With a rejuvenating home setting and great waterfront access, staying at the Riverside Cabin will be very relaxing. The home is rustic with modern Scandinavian touches.
Enjoy quiet days and dark starry nights. Every room in the house offers great views of the surrounding area including Mt Sawtelle. There is so much more than the two National Parks. Be sure to visit Mesa Falls which is just 30 minutes south on Hwy 20. Big Springs is 4 mi upstream. Harriman State Park, another hardly known jewel of Idaho.
You will enjoy the privacy in this neighborhood. The homes are on a private drive with a dozen or so riverfront cabins in a tranquil forested setting. There's excellent trout fly fishing just off property. Abundant wildlife; eagles, osprey, and moose visit frequently. The homes are on a well-maintained private road with very easy access to Hwy 20, trails and local amenities. You can walk to river floating activities. The homes are tucked away so there's less crowds yet close to it all and safe.

We stayed here to travel to Yellowstone. Unfortunately Yellowstone had other plans but this cabin was perfect. We loved eating breakfast while watching the river. We saw quite a bit of wildlife. The bunk house has very comfy beds.

The view on this property keep us captivated the entire time we were there. It is a charming old cabin, with just enough modern amenities to keep us comfortable.

We want to thank the rental agency for refunding our cleaning deposit. This property was not even close to clean or well cared for. Future renters should ask for current interior and exterior photos of the property. We are not able to post photos we took when we arrived. Caution!

Thanks for the feedback. The cabin is shut down for the winter and will be going under a complete deep clean before it reopens in the spring. I am truly sorry for your troubles at our home but rest assured it will be ready for all future guests.
We had a blast at this property and would love to return! We’ve travel to island park every year & this is a favorite so far. Tons of wildlife right outside the door (Moose, Elk, Deer, Beavers, Fish, BigFoot). A few hang ups with check in process & WiFi password, but let’s be honest if you want WiFi in Island Park you’re doing it wrong. Host was extremely responsive during the stay resolving WiFi issue in person and also minor home hiccups. This cabin is 100 years old, but renovated creatively and the bunkhouse is much newer with modern amenities. Location was walking distance from gas station & multiple restaurants, but somehow silent and remote on the property. This beats tent or trailer camping for us & we look forward to next year! You won’t regret this stay!

Thanks for the 5 star review, we truly appreciate it. Glad to hear you enjoyed your stay. Please come back soon and visit.
I’ve stayed in a lot of cabins in Island park and they all come with the good and the bad. What this place lacks, such as a smaller kitchen, limited parking space, no tv, is more than compensated with the view and location. Being right on the river makes it a lot cooler temps in the summer and the wildlife and serenity can’t be beat.

Glad to hear you enjoyed the peace and quiet, it's nice to get away from everyday life sometimes. Thanks for the feedback and letting our future guest know.
We booked this because we planned a trip to Yellowstone (20 mins away). We had no idea that we would be wanting to stay at the cabin for most days. It was relaxing and beautiful. So close to Yellowstone and we did the Yellowstone rodeo, coming home to watch the sunset each night and waking up to wildlife was magical. We loved our stay and the space was big enough for our 5 kids.
