Can't beat this location! Walking distance to Cashiers Crossroads but still quiet and feels secluded. The host was very attentive and made sure we had all we needed. Great communication! Would stay again!
We had a fantastic stay at the Tuckaway Cabin. We loved the location and trails within the neighborhood. Sarah was very helpful and quick to respond to any questions. We hope to be back!
This is the real Cashiers! A cozy old-fashioned cottage in the forest. Furnished with comfy beds and only forest noises at night, it's great for sleeping, with only bird songs to awaken you in the morning. And it's still only minutes to town. We enjoyed our stay and our hosts were very helpful.
Great location, basically in Cashiers. Other homes nearby but lots of trees gives you a secluded feel. Great covered deck with two grills. Beds were comfortable, property was clean and had everything you need to be self sufficient.
We had a great stay in cozy cabin located close to town! The cabin was very clean and stocked with coffee, water, soap etc. Check in was easy and property manager was quickly responsive when needed. We traveled with our dogs and there were many other dogs in the neighborhood off leash, which made walking, loading into our car and driving a little more difficult. Otherwise, had a great trip!!
This cozy house was extremely clean and had everything that we would need, including being generously stocked with name brand products (my spouse was particularly impressed by the diffuser sticks). The location is great, being a short walk from the middle of town yet with the vibe and scenery of a mountain cabin. The owner Sarah is great, and gave us a couple excellent suggestions for short hikes from the front door to a nearby flower garden and waterfall.
In short, we had a great time, won't hesitate to come back, and recommend this nice place.

Thanks for your comments Tim. I'm glad you enjoyed the cabin and the area and hope you will return to the plateau for a future visit.
Property was quiet, clean and had everything we needed. The deck was wonderful- watching the hummingbirds come to the feeder. Lots of hikes in the area as well as restaurants. Checkin and checkout was the easiest we ever experienced. Did not have to strip beds, start dishwasher etc. Sarah, the host was very responsive. A hot tub would have been the extra icing on the cake
Great experience except for minor problems with a dog next door that is not properly looked after Not owners fault but could have been warned Nice cabin and owner, great location!
I would highly recommend this property to anyone considering a trip to the Cashiers area. Check in was a breeze and Sarah was very easy to communicate with. She sent over the info for check in along with easy driving directions (use hers as it is tricky following the GPS). We arrived to a very clean cabin with plenty of towels and supplies. The bed are very comfortable and it is extremely quiet where the cabin is. We booked this place with the intent to walk to restaurants in the evening and we did. It is about a mile to the crossroads, very easy walk (not too much elevation change). I would certainly stay here again.
This cozy little cabin is one of the "warmest" feeling cottages with a great covered back porch to enjoy the quiet of the woods, the babbling brook, and the birds chirping.
First place I have been with a Traegor and Big Green Egg available on the deck for renter's use.
Abundant spices and accessories if you want to cook in.
Confortable bed and beyond abundant closet space.
Large screen TV with all the streaming services available.
A very relaxing retreat spot. I will be back.
This cute house has EVERYTHING you need for a comfortable, relaxing and a total nature experience surrounded by beautiful woods in the mountains. “Tucked away”, however strategically located at 5 minutes drive or a nice mile hike from local stores and restaurants. A front and back covered porch surrounded by nature’s beauty. Sarah’s admirable attention to detail and warm southern hospitality offers absolutely everything needed for a comfortable, warm and homy vacation. Even though secluded, this cabin’s location is privileged and close to more than 6 other mountain towns worth visiting, and just minutes away from the supermarket and easy access to gorgeous lakes, State Parks and stunning cascades and waterfalls. We loved Cashiers and plan to return soon Thank you! .
All was wonderful, clean and comfortable. Only complaint was we are readers. And need more lamps. The small bedroom only had an overhead w so we moved one from the larger bedroom and switched the sleeping end of the bed so we could plug in a light. That light doesn’t turn off like the other one, so you have to pull the plug. One more thing to add. Tell people to bring a sheet to cover their car, I had a heck of a time getting the sap, nuts and stains off of mine. Thanks again, Jessie
Lovely spot in the woods! Jessie

Clean, Comfortable , Cozy , Conveniently Located ,Cabin
My wife and I along with our little pet dog immensely enjoyed a 7 night stay at Tuckaway Cabin . Our first impression was it’s warms , inviting, outside appearance . Going inside our first thought was of it’s cleanliness and well-stocked amenities !! Two decks , well stocked kitchen , comfortable furniture , ample chairs for inside and outside seating , central heat and air for year round comfort , and very comfortable beds for sleeping . This cabin lacks absolutely nothing . We were especially thrilled with the kindness and helpful information that the owner gave to us both by phone and by text messages that made our stay so all the more meaningful and enjoyable . Lastly we greatly enjoyed the close proximity of this cabin to so many very must see sightseeing sights ! We loved our stay at Tuckaway and have already rebooked it for an 8 night stay in the Fall !! Don’t overlook this beautiful cabin and it’s lovely setting for your next trip to the Cashiers area !! It will not disappoint !!
Sarah’s cottage is tucked away in a quiet, lush and beautiful location with great amenities, beautiful gardens and walks right outside the door, and just minutes to everything you need in town. She is very knowledgeable and responsive, and her place is immaculate. Can’t wait to rent again!!!
