to get to the beach. It's cozy, modern, and clean. It's obvious that the owner take good care of the home. It's attractive and well maintained inside and out. The bedrooms are very small with just enough room for a queen bed in two of them and a set of bunk beds in the third. But the common area is large and open and the kitchen is well equipped. However, the check-in process is rather cumbersome. You have to seek out a lock box to get the keys to the house and it is not easy to find. If not for a knowledgeable customer at the nearby Broadkill Market I wouldn'thave found it. The house itself is advertised as sleeping eight and 1-1/2 bathrooms, both of which are misleading. Though you could technically sleep eight people, two would be sleeping on a fold out sofa in the common area. And all would be sharing the single small bathroom, The half bath is in the basement of the house, accessible only from outside, and consists of a toilet sitting in the middle of a dark unfinished space next to the washer and dryer, with no privacy whatsoever. That is not a half bath. IMO,the house is prefect for a couple with or without two or three young children. A larger party would be more comfortable in a larger house.

Late summer at the bay

We enjoyed walking over the dune path to the beach, making little bonfires by the gentle morning waves, watching the ghost crabs skitter in and out of their holes, and gazing at the stars late into the night. The house was comfortable, spacious and clean. My husband was able to telework in the room downstairs without bothering my daughter and me with his work conversations. I loved lying in bed looking up at the high ceilings. I wish the owners would make the kayaks available because the bay is perfect for a paddle. The only drawbacks in late August were the biting flies.
