Warhorse Ranch

Elegant cabin in the woods. 3 story log cabin nestled at the end of a 500 yard driveway through the woods on a hill over looking a beautiful spring fed fishing pond. Enjoy the ambiance of an abundance of wild life from both the front and two raised large back decks. Take advantage of 60 acres of land with 3 ponds. Hike through the woods and open fields. Relish in the tranquility of feeling like you are away from all civilization, but less than a mile from local restaurants, stores, and medical centers.

You are in the country so expect so. You are in the country bugs should be expected. We do have pest control. But it is on acreage. Wasp and spiders do come and go.

Nice location. Neat house. Needs some update on pots and pans and front gate did not work, but those were minor issues. Again, a really nice location to relax.

We loved the house and grounds. The location was so peaceful and we all found it restful. It was a great location for attending a wedding in Collinsville. The accommodations were well stocked- plenty of towels, kitchen supplies and shampoo, conditioner and body wash. We would stay again in a heartbeat!

Refrigerator not working at all. We had lots of perishable foods . When we call to let them know, we were told to pull the refrigerator out of the wall, unplug it then plug it back in. It did work a couple of hours later. Meanwhile, we were afraid it would happen again. Wish it did and we went to Walmart to get a couple of big coolers with ice lucky for us. We did because the refrigerator stopped working on the second day again we put our food in the coolers so we could have unspoiled food

Comfortable for large groups

House is very comfortable and kitchen was great for preparing meals. The only challenge was the code not working on the front door. It would take several times to get it to open or lock.

Tranquil Hideaway

The house was very nice and clean. It had everything and more. You can sit by the water and enjoy the nature sounds or snuggle up on the recliner sofa and watch a movie on the giant television with surround sound. My only advise is, if stairs are a problem, this is not your house. Will definitely stay again in the future.

This beautiful house was just perfect! We came to Gainesville to visit Oak Meadow Ranch which was amazing! We loved staying at the house because it was located in the perfect spot, Private and perfect for my family! We loved the pond and the kayaks. Everything about the house was wonderful. The only suggestion would be maybe a Keurig. We would definitely stay at this house again in the future! Thank you!

Family Resting Place

From the ease of check-in to sad goodbye, we loved this place! I was looking for a quiet place for my grown children and grandchildren to stay, away from all the excitement of a wedding. Warhorse Ranch was the perfect setting. Quiet mornings for sipping coffee on the porch, and lots of space for everyone to be comfortable. My grandchildren said they would “ love to come back” and that was all this grandma heart needed to hear! Hope to make this a regular family meeting place!

Family Birthday party for 90 year old

The property was beautiful and perfect for a family gathering. Although not very handicap friendly with three floors the main floor was perfect for a large group get together. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would definitely do it again.

Spring break

Our family had a great time kayaking and fishing on the property. The house had lots of room and everything we needed. We loved sitting on the porch at the end of the day to watch the sunset. Thanks for a great stay!

Wedding

We used the location to stage for our son's wedding. We hosted the rehearsal dinner there and the bridesmaids stayed with us Thursday night. The only issue we experienced was the A/C unit downstairs would not turn off. temperatures dropped to low 60's overnight downstairs. Loved the stay and location.

We felt like we were on the mountains!

The house and views were fabulous! The owner and property manager were prompt to answer our questions and went beyond to make our event memorable. The property was perfect for our family and for hosting our son’s rehearsal dinner. The children loved playing outside, and the deck area was perfect for visiting.

Nice location and loved the views. Perfect amount of space for our family. We had fun fishing in the pond and caught a few small fish (which we released back into the pond). There was a lot of pet hair still on the floors/rugs so we vacuumed that up ourselves. Other than that the house seemed pretty clean. The propane tank for the grill was empty, so we ran down to Dollar General and got a new tank which the property managers reimbursed us for right away. The front door smart lock just never worked right for us and we couldn’t use it - but luckily our whole party never needed to leave at once so there was always someone at the house to manually lock from the inside of the house (the house was unlocked when we arrived on the first day).

Great for Groups!

Love the fact this house had so many bathrooms! Perfect for large groups! The kayaks and paddle boat on the private pond was the highlight of our trip! The kids/teens loved it! The outdoor balcony was perfect for the adults to relax and watch the kids play! We will be back!

Out of town wedding spot

We had a wedding at Towering Oaks and had a big group of friends coming in from around the country. Dove Ranch was a great place for us to stay versus all getting hotel rooms. Clean and well taken care of, had everything we needed. Thank you!
