Owner of Property was very easy to work with. Very responsive to messages prior and during the stay. Only downside (and only cause we have kids) no TV down stairs. Overall the cabin is nice and open. Close to activities and store.
We were a group of two families (each with two young kids), and we had a great time at this house! The house is very clean, organized, and the bunk beds were great for the kids. The owner was very thoughtful and easy to coordinate with. The house is also conveniently close to Big Trees state park and White Pines lake which were fun places to visit with the kids.
The property is beautiful especially the kitchen and master bath. There were a couple of issues that the owner was not aware of but he worked with us and was appreciative we had told him. The outside is gorgeous and the deck needs a little maintenance which I believe the owner will take care of. The grand room and openess of the house is very enjoyable. We hope to return
We rented this cabin on July 1 -3. There were 11 of us in our family. We enjoyed our stay here. The cabin is well stocked, especially the kitchen. We brought a rice cooker, but there was already one there. They also have Insta pot. Cabin is updated, loved the floors, master’s bathroom and the large tub. Plenty of supplies- shampoo, conditioners, tp’s. Host was very responsive. We will definitely rent this place again. Thank you.
We had two families with five children ages 2-7, and the house was PERFECT! Easy to find, well situated, and close to groceries and restaurants. The home itself was clean and kid-friendly. The downstairs was spacious with a bathroom, pool table/playroom, and four full-sized bunk beds (perfect kid haven). The upstairs had two decent-sized bedrooms and bathrooms, a living area, a dining area with a large table (all nine of us fit), and a kitchen with all the standards. During the day, we played in the snow at Big Trees and Spicer, and the littles had a magical time. If you dine out, I'd drive to Murphys as they seem better set up for visitors and large groups. As we drove away, the kids were already begging to go back, and I wouldn't mind returning either.
The house was very clean and comfortable. The owner was very responsive.
There were enough linens and sheets. The Basement had a pool table, couches which were very cozy and also 2 full bunk beds. The dining table was convenient for all of us. We enjoyed the backyard view.
Kitchen had everything required (many plate settings and misc items). However, a couple more stainless steel pans would be good to have.Just one suggestion would be to have shelves in the bedroom so we can unpack the suitcases. The existing shelves had linens and additional blankets and we didn't want to taint them by keeping our clothes as well. Overall we enjoyed our stay greatly. We are looking forward to booking the house again.

Missing many basic items found in VRBO rentals
There were no hand towels or washcloths in any of the 3 bathrooms or linen closets. The master bedroom bed is just 10 inches tall this should be in the listing. It is difficult to get out of and use while getting dressed. The kitchen is missing many basic items such as, a vegetable peeler, cheese grater, a working wine opener, a cookie sheet, regular size tong, a grill brush for the grill, and measuring spoons. These are just the items that I needed while making meals for my family and would expect . The kitchen/ dining room tablecloth had many stains which made it feel dirty. Upon our arrival the carbon monoxide alarm was going off which was because the battery was dead. The alarm needs a working battery and to be plugged in. There should be a back-up 9 volt battery so that there is still a working monitor in the cabin for safety. The barstools are so rickety if anyone actually sat on them they would suffer an injury. The grill handle is loose but there is not a screwdriver anywhere. I also appreciate a binder that gives you information about how to open and close the rental, how items work ? Just basic info , there is not one. All of these items are very basic items found in most homes and certainly in a VRBO listing that states “ Full Kitchen “ and Linen and Towels included. We did find the hand towels, wash clothes, and kitchen towels two days later in the dryer.
This property was great. It’s much larger than it looks from the outside. The floor plan is excellent for multi generation groups. The location is very convenient, Close to the market and far enough from the highway to be quiet but still close enough for easy access. The owner is very quick to respond to any questions! Overall an excellent choice.
Upon entering the property, you will know right away that the place is very clean. Beddings were neatly arranged and pillows were clean. Kitchen & bathroom were well maintained. We had a very comfortable and relaxing vacation. Location was great. The grocery was just close by so it was easy to run and buy stuff that we had forgotten to bring. It is also close to restaurants and less than 10 mins away from Calaveras Big Trees State Park.
We would recommend this house to family and friends.
The cabin host was amazing! Our trip was originally scheduled for mid Jan, but all 10 people in my party caught covid during the surge and after trying to cancel, the host recommended to reschedule, which I never thought was an option, and opened up his calendar to accommodate us. The house was spotless with all required dishes, cooking supplies, hand soap, body wash, shampoo and conditioner and almost everything else you may need during your stay. I love that the downstairs was a little hangout area with a pool table and couches. I look forward to booking more weekend vacations here!
Me and a few friends booked this place to go skiing and it couldn’t have been a better experience. The property was in an amazing location and the inside of the cabin was perfect. We especially liked the pool table downstairs.
This was a last minute booking and we had problems with booking. Owner was incredibly helpful keeping us informed and taking time to call Vrbo also. The house is gorgeous! Kitchen is huge, everything labeled and easy to find. The kitchen/dining/living room area are all big and connected, it was perfect for our group of adults, teens, and little kids. I would stay again in a heart beat!
What a wonderful place, beautifully appointed, extremely convenient and comfortable for a varied group. The downstairs area is brilliant for a teens; the master suite is great for the busy grownup. Everything is labelled, it's spic-and-span, it's spacious and comfortable and well-lit, obviously someone's loved home. Though it's in a large development, there's plenty of privacy and a view of the woods from the back deck. The instructions were complete and easy to follow, owners responsive, none of the usual little annoyances (all the light bulbs worked for example). My new favorite in Arnold!

Thank you for your kind review. We hope to see you again soon :)
The property is very nice, and has 2 distinct areas (in case you want quiet time on one floor and normal on another). 3 full bathrooms is always a plus! We had PLENTY of snow and enjoyed our stay. Can't wait to book again!
My family of four and another family of four stayed here for three nights Thanksgiving week. We had a wonderful time. The bedrooms were perfect to meet our needs. The four kids absolutely loved having their own downstairs space and bunk beds. The pool table got some good use too. The kitchen and bar area had all we could ask for and Chetna (our host) even left a housewarming gift for us! The house is close to restaurants, fun shopping and dining in Murphy’s and an easy drive to Big Trees State Park. We would absolutely stay here during our winter holidays again. The heater worked great and kept everyone warm, although I would recommend turning off the downstairs unit overnight because the kids said they got too hot the first night but slept great after we made that change. All in all, this home provides everything you might need for a quiet and fun getaway in Calaveras County.
Had a great weekend get away with the family. The cabin had a nice kitchen for family meals and card games. It was in a great location…close to the market, restaurants, white pines lake and Calaveras big trees.
