We had a group of 10, and the property was spacious, beautiful, and perfectly functional for us. We were impressed with how accommodating, kind, and responsive the hosts were. All of our questions were answered quickly and they went above and beyond to be sure we were comfortable. This is a perfect spot to stay if you enjoy seclusion with lots of fun activities just a short distance away. We look forward to returning!
The cabin was a great place for our trip! We had plenty of space, got to explore the sweet town of Ellijay while we were there, and made lot of memories together in the cabin! It was clean, the owners communicated super quickly, and we had everything we needed at the cabin. Very grateful to have spent time here!
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay for our Stewart Foundation leadership retreat. The space was very accommodating. The best part was the kindness and expedient responses and communication from the owners, Michael & Jeri. Thank you so much, we appreciate it. We will schedule another visit.
Beautiful location! This location fit our group of 24 well. Kitchen is stocked and the living room was perfect for our church volunteer group. Walks in the woods above the main buildings were fantastic. The host was also super responsive. We had some issues with hot water and water supply which the host was super gracious to fix personally. Overall quiet and peaceful.
Our women’s group from our church used this property for our yearly retreat. Communication with our hosts was great—they answered any questions we had and were very responsive! And we were very thankful for their detailed directions! The views were stunning, and the property was big enough to accommodate our group of 17 women. While we enjoyed our stay (the views were the best!), there were things that were unexpected and we wish we would’ve known up front before booking. We did not realize that the cabins didn’t have a full bathroom. The listing said each bathroom had at least a toilet and shower, and no where in the listing info or on the pictures was there mention of a bathhouse. We did find one mention of it in the check-in info sent the week of the trip, but we totally missed that when reading over it because we had read the listing multiple times before deciding on this property for our trip, so we didn’t question the bathroom situation until we got there & saw that there weren’t showers in each bathroom. No half baths were listed in the property info. Another surprise was the 4 cats that greeted us & stayed on the porch the whole weekend. It made it very hard to enjoy the beautiful porch & views—they all tried to get your food or drink if you wanted to sit outside to eat. We had ladies in our group who are highly allergic to cats. We also had to clean thick dust off the vents to the air units in the cabins, & the property in general is in need of a good deep clean.
r stay. The kids had a good time fishing at the pond everyday. Our group had a lot of fun playing kickball and wiffle ball down in the large field. We cooked breakfast daily and had plenty of room for our large group to eat meals together.
We rented "The Lodge" to hold our church's annual men's retreat and it was wonderful! Plenty of room, great location, quiet, restful, and spiritually renewing! We had a wonderful weekend in a wonderful location and everyone who went thoroughly enjoyed their stay! We highly recommend "The Lodge" to anyone who wants a relaxing getaway in the North Georgia mountains!
Our group came to the mountains for a church college retreat. We loved the property, the owners and family were so communicative, friendly and helpful! Lots of room and plenty of ways to relax and enjoy nature. Would highly recommend this rental and we hope to go back!

Good visit
We had a very enjoyable stay. The owners are very pleasant and easy to work with. It feels like the facility could use some updates and a really deep clean. But we would stay again.
We used the property to host a small wedding and it could not have been better! The house was big enough to host everyone comfortably and we couldn't get over the views! Michael was incredibly kind and made sure we had everything we needed. Highly recommend to anyone looking to host an event!
We had a large group stay at this wonderful Lodge and it met and exceeded our expectations. Rooms were clean, Kitchen well stocked, plenty of room for 18 people to move around in main house without being cramped. The only thing I would add, would be to stock Kitchen with heavy duty big spoons instead of cheap plastic. Overall this place was excellent.
Our church rented "The Lodge" for a Men's Ministry Retreat Weekend. We felt that it offered the space and serenity that we were looking for - and we were not disappointed! The "Main Lodge" was spacious and comfortable for our meals and studies, while the bedrooms and cabins were comfortable. All-in-all we had a wonderful time that was made better by staying at The Lodge! We hope to come back and stay here for future retreats!
This rental is AWESOME for a large group. The main lodge has three bedrooms and two bathrooms and then the other two buildings have 8 beds with a bathroom each. The game room has foosball, air hockey and a couple other things. The kitchen is large and allows for lots of room to cook. I will say, we struggled finding things to cook with and there was only one frying pan but other than the selection of cooking utensils, it was great! Very very cute area. The driveway is a little steep and can be slippery in the rain but we didn’t have any issues. Overall, great place.
