Three minute walk to the Beach Escape!

Welcome to Boca Chica!

Our beach house, Boca Chica, is tucked away at the north end of Virginia Beach, offering the comforts of home while being just a few scenic steps from the ocean. Enjoy easy access to the beach without having to cross any busy streets.

Grill and chill on our sunny deck or shoot down to the resort area for sites, bites and beverages! The entrance to First Landing State Park is also right around the corner. Go there to get your run in, take a scenic nature walk or bike ride.

Boca Chica’s fully equipped kitchen makes it easy to prepare meals and keep the tank full for whatever adventures you have planned. And our comfortable living and dining areas make gathering an effortless affair. We also have high speed cable/wifi, flat screen tvs, books, puzzles and games.

With master suites on both floors with full bathrooms--including bath tubs--you can rest easy and recharge.

Bringing little ones? We have you covered with double beds/bunk beds as well as an optional gate at the top of the stairs. A fully fenced in yard and outdoor shower offer privacy and a place to rinse off sandy toes after fun on the beach.

Fun and relaxation await you at Boca Chica! We look forward to hosting you at our wonderful beach home!


MAIN FLOOR:

Fully-equipped eat-in kitchen (pots, pans, cooking tools, utensils), formal dining room, utility room with washer/dryer and ground floor master suite with private bathroom. Half bath under the stairs.


Main entrance along with entrance to the deck/backyard and side entrance to outdoor shower and side yard.

Huge, sunny deck with outdoor seating and umbrella.

SECOND FLOOR:

Master bedroom suite with spacious private bathroom and flat screen tv. Two additional bedrooms - one with double beds and the other with bunk beds. Full bath in the hallway. Child gate available for top of stairs.

-TVs in the living room, downstairs bedroom and upstairs master suite.
-Kitchen includes: microwave, toaster, coffee machine, cookware, stemware, plates, mugs, glasses and flatware.

YOU MUST BE AT LEAST 25 YEARS OLD TO RENT OUR PROPERTY. IDs will be required.
We allow up to 9 people to stay at Boca Chica. This includes a maximum of 5 children.
Plan to bring your own bed linens, bath towels and beach towels. We provide pillows and coverlets only. We rent bed linens and towels for an additional cost of $150.00. Please notify us if you would like this service when making your reservation.

This was our 2nd year to stay in this house. Owner is very receptive and communicated with me in a timely manner. The house had everything we needed and there are plenty of outdoor beach chairs and a wagon to transport everything to the beach. It is a very short walk to the beach.

Comfortable house in a great location. Steps from the beach, making the trek to the water so convenient and made even easier with the provided beach cart. In an area that typically has good waves and is a little bit away from the crowds in the resort area yet still within easy access to restaurants and shops. Would definitely stay again.

Located in the residential/quieter end of Virginia Beach, but car noise at night can be an issue in some bedrooms that border Atlantic Ave. The house is a little dated, but very nice and clean. The beach cart that was provided made it easy to carry our stuff. The host was very responsive to any questions we had.

The house was very comfortable with everything you needed. The beach was a very short walk from the house and away from all the crowds. It was a great week vacation for our entire family.

This was a great little rental for our family and the proximity to the beach was just what we needed. Still not far from grocery stores and other beach attractions. We especially loved being close to First Landing state park. We felt very welcome and it felt like home for a week.

This house had all of the amenities that our family needed, and there was plenty of room for all of us to spread out. The owner of the home was very communicative with me over the months leading up to our trip (making sure we had everything we needed, etc) and even left our family a Welcome Basket. The house was as described on the VRBO website. We would definitely recommend this rental to others.

Family and friends vacation

The location and neighborhood is absolutely perfect. The beach is a very, very short walk away and you do not need to cross any traffic. The other houses on the street are very quiet and respectful. The property offers a lot of amenities that we wish would have been more clear as we wasted packing space on things already in the house. Overall, the property is as described and pictured. A great place to stay on a quiet street but still very close to the busier areas if that is what you are looking for at night!

Great week with family and friends

My family of five and my friend’s family of 4 all met up here for the week. The house was big enough for all of us and had everything we needed. The walk to the beach was easy (even with kids) and the wagon that was in the shed was a huge help hauling our stuff. The beach had lots of room and wasn’t very crowded. We had a blast seeing dolphins and ghost crabs. Check in and out process was very easy and Dave was very easy to communicate with and answered all of my questions promptly . Would definitely recommend and hope to come back sometime!

Davids place was large and spacious for our group. The kitchen had ample dishes and utensils as well as pots and pans. Blender worked great for our frozen treats! The shed had plenty of beach items and the wagon came in very handy. Note that while the home is in close proximity to the beach (just a few houses down the street) there is a bit of a walk from the boardwalk to the water, which was a bit hard for my older mother. David was very responsive to questions and had recomendations for a local seafood restaurant. We were very happy with our stay and would stay at Davids place again! Thank you!

We all enjoyed our stay here. It was nice having the shed of beach items to use. Like others mentioned a well stocked kitchen. There was also a crockpot that the owner didn't know was there. My only " annoyance" is and I'm sure it's because I'm a rookie at staying at a place like this. I didn't realize I needed to provide hand soaps, tp, paper towels, etc. Of course never thought to ask either. So it's definitety no fault of the owners. I would certainly stay here again. :)

We enjoyed our stay at Boca Chica! Proximity to beach was awesome! Just a short walk down the block. Accommodations were nice. The only thing I believe that should be listed on the online booking site is that basic items are not provided. It listed that towels and sheets were needed but this is the first vacation home we have ever rented that didn’t provide toilet paper and soap at bathroom sinks. Also, things like a hair dryer, salt and pepper in kitchen weren’t provided. I know those are little things but with as much as we travel and stay in homes, those have always been provided. There were a few other issues but we notified the owner of them. Overall nice stay.

2021 Beach Week!

This is a lovely, updated home quite near the beach with a well-equipped kitchen and a lovely beach shed with a cart, chairs, and umbrellas. It was such a respite after such a long quarantine! We shared many laughs and a few tears. This is a great location, with no roads to cross to access the very nearly private beach. David was totally accessible by text and very helpful in every way. We had a problem with the dishwasher, which he attended to immediately. We had a few dinners on the deck that were a bit daunting because of the road noise. Other than that, we felt this was the perfect location away from the bustle of the boardwalk! I hope to return.

Great spot in the north end

We had a wonderful time. David, the host, was responsive and thoughtful, starting us off right with a lovely welcome basket with necessities and treats. He took care of the minimal issues immediately that we had during our stay. The house was perfect for our family of six (including young kids) plus a rotating cast of extended family during our stay. The bedrooms are all well appointed and provided lots of storage plus comfortable beds. The kitchen was well equipped and had nearly everything we could want for our stay. The beach shed had every bit of gear we could need, including the all important Wheeleez beach cart. The outdoor space was a dream, with a large deck, shaded table, and fenced yard for the kids to play. The outdoor shower is enclosed but does open on to the road facing side of the house so not quite as private as would have been ideal (but remained an excellent perk even still). We will absolutely be returning next summer.

Nice but not exactly what we expected due to distance to water

Our family decided that we would try a new beach locale this year. After many weeks of searching, we chose Boca Chica. Our party consisted of myself, my spouse, my elderly father, and two children. David was quick to respond to questions. The property was extremely well-kept and clean. The porch and table are decently sized, and there was plenty of seating for the entire family. There is also a shed that has a beach cart, several beach umbrellas, chairs, and toys. There are 4 parking places for the property & 4 for the other unit directly behind the rental, similar to a duplex. No one was staying in the other unit the week we were there so I cannot comment on noise levels coming from that unit. Two nights before we left, we almost called the police as there was an extremely loud, sustained argument at one of the places next door to ours. There was also lots of road noise all day and into late evening which I did not enjoy. I would suggest a white noise machine or fan if noise disturbs your sleep. The house is directly beside the main road but there is an intersecting street that you turn into to access the property. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook with but I was very disappointed that all of the cabinets were filled with dishes and other kitchenware and there was absolutely no room for groceries. I had to stack everything on the kitchen table the entire week. There is a dining room table also so we did not have to move things around constantly. The refrigerator/freezer, stove, and washer/dryer are in good working order. The dishwasher was difficult to turn on and did not dry dishes at all. We had similar issues with the coffee pot. The air conditioner works extremely well. Probably too well. We got chilly often, which usually does not happen in other costal rentals we have been in this time of year. I would definitely suggest bringing some throw blankets. The beds were comfortable. The BR downstairs is a queen suite with a full private bath. Upstairs is another suite with a king bed and private full bath. There is a BR with 2 twin beds, and another BR with a bunk bed (twin & full). Another full bath upstairs and a 1/2 bath downstairs. One tv in living room and one in king BR upstairs. Caveat - steps from the beach does not mean steps to the ocean. You have twice the distance to walk across the sand to the water. It was very hard on my elderly father. Also, beware of the huge drop off at high tide if you go into the water.

We had a great time. We always try to stay in the North End. You’re close to everything but much less crowded than the resort area. We had a no issues with this property, very conveniently located. Short walk to the beach, parking was fine, plenty of room for needs. Check in was great. Communication with the host was easy and fast.

Our stay was fantastic. The property was as described and depicted in the photographs. The premises was tidy and had plenty of amenities. The owner provided a storage shed full of beach gear and a cart to haul it in to the beach. The owner was friendly and reachable if necessary. It is not beach front but was next to it with a brief walk. The beach was very quiet and clean. Although the property was next to a street, we sat outside often and was not bothered by the traffic noise. The fenced in yard for the kiddos was a bonus.

Great location!

Overall the property is very nice - good size for 5 adults & 3 children. Perfect location to the beach. Outdoor shower was great as was the use of the beach cart. We beach vacation frequently and this was better than most. Note that this is a duplex with another unit at the rear with some noise coming through the walls. The grill looks like it's never been cleaned so we didn't grill as planned. Also, both trash & recycling cans were over full on arrival Saturday. Trash pickup is every Tuesday but recycling is only every other Tuesday (which was not on our week) not sure the prior renters put trash out there was so much sitting there & most of our recyclables had to go in the trash. Also, found several dishes/pans in the cupboards that had food stuck on them. Those cupboards could use a thorough going over. Recommend guests bring a fan for the upstairs - AC doesn't circulate well on the 2nd floor.

Great family beach house!

We had a wonderful beach week at Boca Chica! It was clean and the location was perfect! It is steps to a quiet peaceful beach and in the beautiful north end neighborhood. The outdoor shower and shed full of beach gear were really nice! The owner is extremely responsive and left us a thoughtful gift basket. Wifi works great but cable is lacking so bring your Roku. Home is smaller than it looks on the picture because it is a duplex.

Great Beach Week

This house has everything! It’s clean and quiet. We didn’t need to bring much beach stuff with us they had a whole shed full. The fenced in yard was the topper, kids couldn’t get out and we had squirt gun fights. Would 100% stay again!
