The kitchen is stocked with everything you need to prepare great meals for your family and friends.
Enjoy overlooking the lush back yard and the pool from most rooms in the house. There are 4 TVs in the house. One in the first floor living room, one in the 3rd floor living room, one in the master bedroom, and one in the 2nd floor bedroom with the king and twin beds. Plenty of space to entertain, relax and enjoy St. Augustine. The backyard is fully fenced.
The St. Augustine and St Johns County area have a great variety of golf courses for players of every level and skill.
Butler Beach, where this house is located, is known as one of the most beautiful beaches in the northeast of Florida. It’s an expansive white powder beach! You’ll find fisherman, bikers when the tide recedes, walkers, surfers, kite boarders, shell gatherers, and of course sun bathers! St. Augustine city center, only 10 minutes north, is the most ancient, gorgeous city in Florida...and America for that matter! It hosts restaurants, stunning historic churches, some of the finest art galleries and a myriad of chic boutique shops. The first Friday of every month features an Art Walk, where some galleries even serve refreshments and stay open in the evening. As you walk cobble stone streets you have opportunity to explore history all around you, often hearing church bells. You can sight see through horse and buggy or trolley tours, or just shop 'til you drop! You will want to return year after year!
Pets and Service Animals: You must let us know if you are bringing an animal to the home, even if it is a service animal! It's important to let the cleaners know. Up to 2 dogs are allowed with a nonrefundable pet fee. They must be less than 50lbs each and no aggressive breeds. NO CATS! Please do not allow your dogs to jump up onto the beds or couches. If the dogs are accustomed to being allowed on the furniture at home, please bring blankets to protect the surfaces. If you forget to bring blankets, let us know and we will provide you with some. If you bring a pet and do not tell us or pay the fee, we will charge your damage deposit for the pet fee plus $100 for the unexpected extra services required to clean the house.
Per St Johns County regulations, only ten people are allowed per rental, not counting children 12-years-old or younger. That means this property is allowed up to 10 adults and the rest of the guests must be 12 and under.
Important info about pool heating and fees: Both the spa and the pool will be at the same temperature if you choose to heat the pool because they share the same plumbing and heater. Most people prefer a heated spa in colder temperatures to a heated pool because the spa is set to 101 degrees and the pool heater would be set to 85 degrees. If the daytime air temp doesn't get above 58 degrees the pool will have a difficult time staying heated. The heating of the spa is included with your stay. If you want to heat the entire pool we have an additional heating fee of $199 plus $25 per night to maintain the temperature. If you arrive at the house and change your mind about the pool heating, the initial heating fee of $199 will not be refunded.
Our pool technician comes on Tuesdays to check the chemicals and Fridays to clean. Our lawn/landscape professional comes on Wednesdays. These dates are subject to change based on weather or other factors, but in general that is when they are scheduled.
The cleaning company provides a limited amount of basic necessities (toilet paper, trash bags, dishwasher/laundry soap, etc.) to get you started, you will want to bring some with you.
We don't offer refunds or reschedule stays during hurricane season, even if there is an evacuation order. Please purchase trip insurance for your stay if this is a concern.
Garage is not available to guests. Our handyman might stop by if he needs tools or other items from the garage without notice. He will not access the house at any time without prior permission from guests, just the garage only.

House was musty when we arrived. AC range limitations (71 cool) did not allow for a setting low enough for air to come on overnight, leading to stagnant, humid, and uncomfortable temperatures in upstairs bedrooms. Not terrible, but not worth the amount we paid.

We do state in the information provided to guests that the thermostat "can be adjusted to your comfort within a preset range". During this guest's stay, the temperature outside was in the low 60's. The a/c is not going to turn on if it's already cold. We recommend that guests turn on the ceiling fans and perhaps open windows if they want it to be very cold indoors because setting the a/c system in the 60's or below can cause damage to equipment.
This was a excellent place to stay my family really enjoyed it. Everything you need is right in close range beach grocery store dollar general Walmart and a nice park . The house offers so much . The backyard pool and spa is paradise. And the owners are great . We will certainly be back .Highly recommend.

House was very well equipped and while there were only 2 of us this house would be great for a larger group. We loved the pool and hot tub. The house was within walking distance to the beach which was very convenient.

We had a great time at this property! The hot tub was nice and warm (big too)! There was enough room for everyone. The hosts were responsive to all needs and had positive communication.
Roomy and quiet vacation home, nicely decorated in a serene beach theme, walkable to the beach itself and within easy driving distance of the many tourist sites and restaurants. One powder room and one sleeping room on the 1st floor. Second floor has 3 bedrooms with one full bath and a master bedroom with an ensuite bath. The third floor has a sleeping area, no bath. There's plenty of room inside or outside to spread out. Appliances are on the older side, but do an adequate job.Bring your own saran, foil, baggies, laundry soap and more washcloths. Safety wise, needed are an accessible switch for the exterior garage lights over the driveway, grab bar in the shower, rubber backing for the many slippery throw rugs, actual railing(s) for the lovely main stairway, steps to the hot tub and a warning strip for the doorway to the laundry room, where the floor is 2-3 inches lower than the hallway, resulting in a badly bruised foot. Without a railing, it's really hard to carry suitcases up & down. The pool light switch didn't work and the pool area was littered with plant debris so we weren't comfortable using even the hot tub after a treacherous visit the first night. We arrived Saturday and the outside was blown off on Thursday and the pool Friday. Some of the furniture was broken including a really dangerous chair outside the back door that we propped up so nobody else fell backward in it. A little attention to these & other important details would make this place 5 stars.

We are glad you enjoyed your stay! Please note that you were staying in the owner’s home, so features like a grab bar in the shower are not required and we don’t mark on the listing that we provide things like that. If you require certain features for your stay, please look at the photos and ask questions in advance. We always hope that guests rate the home based on the experience and the property that is advertised, not on what they wish the property had instead. The pool is serviced twice per week by the tech and the lawn is serviced weekly. There is a net provided for guests to remove items that might fall into the pool between the tech’s visits. We were not aware of any broken chairs at the property, but the one in question has been removed.
Absolutely loved this home. The pool and spa were amazing. Plenty of room for our whole crew and the walk to the beach didn’t take long at all. We would definitely stay here again.
Super location, easy walk to beach AND intracoastal - so great views for sunrise and sunset. Kids LOVED the spa and then jumping in the pool. Lots of space for 3 generations.
