Great place to get away from it all. Hosts were very accommodating with guides for everything and suggestions. Great views and places to visit. Cannot wait until the next visit!
This property was great for our stay! The host was very friendly and kind. The house was clean and comfortable with lots of amenities. The wrap around porch is awesome, and the firepit and lawn chair area is so great! Beautiful wooded forest all around the house and hummingbirds that come visit the porch :)
This beautiful cabin made our girls trip perfect. So clean, beautiful setting. Quite and relaxing. The linens and towels were divine. And there were plenty, not just one per person. Janice was the perfect host. Would stay here again in a heartbeat. So close to beautiful Flathead lake and Glacier. Couldn’t have been any better.
Six adults had a great four nights here - a touch of luxury after rustic glacier lodging. Great mattresses, bedding, towels. Kitchen had everything we needed and we could a lot. We spent every evening playing cards on the deck watching for deer, turkeys and humming birds.
The family and dining areas are extra large and also have several spots where you could sneak off and enjoy some quiet.
Hostess could not have been any more helpful and friendly.
Lakeside area let us rent a boat. Have great restaurants. And bounce to other nearby towns.
We were in town for a family wedding. We were surprised at the distance from the lake, however, once we got our bearings, we realized that this was the perfect home base for us. The seclusion and quiet was a welcome respite from the chaos of wedding prep. It was a joy to watch the wildlife and to hear the buzz of the hummingbirds each morning and evening.
It was lovely to be able to have the whole family together - a rarity as children become adults!
The kitchen is well stocked and we were able to create many delicious meals and make lots of new memories.
Janice and her home will always hold a special place in our hearts.
Our family of six, with kids aging in range from 6 to 14, stayed four nights at this cabin and had a lovely time! The cabin is located about an hour from the West Glacier entrance to Glacier National Park, about a mile from the town of Lakeside. There were so many charming touches that Janice does for her guests! There was a bottle of Huckleberry wine and a Huckleberry chocolate bar welcoming us when we first walked into the cabin! We spent much of our time exploring Glacier National Park or the surrounding areas, but we enjoyed every minute at the cabin. There were toys and board games for us to play at night, and horseshoes and cornhole to play before dark. We have stayed at plenty of cabins over the years but the amenities and special touches at this cabin far exceeded our expectations. It’s also important to note how quickly Janice responded to my messages prior to or during our trip. Things like that matter! If we make it back to Lakeside someday, I hope this cabin has availability!
Easy check-in/check out. Decent location.
What’s not stated in description:
* only 1 tub of laundry a day
* Can’t control the temperature. Need to contact her if you want it changed as it’s on an app
* No smoking anywhere on property (10 acres) was listed as no smoking but we assumed inside house (this has now been changed on-line)
* She was staying on property in a tiny house in view of the rental, not stated in description
* Downstairs was freezing, upstairs was HOT
* Downstairs had a bad odor
* can’t put trash anywhere outside, if you need trash removed need to contact them
* House was dusty, chips left in pantry, floors dusty, carpet needed vacuumed. This would not have been a big deal if she hadn’t told me on the phone it was an “allergy free house” which is impossible with tons of house plants.
We left 2 days early and my brothers family left a day early.

Hi Tondra-
Thank you for your feedback. Some of those rules are in place to protect the forested setting of the cabin, which can be prone to wildlife and wildfire. We will revisit our description and see how we can make such information more prominent. Our cleaners are usually pretty meticulous, so we're sorry to hear your comments about the house. We'll speak with our cleaners about that. Thanks again for sharing your feedback. We hope you still enjoyed your vacation and sightseeing.
We loved the views, hummingbirds, flowers and the comfort of Pinecrest! The home was immaculate and Janice is an amazing host and plant lady! Great location near Glacier.
The cabin was in a rural area and part of the road is dirt but the home at the end of the road was so worth it . Beautiful well cared for home . everything you could want or need .we will definitely keep this cabin at the top of our list when we are in the area again.
This was the perfect vacation location for my family and friends.
The website does not do this cabin justice. It is so much more beautiful than the pictures or descriptions can show. Some of our favorite times were sitting on the deck in the morning and the evening just enjoying the view and fellowship we had with each other.
Kim and Janice were amazing to work with. Kim was super and very quick to respond to any questions we had before our trip and Janice was great to work with during our stay. I can't say enough about how wonderful planning this trip was with the help of these two ladies. We had a special need at the beginning of our trip and they worked together to help us out. It was amazing.
None of us wanted to leave and we all plan on coming back to stay in this beautiful cabin!
My wife and I stayed two weeks in this wonderful cabin. I have stayed in many VRBO rentals and this was one of the nicest properties I have ever rented. Location is perfect to visit all the beauty of nature the Kalispel area has to offer. We seen deer and wild turkeys every day at the cabin. To just sit out on the deck and enjoy the clean quite air and beauty of the trees was refreshing. The owner, Janice as very responsive and a pleasure to deal with. The cabin was very well maintained and very clean. The beds and bedding was top notch. It was easy to get to but enough off the main roads to enjoy to nature that surrounds and the associated peace. The kitchen was well stocked and all that you need to dine in along with the outside BQ. My wife and I both had just a wonderful stay and would like very much to return again for another stay. Thank you Janice for sharing your lovely cabin with us!!!
My husband and I, my cousin and her husband enjoyed our time here while visiting Glacier and the surrounding area. The fully equipped kitchen allowed us to make our own breakfast and lunch and good restaurants nearby were perfect for dinner. Large deck on 3 sides of the cabin were perfect for relaxing. Large comfortable living room was nice to hang out at day's end. Cabin is away from the hustle and bustle and we loved the quiet! Sunrise is beautiful over the mountains to the east.
This was a great place! It's a little remote, but the payoff at the end of the road is a beautiful and peaceful setting. The owner met us when we arrived, and generously offered anything we needed to make our stay memorable. The log cabin feels like Montana - well decorated and very comfortable. We would recommend it!
The Lockwoods
This comfortable and cozy log cabin on the mountainside was the perfect location for our mini family reunion. Our 4 year old granddaughter loved sleeping in the trundle bed and the rest of us were comfortable in all of the bedrooms. Even though the temperatures were in the 90’s during our week long stay, the air-conditioning and fans helped make the place a cool respite after a day of hiking and exploring.
We highly recommend this place and hope to return sometime!
I rate this property a 10+++. It's a wonderful place to relax, enjoy nature, and breath deep.
From peace, quiet and comfort to the wildlife scene in our own backyard and those amazing stars filling the sky, this property is Montana EXQUISITE!
We throughly enjoy our stay!
We feel deceived by the listing of this property.
~Beautiful setting
~Great towels
~Remote house with about last two miles deeply rutted and narrow road that is painful for anyone with health issues to travel upon.
~Bathroom fan and kitchen fan very dirty
~Owner came by after two very hot nights to turn on the air conditioner we were told they didn't have. No remote was left for us to turn it on upon arrival at the property.
~Owner only left six digits of her phone number so couldn't call her. Waiting to talk to VRBO representative was unsuccessful, long, and she seemed concerned about other issues.
~We were told something at the time we made the reservation that turned out not to be true. Had we gotten accurate information, we never would have rented this place.
~Since we were in town for a memorial, these issues were extremely hard to deal with causing even more stress during this stressful time in our lives.

Hi Rick. Thank you for taking the time to send this feedback. We are glad you enjoyed the scenery and the towels, and are very sorry that your stay didn't live up to your expectations, especially during this difficult time. We pride ourselves on taking extra care of the cleanliness of the house and will pay extra attention to the fans next time. The air conditioner was a new installation and hadn't been turned on before - we apologize for not having that ready sooner but hope it helped with the heat for the remainder of your stay.
We stayed at this quaint little log cabin, it was beautiful and exactly what we were looking for. The owner, Janice was very courteous and was always there to help ( She made fresh cookies for us .. that was a really sweet gesture 🙏)The property had everything we needed and more. It is secluded and very much what we expected. We hope to be back soon .
Nice place but be careful navigating in the house.
We really enjoyed the property and the view, until the last day when one of our older family members tripped over a precariously placed staircase. When we called the owner for assistance finding an urgent care her first worry was that we couldn't sue because she does not have insurance. Initially we were planning a return visit but now not likely.
Our stay was wonderful. The cabin was perfect for a group of six to use for an extended weekend getaway. The kitchen was well-stocked, the social areas were comfortable, and the outdoor space was beautiful.
This was a perfect place for my wife and I. The property was secluded, but no too far to explore the surrounding area as well as Glacier National Park. I wouldn’t hesitate staying here again if we make it back to the area.
