About this property
Renovated Historic Row Home in Fitler Square!
Beautifully renovated, historic trinity home with amazing location! Located in the heart of Fitler square, our single family row home was built in 1825 and renovated in 2020. Trinity homes are a unique part of Philadelphia’s history and are traditionally one room per floor, connected by a narrow circular staircase. (See photos to be sure you feel comfortable navigating!) Walk to 30th St Station, Schuylkill Trail, CHOP, UPenn, Drexel, Rittenhouse, Fitler Square and more! New HEPA air filter!
Our private, modern colonial style home has a living room and kitchen on the first floor. The second floor has the bathroom and two private sleeping spaces: one bedroom with a queen bed, and a second bedroom (no closet) with two twin beds. The third floor stairs open into the final bedroom with an attached balcony and working grill. Window a/c units, robust wifi, and a kitchen with all the amenities you need. Trinities are called America's first tiny homes - while the home sleeps 6 comfortably, the living room space is not large - please view the photos!
A note: Our laundry team enters the home to pick up and drop off linens from the basement on Tuesday and Thursday mid-mornings. Guests are welcome to be home or away during their quick stop.

The place was in a great location to explore Philly. Jessica was great and communicated promptly. The kitchen worked well for our family, and the large washer and dryer in the basement helped us out.
Really cool histoic row home; our boys loved the curved stairs. Small, but perfect for our weekend getaway to the Philly. Good location for our activities in the city. On street parking was a bit crazy with all the snow. There is a public parking lot within 2 blocks that was reasonably priced. A couple cleanliness issues. Jessica was great and responded promptly to messages!
Very cute, clean, quiet and convenient place. The quarters are tight, but comfortable. The stairs are definitely steep and may be a bit difficult for elders and small children. Parking is findable through SpotHero at host suggestion. There are private spaces on alleys with in/out privileges. Walking even at New Years to local attractions and shopping is easily doable. We walked about 6 miles a day, but I’m a walker anyways with a normal 8 miles a day. Snow and ice weren’t any issue around either. Only suggestion I have as an amenity is a coffee grinder.
Clean and comfortable home. Very walkable to the historic sites and then you return home to the cute and quiet neighborhood. Little coffee and food shops dot the neighborhood and Sally’s on the next corner makes a great pizza! Home is nicely appointed. Check in and check out was easy and our host was quick to respond to our questions. We enjoyed our stay.
From booking to check out the entire stay was seamless. We did have to park in a paid lot and walk about a block to get to the home, but the lot was reasonable and the best option as parking can be hard to come by.The home was stocked well: towels, linens, kitchenware and even had fans for extra air flow. Beds were comfortable and my son’s friend said it was the best he’s ever slept! The location is awesome. The Art Museum and “Rocky Steps” are a little over a mile away via a nice walk along the river, which you can access right around the corner from the house. Lots of restaurants around with plenty of options and price ranges made the stay even easier. We would definitely look to rent again should we return to Philly! Thanks for a wonderful stay!
We loved this house and the neighborhood. We had access to great restaurants and coffee shops, and we barely ventured past the immediate few blocks, except to go to the Hospital at the University of Pennsylvania (about a 20 minute walk or 8-10 minute uber ride). The house was exceptionally clean, tastefully decorated, and well-stocked. The beds were fantastic. Our only issues were the keypad, both getting in the first night (really user error in the dark) and then likely due to construction next door. Host was super responsive, but I did have to call to get a response, largely due to timing of the issues. The hosts were kind and helpful, and I would definitely stay here again.
The house is in an excellent neighborhood and a short walk to U Penn's Franklin Field. It was very clean and accurately represented. The staircase takes some getting used to, but navigating it made for a few laughs.
Perfect place for a family getaway in Philly!!
We used to live around the Rittenhouse Sq, so it’s very nostalgic to stay in this neighborhood.
Very safe and quiet neighborhood.
Few blocks to nice coffee shops and restaurant.
There’s a grocery store few blocks south of the house, so that’s a big plus for family travel too.
Thank you so much for allowing us to stay here!!
We had a great stay in this Fitler Square Trinity. The historically accurate stairs were steep, but the hand rails were helpful and we took our time going up and down.
This little townhouse has lots of character. The staircase really is as narrow and winding as the listing describes but it made it interesting (my elderly parents definitely could not have done it).It was very clean and the communication was excellent. The bedrooms on the 2nd floor are quite small. My youngest daughter stayed in the bedroom with two twin beds and it did not have an air conditioning unit. Even cranking the other bedroom’s temperature down quite a bit and leaving the doors open did not cool it down enough for her to be able to sleep well.
Our family (mom/dad plus 10 & 13 y/o) spent a great week at this “trinity” rowhouse in the Filter Sq area. Loved house and its perfect location for our family to explore Center City and Penn’s campus. The house was built in 1810 and while we loved period architecture, it might not be appropriate for older travelers (these homes have *very* steep stairs).
Easy to find in a great location close to the Parkway, Penn and downtown, in a nice, diverse family neighborhood, this home is cozy and easily accommodated my three friends and me. Spiral staircase might be a challenge for some, but my 6'6" friend and I (6'7") managed fine. Hosts are very communicative and got right back to me if I had a question. A good place to sleep while exploring the city, the mattresses were excellent.
An absolute gem, in the perfect neighborhood. A beautiful park just a few blocks away, easy walking distance to historic sites, upscale (and dive!) bars, restaurants and shopping + public transit. We loved our stay in an authentic Trinity house, full of history and character. As advertised, it's small, but we had no issues at all with the size, since we were mostly out and about enjoying Philly, and the kitchen had everything we needed in an efficient layout. The host went out of her way to be helpful and welcoming. Highly recommend.
We enjoyed our stay in Philadelphia. The home was clean, the beds comfortable, and the neighborhood quiet. The hosts were responsive and helpful. We were traveling with two of our adult children, so there was a bedroom for everyone. The stairs were a bit of a challenge at first, but we loved the history of trinity homes.I misunderstood how parking worked and did not reserve a space. Jessica quickly gave me the name of the parking app, since my husband was circling the block. We were able to find a space 5 min from the house. We were told we could not move the car, but that was fine. We chose the house because it was in walk distance to everything we wanted to see. We also used the Lyft app as needed. We enjoyed lunch at 3Js Cafe and happy hour at Independence Beer Garden.
This Fitler Square rowhouse was just perfect! The kitchen has everything we needed and we really appreciate the coffee and coffeemaker. The 3rd floor wifi extender was great. The 1st floor shutters provide the right amount of privacy while letting light in. The kitchen faucet has a little note saying "hot is down" - I can't tell you how many sinks are baffling as you wait for the water to heat up! And we loved the neighborhood - walking to Pizzata, the Penn Museum, CVS etc. Thanks for hosting, you've got a great house!
