The cabin was very cozy and allowed us nice family time. It was very pet-friendly. The dogs loved it! The property is beautiful. We spent lots of time on the front porch socializing. We hope to return!
It was the perfect stay to enjoy family...we cooked several meals and enjoyed the fireplace. The fenced in backyard was perfect for the dogs!Carly responded very quickly and kindly to the couple of questions I had prior to leaving on our trip.
The property is in an excellent location for peace and quiet, and that's exactly what we needed on this trip. Everything you need is provided and in good working order. We would recommend to anyone wanting a peaceful, relaxing stay.

Thank you for your kind review! So glad y’all enjoyed your time here.
A fantastic cabin and property only 10-15 minutes from Asheville. Kids loved the property and cozy fireplace. It was a much needed reset from our busy lives. Nothing beats a coffee early on the porch with the quiet sounds of nature.
The cabin was beautiful and we felt like the owner took care of everything up to the smallest of details! Was amazing for everyone including our pups, thank you!
This cabin is a gem. Quiet area with plenty of open space but close to Asheville activities. Cabin is well furnished and lots of fun in game room. Owner is very responsive to messages.
Will definitely come back.

Charming property!
We had a wonderful time at the log cabin---what a beautiful setting and relaxing atmosphere. It was the perfect combination of rustic and comfort. We enjoyed playing pool, sitting on the front porch while it rained, and sitting around the fire pit and soaking in all the nature around us. Thanks for a great vacation stay!
Our 3-day stay was exceptional. The cabin was comfortable and rustic but with everything you could possibly want or need. The host was very responsive and answered all questions quickly and accurately. The pictures of the cabin and grounds are accurate. Would definitely stay there again. It’s a wonderful experience.
This is a wonderful property that is close to Asheville (convenience) yet has the privacy (mostly) of being in the country. The roads do have a lot of traffic, though.
The house has everything you’ll need. Great layout and very spacious for a couple (almost too much room!) or a family.
The game room was a nice surprise but we spent the majority of our time on the front porch after a day of hiking.
My wife wanted a cooler weather getaway from Hilton Head, South Carolina. She and I were very pleased. The only constructive comment she had was the game room downstairs was nice, although not really finished. We never used it. We are looking at the Mountain View property for next year.

We're glad you were pleased with the cabin! Funny you should mention the game room...we are actually taking measures this month to finish it. Adding wood flooring, painting and some other little touches to make it more cozy. Thank you for staying with us!

Convenient to Asheville in a quiet rural setting
Dix Creek Cabin was a perfect setting for a mini family reunion. The floor plan is fairly open from the kitchen to the dining area, and from there to the living room. That let us be together and still have some space. The ability to bring a dog was a huge bonus. The "kids" enjoyed the game room, and we appreciated the garage for loading and unloading our car in the rain. The yard is beautiful, although persistent rain kept us inside when we were not enjoying Asheville, Biltmore Estate and the Blue Ridge Parkway. Thanks to Birgit & Tony for sharing their lovely home with us.

Fantastic!
The home is exactly as described. It it super clean and nicely decorated. When we arrived the owners had a bottle of wine, coffee, hot chocolate etc waiting for us which made us feel very welcome. The owners kept in touch and provided us with very clear instructions. They also quickly responded when we had a questions. The bedrooms were nice and the beds were very comfortable. The linens and towels were also very nice as were the bathrooms which were also very clean. The owners left us plenty of firewood - the fires were so relaxing. My daughter really enjoyed the basement with game tables. The environment was very conducive to family time. She even put her phone down and requested to play board games with us. She has not done that in years. She also had a great time making smores by the fire pit. Good to see a teen enjoy something besides electronic devices. Her favorite thing though was the visit by the small donkey and cow next door. That was a lot of fun! The house was also very close to Asheville and Biltmore. We were able to easily get to Biltmore and the Grove Park Inn. Asheville is a beautiful city and is perfect for a 3-4 day long weekend. This house was perfect and the hosts were wonderful! We highly recommend this home to anyone visiting Asheville. We are grateful that they shared their home on this site so that we could have such a great time. Why rent a hotel room when you can stay in a home like this? Thanks to the owners!

Thank you for taking the time to write such a wonderful review, Marie. We are happy you enjoyed your stay and the cabin so much. Sounds like you had some quality family time and we hope that you visit again soon!
We had a wonderful time on a trip to Asheville. The house was so warm and comfortable, it was hard to leave. We really enjoyed the front porch and game room. I will definitely stay there again on my next trip to Asheville.
The property was beautiful, a large well groomed hilly lot with a small stream, water wheel, fire pit and well lit at night, great ambiance. Overall a very nice accommodation for 6 adults, 2 small dogs. There were 2 full baths, a half bath would have been nice but not mandatory and a roomy front porch with rocking chairs. This house was a log cabin style which we really liked. There was a large downstairs game room which would be great for kids as well as adults. The house was well stocked and overall we had a wonderful time. Two recommendations to take it from great to fantastic would be toppers on the queen beds for more comfort and better lighting downstairs in the living/great room. Due to all of the interior wood and mature trees around the house, it was quite dark even in the daytime. Two or three standup lamps in that room with 3 way bulbs would really help. Otherwise highly recommend this property, it is only 15 minutes from downtown Asheville which made it so convenient for the wedding events we attended.
Fantastic cabin in a great location! Very well stocked and organized, resulting in a low stress and enjoyable stay. We had absolutely everything we needed. Thank you!!
This property was perfect for our family of four and our pup Sadie. Great location close to everything Asheville had to offer. The cabin was spacious, the downstairs game room was utilized often as was the very large front porch. The cabin came with everything you could possibly want and worked out perfectly as our base to explore the region. Communication was quick and easy, check-in and out was smooth. Our only negative was the neighbors dogs barking late at night but that was a minor inconvenience. Would definitely stay here again next time we visit the area.
New York and Florida family met in the middle at this great cabin! Sweet treats were left for us including a milk bone for the pup! Evenings spent in the great game room and taking the magical fairy lit path to the fire pit. Great main level space to cook, dine, and enjoy the fire and a movie. Wonderful memories made.
We spent 3 nights with two of our teenagers and had a great time. The house is as shown in the pictures and Carly was very responsive. Easy to get to downtown Asheville and surrounding area.
