This ground floor unit has just been through a complete refresh/upgrade including new washer/dryer installation, ceiling fans added to bedrooms, new bedding, new kitchen accessories (including new glassware and flatware), and bathroom upgrades. Additionally, new lamps, new Master Bedroom side tables and new patio furniture have been installed and interior wall repainting has been completed throughout. Master has a king bed and private bath with walk-in shower and guest room has two full beds and private bath. Unit opens on to expansive lawn with heated pool and beach just steps away. All guests in A 104 enjoy complimentary beach umbrella and 2 chairs during their stay through Excel Beach Service. Non smoking.


Beach Service – If you didn’t pre-reserve beach chairs, just stop by the beach hut or call the Excel team at In addition to chairs and umbrellas, Excel offers kayaks and paddle boards for rent, as well as an assortment of snacks and drinks.
Tennis, Basketball, Pickleball, and Shuffleboard – Forget your gear? No worries, you can check out rackets, balls, and more at the front desk at no charge!
Grilling Out – In the busy months of spring and summer, many families opt to grill out rather than go out. We have eight charcoal grills available. There are several seafood markets nearby, including Blalock’s which is just a block to the west (p.s., their tuna dip is a must try!).
Fitness Center – Did you know we have a fitness center in the Penthouse building? Just stop by the front desk to borrow the key.
Family Activities – There’s always something fun on the itinerary at Silver Dunes:
• Annual Easter Egg Hunt in the Courtyard – Easter Sunday, 9 am in the courtyard
• Scavenger Hunts – Throughout the Spring – for children of all ages! Just stop by the office to pick up your scavenger hunt necessities. Once you’ve collected everything, stop back by the office to pick a surprise from the Silver Dunes treasure chest!
• Movies in the Courtyard – Bring a picnic blanket, your beach chairs, and join us on Mondays at dusk throughout June and July. We show a different family-friendly movie each week.
• S’mores Nights with Live Music at the Pool –Wednesday nights are awesome at Silver Dunes! Throughout June and July, the firepits will be out, s’mores roasting, and tunes playing!

PERFECTION!!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Outstay was perfection! Silver Dunes provided the perfect vacation spot for our family. We rented 3 condos in A and my sister rented 3 in D. So our families were across the huge, open green space. It was perfect for our many toddler grandchildren to play together while parents and grandparents could keep a watchful eye. With the pool on one end and the beach on the other, it was easy to enjoy either. The condos are great. They are not “big” spaces but out time was spent outdoors most of the time. We stayed in A104, 105 and 106 and they were all just great. I’ve learned after coming for several years to bring some of my own sharp knives from home, and my girls bring an InstaPot and Crock Pot because we don’t eat out with so littles. The location of Silver Dunes is perfect with every retail store you might need within 1-2 miles. It’s one of the few locations that is not a high rise which would not work for our young grandchildren. So easyTo bring your beach cart and easily transport all your gear to the beach. We LOVE it and will never stay anywhere else!

Perfectttt location, right across the pool and quick, short walk to the beach. Love the complimentary beach service. The unit itself could do with some upgrades-- the blinds on the sliding door were a nightmare. Many were missing so people could see straight in at night with the lights on, and some even fell off when opening them. Definitely need replacing, these are relatively expensive units so it felt silly to not have functional blinds. Other than that, we really had a great time and absolutely loved the community events at the condos like stores & concert night and movie night. Very cool! Everything was super clean and easy to navigate based on detailed instructions.

We firstly had to deal with the new towel, toilet paper policies but the biggest inconvenience was the Painting Crew being at our condo 3 times during the week. I had 2 units and this meant 6 different days of painting.You do not pay $2670 for a week to have your kids getting paint on their clothes / hands etc. Again this painting being done during our stay was totally inapropriate. The painting crew were pleasant but this really was annoying.You will notice we have not rebooked aand this is not usual for us.In our group there was:OSULLIVAN (2 units)ABBOTTNAYLORPOLLARDThe Pollards had a bad experience with plumbing.I'm still trying to decide where we go in 2019, we all love being together but had a bad experience this year, and with increased prices things should be getting better and not worse.

Not as nice as it used to be.

Reviewer Comments: We have stayed at Silver Dunes for 15 years now, and part of our group over 25 years.We had a Yeti backpack stolen from my friends patio, and next to his condo they stole an ice chest from them with all there food and drinks. Security was not around. There used to have a security guard who would walk the grounds at night, not anymore. My room was not cleaned properly, fruit loops under the sofa and trash under my bedroom. Windows were not cleaned in a while.Had to buy Windex to clean them so we could see out. The beach crew is nothing like George. George would adjust the umbrellas all day long and rake up the seaweed from the beach. I understand the ecological reason for leaving the seaweed. Kids sneaking in the pool after 10pm. Last the cost went up $600 from last year and the year prior went up $300. Beach service was $150 and now $200 . The air conditioner went out in my Condo, but I have to say Andy the property engineer did go out of his way to help it get fixed on a Sunday. He is a great asset to Silver Dunes. These are the cons. Now for the pros. The condo has a great floor plan, and great location on the property. The front office personal were very nice. We still had a great time and look forward to next year if we can afford to come back.

Right off the Patio

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We love Silver Dunes, this has been our 10+ time staying here. First time getting a ground floor unit and it was great for the kids to just walk out in the courtyard and find their beach friends. A few things that we were disapointed in; no fans in the bedrooms, not the best thing for summer or having kids. The Master Bathroom toilet, we could barely use comfortably so we mostly used the other bathroom. The thermostat was locked at 70 degrees which was nice during the day but with no fans in the rooms, everyone was hot at night. No step stool in the bathrooms for kids, we had to pull one of the kitchen table chairs to the bathroom so they could wash their hands and brush their teeth. First day we killed a cockroach that was hiding under the girls beds, very disgusting. Overall we will always stay at Silver Dunes but not at this unit.

Very Convenient

Everything about this property was convenient! We stayed on the ground floor, so we walked right out the door to the beach and pool. It’s also conveniently located near all the best restaurants. We had 4 adults 2 kids and 1 infant and we fit perfectly. Definitely recommend for families with small children.
