Casa Sueños (House of Dreams) is a magical escape into a Fairy Tale setting. This cedar log home is surrounded by woods.

Every morning birds will sing you wake up songs. Gorgeous wood peckers can be seen from the wrap-around deck. The sun rises through the trees into the master bedroom.

At night, the stars shine through the sky light. There is no more romantic setting... yet it's great to share with lots of family and friends as well.

Casa is just 10 minutes from the beautiful Main St. in Highlands, yet it's cozy and tucked away in the woods. You will absolutely love it and return often. Guaranteed!

Morning coffee on the porch watching the sun was perfect! The hot tub was an added bonus. Not too far from town so it was a good location. Driveway is quite steep so heads up on that. There was plenty of firewood and the house was completely ready and stocked.

Casa Sueno was everything we hoped it would be. All five of us, and my service dog Tess, had a wonderful relaxing stay. I live on a barrier island in Florida, and wanted a woodsy rural setting. I was very content to stay in the cabin and only went out a few times, to shop, see Highlands and visit a waterfall. My daughter in law stayed in the cabin the whole time because she found driving on the mountain roads scary. My sons ventured out a lot and took various hikes in the area. The bedrooms were ample and beds super comfortable. No problem with the laundry. Kitchen utensils were minimum, but adequate. Appliances were new and functioned well. This was important, since we ate all are meals at the cabin. Our host was responsive to our needs. I would highly recommend Case Sueno to anyone looking for a getaway in the eastern mountains.

Our stay started off a little rocky as a tree was blocking the driveway up to the cabin when we arrived. When I contacted the host, he quickly called a tree service and had them out there in 1-2 hours to clear the driveway so we could make it up to the house. Otherwise, the cabin was great and we had a great stay. Would recommend this place to anyone.

We had a girls weekend getaway and this lovely cabin in the woods fit the bill perfectly. The host was quick to respond to questions and the house was very accommodating. We enjoyed the sunrise on the deck with our morning coffee and the sunset from the hot tub. There were Christmas decorations up which was a nice touch. All and all we had a great weekend and would definitely recommend this house.

We had a wonderful week at Karl’s Cedar Log Cabin. Location is excellent due to the convenience to downtown Highlands yet felt very private. We prepared several meals and the kitchen was stocked with everything needed to cook. Beds were comfortable. Would definitely recommend.

My friend Patricia San Pedro and and I share this piece of heaven that we call Casa Sueños. Patricia and I were wandering down Main Street in Highlands and got curious about what the area had to offer. We walked into a realtor and asked what they had in mountain log cabins with fireplaces. Casa Sueños was the first property they showed us and it was love at first sight. We didn't plan to buy but we left the proud owners and have been loving it ever since. My daughter Sylvia, shown next to her very proud dad, has grown up with many great trips to the cabin with the beauty and charm that is Highlands.

Why they chose this property

Getting up to the cabin is quick and easy for us with a 2 hour flight into Atlanta from Miami and then an easy drive to Highlands. As easy as it is to get to it seems a million miles away once you get there.

What makes this property unique

We have the best of both worlds with Main Street less than 10 minutes away and the solitude of the cabin. Highlands is a great little town with lots to offer including great restaurants, shopping, art, culture, all with a friendly atmosphere.
