Welcome to the Blue Ridge Mountains! This one bedroom studio in the Rumbling Bald Resort is close to Chimney Rock, Asheville, Hendersonville and Tryon. It's the perfect start to adventure or relaxation!
Apple Valley Villas is a cozy spot with all the basic amenities you need during your visit to the Lake Lure area. The space is equipped with a kitchen, full bathroom and a living room/sleeping area. The tv can be enjoyed from any area in the room. The king sized bed is plenty of space for two people to rest comfortably. If you need additional sleeping area, the sleeper sofa can easily sleep two children or one adult. The kitchen table has room for four people to enjoy a meal together or play games. Almost any meal could be prepared in the villa using the cooktop, microwave or toaster oven. There is a small dishwasher so you don't have to spend your time cleaning up. Step out onto the balcony for a breath of fresh air. Settle into one of the outdoor chairs and read a good book or just relax. This villa features an interior connecting door to the unit right beside it. Book both places if you have a larger party and you can stay together!

Guest passes are standard with your reservation to access the member areas of the Rumbling Bald Resort, including two outdoor pools (seasonal), spa complex with indoor pool and exercise room, miniature golf, boating, hiking and two championship golf courses. On site restaurants offer delicious and readily available options.

Great July 4th Activities for Family!

We absolutely loved the activities offered at Rumbling Bald throughout the July 4th weekend - so much family fun and our kids had a blast! The studio was clean. We didn't realize that this property is not walkable to the Rumbling Bald restaurants and pools, but now we know!

Clean, well equipped property. All amenities available. The caRpet could use a good shampoo otherwise all Clean. Close to the resort that has pools, golf, fishing,tennis,etc. We enjoyed our stay.

I'm glad you enjoyed your stay! Unfortunately this high season of constant bookings does not allow time for deep cleans like carpet shampooing. Those have to be performed in the off season. We have scheduled a small renovation for the carpet to be changed out to wood flooring, later next month. We look forward to no longer needing carpet cleaning services!

This space was perfect for our little family. It was a cozy space in a beautiful setting. The kitchen was well stocked and there were plenty of linens. Our pack in play and toddler bed fit just nicely. The property was a short drive to the beach where there was plenty of parking, changing rooms, bathrooms, etc. Very picturesque!

Nice Villa!

Great place. Had to buy an air mattress for the boys as the pullout bed was horrible. Manager said they were were working on a replacement and offered to bring it out for 2nd week if found which was nice, but the boys were going to camp, so told her not to worry with it for us. She was great at communicating. Some of the amenities also require an extra fee beyond the guest pass we were not anticipating so we couldn't do some of those things as much as we wanted like we had hoped. Also .. beware .. NO LAUNDROMATS any where on resort, Lake Lure or Chimney Rock! It's a great place though and the bed & pillows were super comfy! We enjoyed our stay!! Thank you!

The resort extends many amenities to guests including access to three pools, lakefront beach and playground, multipurpose play area with basketball courts and tennis courts, mini golf and a wellness center with spa packages available. Amenities like playing golf on the championship golf courses or renting boats do incur an extra charge.

Nice holiday weekend stay

The condo was just as described. We loved being able to have access to all the amenities at the resort and loved being able to show our kids where we got married! Small family of 4 comfortable but cozy fit. The pull out bed wasn’t the best but put some blankets down before the sheets which seemed to do the trick for the kids. Had the basics and overall was a great stay.

The Apple Valley Villa was exactly as listed on VRBO. The host, Casey, was very accommodating. The location was perfect for us, as we were visiting friends that own a lot and had their Coach parked at the Apple Valley Motor Coach Resort. We truly enjoyed our visit and will definitely stay at this Villa the next time we visit.

Cute but needs some attention

Booking our condo was easy and the customer service was outstanding. The overall room was set up nicely and had all your basic essentials for a comfortable stay. The downfall of the room was the mold and the musty smell. There was mold on the bathroom ceiling and active growing mold on the inside of the coffee bar cabinet. The AC made the musty smell more intense. I probably would not elect to stay at this location again.

Furthermore, we have updated the cleaning checklist to include inspecting for this problem regularly. We always reach out to our guests to ensure that they are having a wonderful stay. Regrettably Lisa did not report any of these concerns to us directly.
