The Knotty Loft is located in Lutsen Mountains. You'll love this home away from home because it is a unit on the top (3rd) floor, with amazing views of the Superior National Forest. This cozy condo is the ideal getaway for a weekend ski trip or a summertime home base for your North Shore explorations.

Note: Free High-Speed Internet service is available throughout the resort, no access code needed (but you do have to accept the “terms and conditions” to log on). *Being a large resort and so far up north, it is not always a great connection.

This unit is individually owned and operated and is not managed by Caribou Highlands Resort.

The resort wants us to tell you that you do NOT have access to the “Resort-Planned Activities/Events” and the shuttle, but luckily this is a ski-in/ski-out vacation home!

Our local staff is pleased to tend to your housekeeping/maintenance needs and provide you with fresh linens/towels if you need additional. So please do NOT go to the Resort Front Desk. Upon booking you will receive the pertinent contact info for any needs. Thank you!

Such a fun stay

We love Lutsen and absolutely loved the ski in and ski out condo! Needs some updates for sure but and bigger coffee cups. It had everything we needed and Jesse was so easy to work with and communicated well! We’ll be back for sure.

Great Summer Getaway

The staff made our stay perfect. I screwed up on our reservation and put them in a bind, but they handled it like pros. I highly recommend staying at the Knotty Loft at Lutsen.

Great view! Comfortable beds and a really nice fireplace. Kitchen fully equipped and very nice location. Did find a sizable hole in the screen door and found a few stained linens

Excellent for guys ski trip

The property was perfect for a group of four guys to ski Lutsen for a long weekend. It was clean, everything worked, it was ski in and ski out, as long as the right lifts were running, and was very comfortable.

Perfect weekend stay at Lutsen!

We took full advantage of the fantastic location of the condo. We arrived on Friday and had made reservations at Moguls Grille for dinner. Over the weekend we visited Grand Marais, took a ride on the gondola, rented mountain bikes in Tofte, and hiked in the area a bit. We had a wonderful time and our hosts were amazing!

Love this place

We love Caribou Highlands because of the location close to so many activities - alpine slide, gondola, Grand Marais, Cascade River state park, Temperence River, Oberg Mountain, etc. We love this condo because of the bunk beds, two bathrooms, comfy decor, comfy beds, clean, the view and sound of the waterfall off the balcony. Also, the pools at this resort are top notch. The outdoor pool at night is amazing.

Knotty Loft at Lutsen Caribou Highlands

We had a nice stay at a very clean townhome. The amenities were very nice! Everything we needed was provided. There are some minor repairs that need to be fixed. There are many stairs to get into this unit.

Outdoor adventures

Overall my friends and I had a pleasant stay. We enjoyed the location since it was near Grand Marais and had a lot of outdoor activities nearby as well. Our one problem we had was that there were dirty dishes left within the dishwasher and did not have a pleasant smell (almost fish like). Other than that the Knotty loft was a nice place to reside and stay when wanting to explore northern MN.
