Wonderful Cabin

This cabin is a gem. Quiet area with plenty of open space but close to Asheville activities. Cabin is well furnished and lots of fun in game room. Owner is very responsive to messages. Will definitely come back.

Charming property!

We had a wonderful time at the log cabin---what a beautiful setting and relaxing atmosphere. It was the perfect combination of rustic and comfort. We enjoyed playing pool, sitting on the front porch while it rained, and sitting around the fire pit and soaking in all the nature around us. Thanks for a great vacation stay!

Everything you could want

Our 3-day stay was exceptional. The cabin was comfortable and rustic but with everything you could possibly want or need. The host was very responsive and answered all questions quickly and accurately. The pictures of the cabin and grounds are accurate. Would definitely stay there again. It’s a wonderful experience.

Great Asheville Getaway

This is a wonderful property that is close to Asheville (convenience) yet has the privacy (mostly) of being in the country. The roads do have a lot of traffic, though. The house has everything you’ll need. Great layout and very spacious for a couple (almost too much room!) or a family. The game room was a nice surprise but we spent the majority of our time on the front porch after a day of hiking.

Great experience.

My wife wanted a cooler weather getaway from Hilton Head, South Carolina. She and I were very pleased. The only constructive comment she had was the game room downstairs was nice, although not really finished. We never used it. We are looking at the Mountain View property for next year.

Fantastic!

The home is exactly as described. It it super clean and nicely decorated. When we arrived the owners had a bottle of wine, coffee, hot chocolate etc waiting for us which made us feel very welcome. The owners kept in touch and provided us with very clear instructions. They also quickly responded when we had a questions. The bedrooms were nice and the beds were very comfortable. The linens and towels were also very nice as were the bathrooms which were also very clean. The owners left us plenty of firewood - the fires were so relaxing. My daughter really enjoyed the basement with game tables. The environment was very conducive to family time. She even put her phone down and requested to play board games with us. She has not done that in years. She also had a great time making smores by the fire pit. Good to see a teen enjoy something besides electronic devices. Her favorite thing though was the visit by the small donkey and cow next door. That was a lot of fun! The house was also very close to Asheville and Biltmore. We were able to easily get to Biltmore and the Grove Park Inn. Asheville is a beautiful city and is perfect for a 3-4 day long weekend. This house was perfect and the hosts were wonderful! We highly recommend this home to anyone visiting Asheville. We are grateful that they shared their home on this site so that we could have such a great time. Why rent a hotel room when you can stay in a home like this? Thanks to the owners!

Asheville -Country feel!

The property was beautiful, a large well groomed hilly lot with a small stream, water wheel, fire pit and well lit at night, great ambiance. Overall a very nice accommodation for 6 adults, 2 small dogs. There were 2 full baths, a half bath would have been nice but not mandatory and a roomy front porch with rocking chairs. This house was a log cabin style which we really liked. There was a large downstairs game room which would be great for kids as well as adults. The house was well stocked and overall we had a wonderful time. Two recommendations to take it from great to fantastic would be toppers on the queen beds for more comfort and better lighting downstairs in the living/great room. Due to all of the interior wood and mature trees around the house, it was quite dark even in the daytime. Two or three standup lamps in that room with 3 way bulbs would really help. Otherwise highly recommend this property, it is only 15 minutes from downtown Asheville which made it so convenient for the wedding events we attended.

Leicester Retreat

This property was perfect for our family of four and our pup Sadie. Great location close to everything Asheville had to offer. The cabin was spacious, the downstairs game room was utilized often as was the very large front porch. The cabin came with everything you could possibly want and worked out perfectly as our base to explore the region. Communication was quick and easy, check-in and out was smooth. Our only negative was the neighbors dogs barking late at night but that was a minor inconvenience. Would definitely stay here again next time we visit the area.

Asheville Vibes

New York and Florida family met in the middle at this great cabin! Sweet treats were left for us including a milk bone for the pup! Evenings spent in the great game room and taking the magical fairy lit path to the fire pit. Great main level space to cook, dine, and enjoy the fire and a movie. Wonderful memories made.

Great place for families and dogs!

We had an amazing stay! Where do I start. First, the cabin was perfect for our needs and very cozy. There was plenty of room for our family of 5 and our lab - big comfy chairs and couches in the living room with plenty of throw blankets, the King bed in the master was very comfortable and the air conditioning worked great, and there were fans in the living room and master bedroom which I appreciated because I love fans. Second, there was lots to do for the kids (a teenager and two toddlers). The game room was a huge hit for all of us (ping pong, shuffle board and a pool table with two couches, a fireplace and a tv), there was also corn hole and horse shoe for outside, tons of board games, streaming options on the tv (Disney, Netflix, etc), and more. And I personally appreciated the little things they provided for a family with kids and pets: stepping stool for the bathroom so the kids could reach the sink, toddler plates, nightlights and child proof door locks on the kids bedrooms, All Free laundry detergent, dog bowls, a doggie bed, poop bags for the dog, etc. The less a mom has to pack in the car, the better! And there was a mud room so we could keep our muddy hiking stuff in there without tracking dirt in the cabin. The outside area with the fire pit and water feature was beautiful and serene, and the front porch was a great place to sit and enjoy the crisp mountain air. The location was very convenient to Asheville (15 minutes). It is very private and a quiet, rural area in general, but you can hear cars go by at times and the neighbors occasionally. We had a great time and definitely plan to stay here again in the future!

Very good mountain retreat.

Very comfortable rustic log cabin and as described in the listing. The house was very well stocked with everything we could possibly have needed. We were two couples each with a dog. The porch and surrounding grounds were enjoyable for us and for them. Very dog friendly. We enjoyed our stay.

This cabin was purchased by family with the intention of creating a place to gather and make new memories. With such a beautiful house in an ideal location, we know others will also enjoy the cabin experience that we so dearly love.

Why they chose this property

This cabin features sought-after qualities that most people look for when traveling to the Asheville area. The property is large enough and landscaped to provide privacy and visual appeal, yet remains close to conveniences. Inside, the cabin immediately feels warm and welcoming. It has a very cozy appeal, yet provides enough space for everyone to spread out. This cabin is very family friendly, to include dogs, which was a key aspect for us. We hope guests enjoy this place as much as we have.

What makes this property unique

Our cabin is situated in a location where you can escape the tourism of Asheville, yet remain a short driving distance to conveniences and all the activities you might enjoy on your trip.
